Located on Mass Ave with rows of colorful flag banners outside, this poke spot is a welcome addition to the downtown. The inside is cute and cozy - with intimate, wood booths, a table in the middle of the room, and a bar table against a window, so you can work/eat while watching the outside action. The first time we came here, we didn't quite know how to order. You get a paper checklist that you fill out with all the ingredients you want. There were some things we checked on our list that weren't possible on the type of food we were ordering (sushi burrito), so had to edit it a few times. Sushi burrito: So delicious! I got zucchini noodles, chicken, veggies, mangos and a yummy sauce (I think it was peanut). There are tons of options for toppings, meats, and sauces - so there's something here for everyone. Bubble tea: There's a long menu! Again, we checked a few things that they said couldn't go together, but we eventually figured it out and got the lavender honey bubble tea. It was sweet and delicious! Pro tip- if you order the large, it comes in a cool "light bulb" glass. However, the one down side is that there's no recycling bin here, so it felt really wasteful to throw away such a cool cup. My daughters and I are loving this place for bubble tea and Instagramable photo opportunities in their booths. I haven't had a chance to try their food/bowls, but I've been here several times for bubble tea. My favorites are the honeydew and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with boba (a caffeine boost + real tapioca boba). The prices for bubble tea are reasonable (just under $5 for a large) and smoothies are $5.25. Lower than the other local competitors for just as good, if not better, bubble teas. There isn't a ton of seating, but I'd say there is enough space to seat around 25-35 people. 3 of the booths can seat up to 6 people each, there is a couch and window seating for about 4 persons, another booth that seats around 8 people, and a few hightops. The booths have USBs outlets that are easily accessible, making this a nice place to set up a laptop. This is my go-to delivery meal: healthy, fast, delicious. It's the perfect hangover food: lean protein, just enough salt in the sauces I choose, plenty of nourishing veggies. I always feel good after eating it, and the flavors meld beautifully in my mouth. They have a LOT of choice when it comes to ingredients, and everything is high-quality. There were around 4-5 tables, a couch and coffee table as well as a mini bar along the front windows looking out into Mass Ave. 2.) plenty of healthy ingredients to choose from to build your poke bowl or wrap. I opted for the bowl and filled it up with everything from pickled ginger and edamame to greens and wasabi. Our vegan friends were looking for a vegan milk tea, and this place popped up as an option. When I asked the young person taking our order they kept repeating "non-dairy creamer" as an option but couldn't give any specifics. They weren't able to even explain why the "non-dairy creamer" couldn't be used in specific teas. In the end, our friends just trusted the process and hoped for the best. Considering the location and convenience, its not bad for Mass Ave.... because the only remote comparison is 45 degrees and that place is absolute garbage. I wouldn't dare call the food good, but its not bad! Restaurant - Location is top notch, decor is cheesy but really cute. Layout is pretty awkward with a ton of dead space in the middle of the joint and a few booths on one side by the entrance. Its almost like they wanted to make this place a Tiki Bar in the evenings? I am probably one of the only Asians that owns a house within 2 blocks of this joint, so I REALLY wanted to love this place. Sadly, I will still have to drive to Sushi Boss to get my rolls! This Moar Tea & Poke DEFINITELY has potential. Comparing to the Poke place in the Indy Market, it's A LOT better in terms of quality of the toppings, service, and presentation. This restaurant just opened, and surprisingly they opened on thanksgiving day which made me really happy because no where else was opened. When I walked in the restaurant, it was very welcoming, new display, and very clean. At Moar Tea & Poke it's really unique; they have an "order form" where you can mark all the things you want in your bowl or burrito, then you pay at the front. The cashier will give the order form to the line cook and they'll make your order and call your name. This location also have Bubble Milk Tea; their Tea is more authentic than Chatime so it's more on the Tea flavor side. There drink menu has a lot of options and you can choose your ice + sugar level (very convenient). There are A LOT OF seating for college kids, families, or basically anyone to hangout and chill in this facility. This location's dining area is "Instagram" picture worthy. They have little games such as uno and jenga for you to play while waiting for your food. They have USB ports do you can charge your phones! I would definitely highly recommend checking this location out because their food is presentable, their service is friendly, and it's a new location! The cons that Moar Tea & Poke can work on is that they should have more protein options and bigger scoops; I paid $12 for 3 proteins in my bowl and it felt like I got ripped off, but the quality was good so it wasn't too bad (it's a meal portion for sure). The milk tea can be a little better in terms of more creamier; it felt like the tea was a little bit watered down, but luckily the boba (pearls) were really sweet which was perfect. AAAAH! I am so happy there is a boba place downtown now! I ordered the Oolong milk tea with boba, hot, half sugar. It is my favorite for cold winter days and it does not disappoint! Coming from the east coast, this isn't the best boba I've had BUT considering it's Indy, it's the best you'll get. The interior decor is super cute, wood everything. There's USB charging ports everywhere so you can come and study, play games with friends. They also sell poke bowls which I will definitely have to come back and try! One of my friends I was with recommended that we stop in here while we were on Mass Ave. Immediately when we walked in the restaurant was filled with Christmas decorations and music. I loved the energy that the place brought and you could tell that it was a very relaxed environment. I love poke bowls and was very tempted to get one, but instead opted for a mango pineapple smoothie. The menu and ordering style was very quick and easy. The wait for it seemed a little long, but it was worth it. I was not too sure what to expect but the smoothie was great! There was lychee jelly at the bottom of my smoothie which added something extra to it. Looking at everyone else in the restaurant it was cool to hear how prior to Covid customers were able to play board games at their tables. What a fun little spot to duck into while the Indianapolis weather got a bit too cold, wet, and nippy for our groups liking. We ducked in for some hot tea/coffee and discovered a wonderful world of gorgeously decorated decor, delicious hot teas, and scrumptious food. This is an order at the register and pick up at the end of the counter type of restaurant. They provide you with a buzzer which very insistently goes off when the food is ready for pick-up. The ordering style is very interesting also, in that there are papers provided at a central table which you fill out based on what you would like in your poke bowl. When you pick-up your poke bowl, your order slip is returned to you for your verification purposes. It's actually really cool! I love being able to see and debate all my options in the comfort of a private space instead of feeling rushed while at the register. This gem is also accompanied by different family-friendly games to play during your meal. They had at the table a deck of UNO Cards and a Box of Jenga. My brother and I had hours of entertainment before we realized there were more games in the back corner! We grabbed connect 6 from back there and enjoyed another half hour of quality family time.
