    Iced taro with brown sugar

Five stars for having a ramp on entry! Staff were nice and helpful. I first tried MOA from their Woodside location. Been meaning to checkout this original spot. They currently have a seasonal menu. I ordered an iced taro latte and a cheddar scone. The drink was refreshing during this summer heat! All pastries are from Balthazar Bakery. Sadly they do not have a toaster to heat up the scone so I waited until I got home to heat up and munch on.

Yato would give up not only his first but his second child for a cup of this heaven in a cup.

Yato is going to put you guys on. This spot is legit. Yato thinks all chais in Astoria suck. Rather drink gasoline from a rusted tin can then get another chai from Kinship or Brooklyn Bagel. (Yato didn't like the chais from those plans.) But Moa? God send. Angel made. I would offer my first child for a year supply of chais from here. Get it iced. Topped with the whipped and a shot of French vanilla and go to heaven with Yato baby. (Also, Yato only went here because of the name. There were some giant chickens in Halo Reach called Moa. Good times. Yato was a youngin on Xbox. Only reason I came here. Good choice.)

Draft Latte was amazing and the place was super nice. Would love to chill there one day!

A little disappointed at this new coffee spot that opened up on 30th Avenue for a number of reasons. Today was the first time I actually went inside and it was just to see if they had a blueberry muffin for my dog Penelope. Granted I should have opened the bag but if someone asks for a blueberry muffin, it SHOULD'T be a crumble blueberry muffin and even if you are located on 30th Avenue, $5.75 is A LOT for a muffin that honestly wasn't even moist. Sadly, I will not be trying this place again as the couple behind the register were not as nice or welcoming anyway ...

Cute little coffeeshop located on the eastern tip of Astoria. It is a coffeeshop on its own so there seemed to be a lot of regulars in the neighborhood coming in with their kids or dogs. The baristas were friendly behind the bar. A casual shop with limited seating and space. There weren't too many options for food/pastries as far as I saw, although there was a refrigerated section in front. Limited menu. I opted for an Americano which was great, not burnt and about right. No bathrooms as it's a small shop where you can hear everyone's conversations, so be aware if you need privacy. Overall, it is a nice cozy shop on the outskirts of the main roads. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Indoor dining and takeout available. Good for working with wifi and outlets. Limited seating. No bathroom. Drink up!

Pretty great cafe with limited seating and stable wifi. The barista here are so friendly and sweet!! I got the iced matcha oat and usually matcha in places that don't specialize in matcha aren't good, but this one was exceptional. Apparently they got taro lattes... which I need to try asap.

Great little coffee shop for a coffee break. Chill music. Service is nice. 5 Tables and little benches and seats by the window to work or have a coffee. So Convenient right on 30th Ave but away from the hustle, nice quiet place to stop in if you're in the 43rd St area.

Great on tap coffee that comes in three different versions. Various pastries and great service. I order the oatmilk coffee on tap, as he was pouring it he realized it was running out and offered to make me another drink no additional cost. So I got to take the on tap and caramel latte. Both were delicious but the latte is better with oat or almond milk imo. The space is a little small but has the perfect coffee shop vibes, nice and quiet.

Got a cold brew and oat milk iced latte for the first time. I really enjoyed my latte and the coffee wasn't too sour or too roasted. It was just right in my book. The barista was really friendly and I love their jokes on their front board by the door. I forgot to take a picture of the drinks but I'll do that and add it here next time I pass by, for now I'll just post the jokes, lol.

Very disappointing and expensive. We ordered an expresso gere, which was almost $9.00, and with little seating we left. We are not coming back

What a lovely coffee shop in Astoria. They serve La Colombe coffee and some pastries. I loved my cortado and the sticky pecan bun.

Amazing brown sugar shaken espresso! I love it. However, I can't recommend the flat white or simple Americano--very watery.

The Portuguese egg tart is what you would expect from one of these bakery's, very basic but it was nice and flaky. The milk tea was also okay, we asked for less sugar so it was not too sweet. We also got the sesame mochi to go and this was delicious! Definitely the best thing I bought from this bakery. The sesame paste was nice and strong but not too gritty and the mochi was super soft. I have to go back to grab another when I get the chance!

However, we opted for the Cheesecake, because we were able to add fresh strawberries (and whipped cream) on top! I'm not a fan of whipped cream, so I avoided that, but everyone seemed to enjoy. It had a good creamy texture and was not too sweet. The strawberries were indeed fresh. The pound cake was soft and airy. The vanilla flavor comes through. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. I've also tried their croissants, which are huge and delicious, and the hero bread is excellent too. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.I'll definitely be ordering all my cakes from here moving forward!

Their hot milk tea is a cozy, comforting drink that warms the soul. Fay Da's milk tea may still hold the title for my favorite, but Yi Mei's version is a very close contender. The sponge cake? A pleasant surprise. Despite some folks claiming the bread isn't fresh, I've never really had a negative experience with them. But then again, I only get the sponge cake and I can't differentiate fresh vs not fresh between them (I'll just assume that if it's NOT fresh, I would have been able to tell). For ethnic places like Yi Mei, I don't put much weight on service standards. Comparing them to American restaurants would be like comparing apples to oranges.
