First time here, and everything was great! The side dishes were all so tasty. We ordered the BBQ combo--grilled seasoned whangTae (my friend thought it was a bit undercooked) and the spicy marinated raw crab, my favorite! Not too spicy and absolutely delicious--I finished the whole dish. Even writing this now, I'm craving it again ! The servers were super nice and took great care of us, cooking the meats and making sure everything was perfect. I'll definitely be coming back!

Okur...it is on the pricier side here but it is fair pricing due to quality food and the servers cook your meat!!! My hubby an I felt like movie stars b/c we were not used to this treatment, it was niiice. The cold noodles here do use the thinner noodles like angel hair almost so that may be a preference thing for people. The mul (water) broth was good, side dishes good and meat was really good. It's busy every time I'm here. Theres a kbbq grilling area and a non kbbq area where you can just order soups and different non grill assoc. items. Got the raw crab and that was pretty good and I thought the best price for amount given. It was a special at the time I went. It's clean, booth seating for kbbq mostly. Parking plaza spaces are kind of tight. I like going here for a lil more special occasions, but it could be some people's everyday. If I could, I would.

Can not say enough positive things about Arisu! Great naeng myun, kalbi, chiggae, and banchan!! We stayed to watch FIFA Korea vs Mexico and John, Brian, and John's mom (owner) were exceptionally welcoming! Offered free beers and soju!!! We will be back cuz the food and service were amazing! 10/10 stars!!!

Best experience ever for Korean BBQ!!! I highly recommend this place. This is the first Korean bbq restaurant that I've been to, where I don't have to grill my meats. Our waiter served and grilled the meat for us. Super friendly staff and a cute place to hang out with friends or have a family night out. I will definitely be back when I'm in town.

came here for dinner and it was delicious! got the beef set A and it was the perfect amount for 2 people. the meat quality was top tier. their banchans were also very homemade and they had some that you don't see at your typical kbbq spot. they also cook your meat for you which was nice touch. their cold noodles were delicious and they give a small extra portion and we got to try the spicy noodles as well. good vibes here and there's a good amount of seating! i can see it being busy during peak hours

Arisu is my fave kbbq spot tbh I love the quality of the meat and all the side dishes, I just love everything about this place My mom put me on so yk it's gonna hit cus all the Korean ajummas & ahjusshis come here post golf & church LMAO You deadass cannot go wrong with anything here, all the combos are great. Make sure u get the fresh lettuce wraps!! BEST THING EVER TBH, fuck a salad The cabbage pancake: FIRE. Soups: FIRE Service is good, gets kinda crazy sometimes bc they get so busy. But the servers cook for u and they do a good job everytime This spot is perfect for date night or large groups. My family actually came here after a funeral service before so I know they can accommodate for parties over 15 people, you just have to call and talk to the managers about large parties. Highly highly recommend!! Best kbbq spot in Buena Park

Clean kbbq place with quick service and ample parking. Went here for a weekend dinner - you can make an rsvp but we walked in - it tends to clear up of customers after 7:30. Ordered the combo for 4 people and also ordered some pork belly. The server cooked everything very quickly and was spot on. The meat quality was good for the price also. A decent variety of banchan also. I do like the ventilation here as well. Would come back!

Is chef changed or what?? Ordered the beef rib and chicken soup, but the chicken was undercooked. We sent it back, and when it came out again, it was still red and didn't look fully cooked (see photo). The soup also had a strong, unpleasant smell. My mom couldn't eat it at all.

There's a lot of parking available. Excellent service! They cooked the meat for you. I enjoyed the ambience very well because there was no hip-hop K-pop music. Excellent side dishes, a variety of side dishes. The meat was good, but I've had better.

Hands down one of the best Korean BBQ spots I've been to in OC! The meat quality is top-notch in freshness and texture. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, perfect for both groups and date nights. The staff is also really friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

Casual bbq. Groups of 2-6 easily seated. Smoky since food is cooked in front of you. Nice variety of sides. Delicious.

The food was delicious, they were very accommodating and helpful for my coworker who has to be gluten free. We both got soups, she had the short rib soup and I got the dumpling soup. Both were delicious, the atmosphere was very lively and you can tell it's a place family and friends go to eat and have a good time. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, if we're in the area again we'll definitely be back.

Do you have any gluten free options? Other than the meats?

Yes, we provide meat which is gluten-free. The sauce on the side that we provide is not.

    Is one-person party welcomed?

    Yes of course!

AYCE is no longer an eating option at this place?

This restaurant opened in 2020 and took over a restaurant that shut down and they had AYCE. But since the opening of this new restaurant, AYCE had never been offered.

    Do they offer lunch specials?

There are no lunch specials but there are combos that people get for lunch such as bulgogi combo or naengmyeon combo.

Which combos should we order to be enough for 7 people?

Hello. Most parties of 7 or more usually order 2 combos. It depends on if the people in the party are big eaters but they usually order #2 and #3 and it also depends on the type of meat you all like.

    Do they serve rice paper?

No rice paper. Just the radish.

    Are you doing dine-in?

Yes we are! We only accept walk-ins.

I'd never been there before, so this review is all about first impressions. As we approached, the sign caught my attention: "Under New Ownership." Outside, an employee sat scrolling on his phone. It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. While it's clear they've got potential, a bit more effort could turn Wholly Smokes into a go-to spot. Leaning in on those small details would really elevate the experience.

But since I moved out of LA, it's so inconvenient to get to. Enter Kyung Bok Kung -- what a find. I can get a fine dining korean bbq experience conveniently. I've been here a number of times, and this review reflects the few times I've been there. It's become the goto spot to take people from out of town who are visiting and want a Kbbq experience. Things I immediately noticed - lots of white and grey teslas in the parking lot during lunch - you know what that means? Golf Koreans. Yup. Go inside and you'll see incredibly well dressed older retired people with their buddies chatting up in private cubicles. Beautiful decor. It's like the background setting of a korean drama where there's a close-up of the guy and the girl - they're about to say something really serious to each other. The camera does a wide angle shot of them - and this is the restaurant it's shot in. Price points - this place isn't cheap, but they have incredibly good deals on a weekday lunch (cold noodles and meat set). Their dinner set course meals are priced around what you would expect from a quality steak house. This place is not as pricey as AB steak or Cote, but you're getting just as quality. Food - I've had the lunch set meals, the bbq grilled course, and ordered à la carte. One thing is for sure - they don't miss. I never had a 9 budda plate until I came here, but apparently it's like a thing that royals ate during the monarchy days. It was like a korean vegetarian taco. Very intricate (and slightly annoying) to put together but delicious - and a great test of your chopstick skills. Their braised beef (galbijjim) from their lunch set intersects savory, sweet, and tenderness in a way that only Korean grandmas do. I'm not a huge fan of Wagyu beef (just too rich and can never feel after eating it), but I have never felt that way coming out of here. Go here at night if you want to impress someone or celebrate something. Go here during lunch if you want a fantastic meal and want to see what the best korean food can taste like but don't want to break the bank.

The servers are usually there for drinks, handing out meat, and if there are questions you have. But there's a %10 service charge added to every check and it is not gratuity! It being our first time here, I wasn't sure exactly how their system works but apoun entering we stood by the computers and pos systems for a lil bit, it was loud and crowded and there wasn't a lot of free chairs. But we didn't mind. We were asked how much is our party and were told by the waitress that we can sit wherever we want. We sit in an empty booth and she then comes over to us and tell us we can't sit there.... Oh veh & then proceeds to put us in these horrible tiny seats in front of the walkway of the bathroom with a great view of all the kitchen hallway. We ordered our food and everything was fabulous. Towards the end of our meal my friend says "damn that waitress hates her job, she didn't check in on us one time" it was true. I had to flag her down to bother her for more napkins. Not once did she check in on how everything was or asked us if we needed anything. We asked for some to go boxes and she didn't even have the courtesy to pack it up for us. I did it myself.. to charge a 14.90 service fee and not offer any services is DIABOLICAL. Our bill was close to 170$ and my friend even tipped in cash like 30$ just as a olive branch because maybe she was having a bad day or whatever but the tall waitress with the beautiful curly hair that took the bill had significantly kinder energy and in the short interaction with her I wish she would have been our waitress. ..As we're leaving I look at the table where she moved us from and there's is this nice couple just vibing there.. like damn ok I see how Yall are... shame cuz this place really had the potential to be a vibe... but whatever what you give you get! The baby back ribs were tender and flavorful, the burnt ends were smoky and juicy, the crispy pork belly had an amazing crunch with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, and the traditionally smoked brisket was incredibly moist and perfectly smoked. I have the meal plan and this was a good meal as it's filling and a great value. The line wasn't crazy long yesterday, Sunday early evening, but seating is always tricky here. It's always busy but we got lucky to find a table. It's cool cause I guess a band comes out and plays for the guests while you're eating. We were already done.

Oh no. What can I say? I'm still reeeeeaaaallly disappointed I chose to eat here. In all my life of…read morecoming to Knott's, I had never eaten food from, Fireman's Brigade. I still have core memories from the smell of the BBQ and how packed it used to get. A couple people in our party decided to eat there, so we just followed and I didn't think anything of it. I don't know why I didn't check the reviews. It's not like me to skip yelp. In case you're wondering, they are an option for food pass holders. There are a good amount of picnic tables behind the little shack of a restaurant and attached to that back wall is a handwashing station. What we ordered. All came with one side for the food pass. 1) spicy sausage - I chose "roasted veggies". These were NOT roasted. More like baked to sogginess, unseasoned and bland. The bread was too thick for the sausage in my opinion. I took the sausage out and decided to just eat it with the veggies. The sausage wasn't bad. It's "spicy" but it's mild...I wouldn't trust my leveling of the heat cause I like mine hot. 2) 1/4 chicken - one of the kids chose corn on the cob and the other a baked potato. They were fine and satisfied with this. They said the chicken was good and wasn't dry at all. 3) steak sandwich - ordered with corn on the cob. One of the kids said they thought it was a little dry. When I tried it, the meat was not only dry but hard. For sure, this option is a no no for us ever again. He was just starving and going to town and was almost finished by the time I realized the issue. Would I come back? Eh. Not sure. If the kids want to redeem for the chicken, yes, I guess we could go back. Skipping the steak sandwich though.
