Overbooked and overworked. Money hungry. Even when you have baller insurance it's not enough: find someone else. Too limited.

Great grocery store! I was visiting Moab to see arch's and canyon land National parks and needed…read moregroceries. When I stumbled upon this place, I wasn't sure how much they would have here or if they would have Gluten Free options, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. They actually have a lot of food and different brands as well as a LOT of gluten free options. This was amazing, as a lot of small business groceries stores don't have a lot of gluten free options, but they certainly did! The prices were also reasonable. Not cheap, but not to expensive. Good store to shop for groceries in Moab, Utah!

Usually, I go to Village Market for specific items. One of those items has been ice cream because…read morethe price was $4.99, considerably less than at City Market. Unfortunately, at some point in the past few weeks, the price of the ice cream I buy increased to $7.49. There may be a reasonable explanation for the $2.50 increase. However, the store provides no notice or certainly no explanation when an item's price rises that much in such a short period. In addition, the employees at the registers just stand there with blank looks on their faces unable to provide any information. I was certainly disappointed. Despite that disappointment, there are still reasons to recommend shopping there. If one is in a hurry to get in and out, Village Market isn't the rat race that City Market is. The store is exceptionally clean and free of obstacles in the aisles and open areas, unlike the clutter in that other store. The prices may be slightly higher, but the shopping experience can be much less anxiety-provoking than one would experience at the Kroger "family" store.

We drove up to Moab, Utah today to see the flooding devastation. As usual I stop in at the Moab…read moreDollar Tree and load up on some of the items for my puppy packs that I give out when a puppy leaves my care. Of course I add a lot more items from Walmart, pet stores and handmade things. The male cashier is scanning my items, beep, beep, beep etc. Rand: "Hey you scanned to many tennis balls!" Cashier: "I know what I'm doing!" Cashier gets to water and food bowls. Beep, beep, beep!!!! Forever. I had 16 and I'm counting 30 beeps and telling him to stop. He ignores me and keeps on going. I pay for the items and get a second cart and go through my receipt right there in front of the store. I count everything three times just to make sure. Fourteen overrings on food bowls and six overrings on tennis balls. That is a $25.00 overcharge. I wait until the line disappears and tell the kid. Rand: "Hey there is a problem you have over scanned me by $25.00 dollars, I need a refund!" Cashier: "Hold on I need to call the manager up front!" I explain it to the manager. Manager: "I am sorry our store policy is no refunds!" Rand: "I'm sorry, but this is an overcharge and I am getting my money back!" Manager: "We don't give refunds sir it is our store policy, you can get $25.00 of items!" Rand: "No ma'am, I'm not paying for something I don't want because your cashier made a mistake!!!" Manager: "I'll have to call the District Manager and it is Sunday and I don't want to bother her!" Rand: "Give me her number I'll bother her!" Manager: "I'll call and ask her!" Manager calls in front of me and of course the district manager tells her to give me my overcharge money back! I tell both the cashier and manager to pay attention to what their jobs are and ask them if they would like it if they went to McDonald's and was overcharged $25.00 and McDonald's told them to order $25.00 more in food. This poor, poor generation can't count money back let alone scan items properly and we want to pay them $21.00 an hour to be a cashier? No thanks. Now in my kids defense who are 27 and 31 and know very well how to count money and are very good at their jobs it isn't all, but it is a lot.

My only regret was that I did not purchase more when I was there! There are tons of products on the shelves and you will always find something you could use.
