Ordered online for Father's Day treat. Waiting at the counter for our order for over 30 minutes with waitress coming over 3 times to tell me a couple of more minutes. Then a manager comes out with my $79 order and after 35 minutes that she personally packaged it up. Omelet was cold, 1 package of syrup for 2 pancakes and 1 French toast. Expensive and disappointing. The review from a day ago is putting it mildly. The OWNER was sitting at the bar and proceeded to yell at an old man calling him a "fat fuck" and to "get the fuck out of my restaurant" after food took nearly two hours to serve some eggs and bacon. The owner then decide to complain to his staff saying "how dare someone ask for a free meal" when he is clearly in the wrong for yelling at the elderly with less than poor service. The owner of this store should close shop, might enjoy working as a corrections officer instead? I swear it was straight out of Kitchen Nightmare. Came early for breakfast and was seated in the back. Our waitress recommended items on menu since this was our first time here, and everything sounded so good. We ordered scrambled eggs with potatoes and a biscuit and the Low carb omelet. The coffee was very good and I loved the potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the biscuit was huge so we split it. I loved the whipped butter it came with. This became one of my favorite spots for breakfast. Not sure why it took us so long to visit this restaurant. Service was good, restaurant was clean, food arrived quick. Not overly busy on our visit but we usually see a group waiting outside on weekends. Guess we just hit it at the right time! The menu is large with different drink options and standard breakfast items. BUT they have some items unique to this restaurant chain like "bonuts" that we did not try but sound interesting. I ordered the French Toast Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon for hubby, and breakfast potatoes. I added peanut butter and bananas on the French Toast for a small up-charge. The scoop of peanut butter was large but the amount of bananas was minimal. Still, a good amount for the extra cost. Everything came out warm (not piping hot) and delicious. We've been here multiple times, so I figured it was about time for a review. First off, the staff is very friendly and the establishment is clean. I've had the biscuits and gravy, the chicken fried chicken, and the Bonuts. I can tell you, the brine they use for their chicken is hands down the best I've had. I've had chicken fried chicken at multiple restaurants and this is the only chicken where I didn't need a knife to cut it. The chicken is literally fork tender and will melt in your mouth. The biscuits are large, but could be fluffier. The gravy is good, not the best I've had, but let me tell you, the chicken makes up for it. I've had the chicken sandwich "yardbird" multiple times as it's my jam for lunch. The waffles were good according to my wife. My only complaint is that the prices are a little high, as if you want gravy with your included biscuit on your meal, it's extra. It's not really worth $2.50. I wish they would serve real butter with the biscuits instead of margarine, because that shit is gross. C'mon Big Biscuit, make it happen. Food was amazing. Waitress was awful. she was an older lady and it started off fine. She brought us our drinks and said she'd be right back. Waited 10-15 mins for her and thought she was busy but no. I look over to my right and she is actually leaning against the counter looking around and talking to other Workers. She then walks off to check out another table and didnt see her for another while. If you want to Swan Lake 30 meter high dive into your food like some kind of breakfast Olympian, well here you go champ, put on that eye protection and go to work! Wifey and I both got scrambles, er, SCRAM-BOWLS, today and we both left with to go boxes. She opted for the Holly but substituted bacon for the ham it comes with and I got the Laredo because I like chorizo and jalapeños!!!! We both chose to get biscuits with our swimming pools (bowls) and I had mine with a side of their sausage gravy. It's as delicious as it is large and I love how filling it all is!! Quality goes a long way with how it's prepared and what it's prepared with. Sure the menu items are a little spendy for some but I feel like here you get what you pay for!!! Overall this is a solid spot here in BA and yes it's a chain, but from what I understand it's locally owned and operated. It's a chain, I'll always take a mom and pop place over a chain BUT the service was super, the food was not bad at all and overall we were pleased. So why not go for it. I think bisques really are the thing there so I'll have to get The bisques and gravy next time around. read more

As we see this place on the way to other restaurants, we finally decided to try. First, the coffee was good. Food was good. Service was great! It was almost 5 stars until I saw the bill. My husband ordered chicken fried steak with biscuit, but the biscuit didn't come with gravy, so he ordered gravy on the side. (What kind of breakfast restaurant don't serve gravy on a biscuit?) The name of the restaurant is "Big Biscuit"! And the gravy wasn't great. But just the gravy was $2.50! Chicken fried steak plate was $18.99. So this is the most expensive Chicken fried steak breakfast for $21.50! With this price, we could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and could order 12oz Ribeye steak dinner! I had waffle with eggs and sausages. (Sausages were little too salty) Waffle was much better than Waffle House waffles. But $55 breakfast for two (after tax & tip) is a little too expensive breakfast that I wouldn't consider coming back. read more

I was looking for a breakfast place to order food to go and I saw this place so I made a stop. It was packed inside and there was a wait so that was a good sign. They took my to go order right away and got my food promptly so I loved that. Although I took my food to go I was still happy with my service they were very helpful giving me advice with the menu since it was my first time. I ended up ordering a pancake breakfast and I could smell the pancakes in the car my whole way home they smelled so good! The food is very very good, and the wait staff service is excellent and very good, but they really need to consider sitting less people at a time. We were there for probably an hour and a half total, and 40 minutes or more of that was waiting on food. We have a pretty mild mannered toddler, but 40 minutes of sitting in a pretty hard high chair is a lot to ask of any toddler. The waitress did do us a kindness and brought out his food first, but he was pretty upset by that point and just over being in a restaurant for that long. We weren't the only family there for that long either. One family there before we even sat down left roughly the same time we did, so who even knows how long they were there for. I should also add it's not the first time we've had to super wait for food, so I did give it a few more chances before reviewing. Again, wait staff is very nice, professional, and accommodating and the food is delicious. Just that food time was pretty bad. The place is lovely, with a lot of historical photos and a great atmosphere, but they definitely need to consider sotting less people. We recently stopped into the Big Biscuit while in Broken Arrow around lunch time. I suggested stopping here mainly to get a new review for you Yelpers. You owe me one. When we entered, the first thing we all noticed was the music was loud. Extremely loud. Painfully loud. The hostess started to seat us at a table directly underneath a speaker, but I pointed out the eardrum shattering volume and asked if we could be seated elsewhere, to which she promptly moved to an adjacent table. One table over. Seriously? I again pointed out the irritatingly loud music and asked if there was someplace else not so close to the music. We were led to the back of the dining area to another table.... directly under a speaker. At this point I'm ready to walk out. I politely asked if they could at least turn down the volume. After several minutes, the music was turned off completely, only to be followed by angry comments from people eating a the counter, and not a few nasty looks directed our way. So, THAT set the stage for an epic fail of a meal. The Wife got pancakes, eggs and bacon, The Kid went with chicken fingers, and I opted for the Pork Cutlet Sandwich and fries. I'll cut to the chase and say that this is without a doubt a breakfast place, because the only thing fit to eat on the table was The Wife's order. The Kid's chicken fingers were anemic, bland and an insult to chickens everywhere. My sandwich was without a doubt the worst pork cutlet sandwich I've ever had in the history of ever. It was so thin it only had one side, and there was no doubt it was just a frozen patty from a box that was deep fried. Thankfully the sandwich had some pickles on it, otherwise it would have been totally devoid of any flavor whatsoever. I ate around half of it before I threw in the towel. The Wife's pancakes were huge. In fact, too huge to eat anywhere near all of them. The biscuits, while also huge and soft, were little better than run of the mill Bisquik tasting lumps of bread. I get that places want a 'schtick' to work from, but what's the value in oversized pancakes that no one can finish, or huge biscuits that don't taste good? Just give good sized, tasty portions for a decent price and leave the schmaltzy branding behind. Oh, and about halfway through our meal.... the music came back up again... all the way.
