I really like this location! I def prefer it over Garden Grove. We have had a bad experience with the staff at the Garden Grove location but Fullerton's staff was a breath of fresh air. Mo Ran Gak does have usually a long wait, but personally, think it's really worth it if you're in the mood for neng myun in particular. I've been here about 4-5 times now and think that the restaurant has been super consistent. First off, note that this restaurant at least on weekends will usually have a wait ranging anywhere between 30 minutes to over an hour. You aren't able to make a reservation online or via phone. Instead, you'll have to sign up for the Yelp Wait List in-person. There's a Paris Baguette and a supermarket nearby (as well as a few other restaurants) to chill for a bit. The waiting area does have a couple small umbrellas but nowhere to really sit. You'll get a text once your table is ready. Parking is also a bit tight since this is a very crowded strip mall with a lot of shops. Once you're in though, they are like a well oiled machine here. Tables are cleaned and set usually once you enter. Ordering can also happen pretty quickly if you know what you want. If it's your first time here, the menu can look a little intimidating. We usually only order one of three items - the mul neng myun (the more soup-y cold noodles); the bi bim neng myun (the spicy cold noodles); or the galbi combo that comes with either of these items. When we order at this location in particular, we usually are able to get a regular sized neng myun and a smaller one with one order, great for those that want to try different ones out. I'm personally a bi bim neng myun fan and think this one is wonderful. It includes some skate fish and is saucy. I don't think it's overly spicy (although your mileage may vary) and is just so flavorful. I usually am not the biggest mul neng myun fan but think the one here is also strong and flavorful. Love the amount and includes the sides of mustard/vinegar as well. The banchan here is also strong. Love that it comes with seafood pajeon (the seafood Korean pancake) and that is easily shareable amongst the group. And the combo galbi as a heads-up is cooked in the kitchen, not at the table. They do have a lot of meat options as well in addition to ordering extra pajeon. We recently also tried the mackerel here too which wasn't bad but definitely not the highlight And they have both hot tea and cold tea available as well. And think the pricing is strong here as well. All-in-all, would highly recommend Mo Ran Gak! Just come early/be prepared for the wait. read more

We got the beef combo for 2 and two cold noodles and it was very filling! The food is always great at Morangak but the service here was so exceptional. Morangak is absolutely worth the hype. The BBQ combos are such a great value for the price, and the chadol was truly out of this world. What's often considered the "cheapest" cut in Korean BBQ was hands-down one of the best meats of the night--rich and perfectly flavorful. Every single dish we tried was truly top notch. From the fluffy gyeran jjim to the refreshing naengmyeon and the deeply comforting doenjang jjigae, nothing missed the mark. You can tell there's real care put into both flavor and quality. Finally got the chance to check out this place and man, it did not disappoint at all! Located near the Korean supermarket (AR Mart) this place is busy almost all times of the day. The four of us went with the non marinated beef combo for 4. This includes brisket, boneless short ribs, ribeyes, and we choose the marinated bone in short ribs. The presentation of the meat was epic! Just look at the pic! Presentation was a 10/10. The banchan was excellent too! Loved the rice paper, the macaroni salad, the salad, the everything else I tasted. It was so good... the meat is where this place shined. The brisket was perfectly marbled. It was so soft and meaty. Loved that brisket meat and quite honestly, could have had a bunch more of it too! The boneless short ribs were excellent. Only wished I got more than 2 pieces haha. The ribeye was epic. We were very happy with the seafood options they provided and ordered the Dolpan Nakji Deapbap (spicy octopus w vegetables on sizzling stone pot).
