Miranda's Cake House - Some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had along with the very unique Hocus Pocus latte

Also picture after picture of delightful pastries: scones, artistically decorated cupcakes, cinnamon rolls and amazing cakes. It looked so good that we made a drive to Wagoner, just to give Miranda's Cake Café a try. It turned out to be a miserable mess. The only thing good about this café is the coffee and the very nice lady that was working today. Possibly Miranda herself. I ordered a Mocha and my wife had a dry cappuccino. Both drinks good. Only get coffee here, nothing else. The pastry case was almost empty. A couple of muffins, Danish and cookies, that's all. Not much to choose from. My wife settled on the Danish which was fair. I ordered the double biscuits and gravy. It was disgusting. A room temperature, tasteless bowl of cat food was what I was served. Check the picture. I think most restaurants would be ashamed to set that mess in front of a customer and then charge them $8 for it. When checking out the nice lady asked me "how was the food?" I just smiled and said fine. My morning was ruined, no sense ruining hers too. This visit to Miranda's Cake Café was a failure. Extremely disappointed.

The single biscuit and gravy was one of the best I've ever had, and huge and insanely inexpensive to boot! Miranda was so lovely and friendly and she talked me into trying her own latte concoction - the Hocus Pocus. It was an admittedly strange combination of (if I remember correctly!) butterscotch, raspberry, and hazelnut but it was an absolute taste sensation. She makes all of her own syrups in house too, which is pretty amazing. The space is huge and has some cute jewelry, shirts, and other crafty items for sale. Definitely worth a stop off route 69!

WOW!! I have been sleeping on this absolute GEM of a cafe!…read more Right on Main Street Locust Grove is this phenomenal slice of my personal heaven. The decor is vintage and mid century, but yet the vibe itself is refreshing and contemporary. Lots of space to enjoy one of their coffees, frozen drinks, or loose leaf teas as well as an assorted variety of food items for both breakfast and lunch. My friend and I both went for the biscuits and sausage gravy and I was immediately back at my Granny's kitchen table on a Sunday morning. We tried 3 drinks: the chai masala hot, the pistachio tempest (special) hot and the apple cinnamon butter chai (special) both hot and cold. All were delicious! Non food: If you spend a certain amount, you get a token worth different amounts to place in the community organization jars(pictured). I believe at the end of the year, Microsoft matches that donation. How cool is that?!? There's a book space/library in the back that is a take one, leave one or leave a donation model. I walked out with two books and a coffee Looks like they have a Saturday brunch with some live music and different food options that I'll have to try also. Overall, 10/10. I will definitely be coming back!

I came in behind a group of about 6-7 people; we were the only other ones there. The espresso machine was down, which sucked because I was really wanting some good coffee. I ordered a bison burger and Indian taco sliders. When asked if it was for here or to go, I let them know I was eating here. As I waited for my food, I watched everyone's food at the table next to me come out on plates and in bowls. Then, a staff member checked in on them to make sure everything was tasting alright and their orders were correct. When they brought my food out, it was in to-go boxes, and the mayonnaise and mustard I was told would be on the side were not, so I had to go ask for some. When I tried a bit of the meat on the Indian taco sliders, it was cold--not warm, but as if it was right out of the fridge. Nobody ever asked how my food was or checked in to see if my order was right. I asked if the meat on the tacos was supposed to be cold, and he said no, he would make me new ones. I'm about 90% sure they just tossed them in the microwave because the fry bread was a bit tough, definitely not fresh. Overall, I was pretty disappointed and probably won't be back.

Seeing this daily soup special (Roasted Red Pepper) I ordered it first and then asked about the Hummus Wrap, which sounded great so I got it and an Unsweet tea. She gave me my yea at the counter and I found a seat in the table area. About 8 minutes later, the cashier brought my soup & wrap. The soup was flavorful with chunks of roasted peppers and creamy soup. The Himmus Wrap was a very generous serving of homemade, thick hummus with some salad. Both were very good. The iced tea was brewed fresh and a great deal for only $1! Their receipt printer was broken and I needed the receipt for my expenses, so the cashier went out of her way to get a receipt printed for me from the office. I'll be back!
