The interior has the beautiful ambiance of a high-end cigar lounge paired with an incredible bar. They have an enormous selection of great bourbons, whiskeys, and some truly phenomenal tequilas. There is also a great lounging area in the back with plenty of TVs--they had the March Madness games on while we were there, but I could easily see this being the go-to spot for Sunday football or just a place to relax any day of the week. We chose to sit outside, where the vibe felt like a perfect local hangout. We met some great people who mentioned they are regulars, which says a lot about the atmosphere. While we originally only planned to stop by for a drink or two before heading to dinner, we ended up staying much longer because we were having so much fun. A huge plus is their Happy Hour, which runs until 7 PM every day--at that point, why would we go anywhere else? I can't recall the bartenders' names, but they were all super friendly and accommodating. A few friends tried the specialty cocktails and said they were fantastic. We tried their feature shot per the bartenders recommendation, the "Hello Good Night." It was hands down the best shot I've ever had--I would honestly return just for that! They also had an extensive beer selection. I highly recommend this bar to anyone living in the area or just visiting. We will definitely be back!

I was completely sober because I don't drink, so I was fully aware of everything happening around us. The treatment we received was extremely unprofessional. At approximately 1:57 AM, we witnessed the bartender kissing a girl over the bar, and around 2:11 AM, they were still being very physical and all over each other while working. We also witnessed that same bartender taking sips from drinks using the straw method, which was concerning to see while drinks were being prepared and served. We were also told that every single person at the table had to order a drink or we would have to leave, even though the other five people in my party had already ordered. I don't drink alcohol, but I felt pressured into ordering something anyway because I didn't want to ruin my birthday celebration or my friends' experience. What made the situation even more disrespectful was when we simply asked for cups of ice water, and the bartender made a sly comment saying, "you guys are drunk." Asking for water should never result in a sarcastic or judgmental comment from a bartender. I especially found it inappropriate considering I was completely sober. The waiter's attitude was also rude and unwelcoming. For a place that automatically adds 22% gratuity, I would expect professional and respectful service. Instead, we felt pressured to spend money while receiving poor service and unnecessary comments from the staff. This was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration, but the way we were treated left a terrible impression. There are plenty of other speakeasies where customers can spend their money and actually feel welcomed and respected. After this experience, I would rather take my business somewhere else.

I did not expect the tacos to be so big. I also got this place mixed up with another place called the beach house so I was looking at the completely wrong menu! I took a pic for anyone looking and didn't feel like clicking 4x to get to it on their website. Back to the tacos -- the slaw was very juicy so don't forget to place your napkin! The mango salsa was not too sweet to overpower the rest of the taco and the beans and rice -- we were told was cooked in beef broth so it was very flavorful! It was way too much food to eat in one sitting (although I somehow managed to down 7/8 of that gelato it's a stomach mystery! The restaurant wasn't busy, yet our food took a while to come. The shrimp cocktail comes with 6 shimps. I was really disappointed with the ceviche. It had no flavor, and I had to ask for salt, pepper, and hot sauce just to give it some taste. The bowl was large, but the actual portion of ceviche was not. I definitely left still hungry. I will say, the location is beautiful. The restaurant sits right by the ocean, and there are areas with fireplaces that create a nice atmosphere. After eating, you can walk toward the pier, which is near the hotel. Since this was my first time in the area, I'm not sure what time it normally closes. Overall, I think the views and atmosphere are the best part, but the food definitely needs some improvement.

Outdoors, there's plenty of table space, a bar, and a stage for live music. It looked like it has been expanded since my first time there. I'm glad to see this restaurant doing well in Old Town Pompano. Our server was very friendly and assisted us with our questions about the menu. As we were there for brunch, we settled on fried green tomatoes Eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, and shrimp and grits. The fresh biscuits sounded so good that we ordered them. We should have asked for them to come out early, so we could enjoy them while we were waiting. However, we took them home and enjoyed them the next day. We also made the mistake of ordering a side of potatoes. That was definitely not necessary because two of the entrées came with potatoes, and we had more than plenty for the table. Again, something we enjoyed the next day. We were all impressed with what we ordered. Everything came out hot and cooked just as we had asked. My shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious. I also thought it was also nice that our server asked if we wanted to take our refilled drinks to go and prepared to go cups for us. This restaurant has been consistent for us, and I definitely plan to be back. Next time, I'd like to check out their live music scene and get a table outside when the weather gets a little cooler.

We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature.
