I broke my tire on the Jamaica Way, and needed a replacement. The good people here took my car and within 24 hours had a brand new tire. The price was fair and the service was excellent. The attendant broke the door covering my gas cap and told me it was "rusted" and that's why it won't open or close properly anymore. This never happened before, but after the attendant forcibly yanked open the piece to my car, suddenly it's "a rust problem" Update: the owner took pictures of my car for some reason after I forcibly had to shut the cover because it no longer properly opens or closes, making it look like nothing happened. read more

Performed really careless brake jobs on two separate occasions. I only got 3,000 miles out of my front brakes and 10,000 miles out of my rear brakes before they wore down (you are supposed to get 30,000 miles out of a brake job). My front brakes were still under their one-year warranty so replaced for free but rear brakes were outside the warranty. Any conversations as to why my brakes were going bad so quickly felt hostile ("we only use good parts here, maybe it's the way you drive") and lacked any detail/explanation. They didn't even bother looking into the root cause. Not trusting them, I took my car to a different garage for a second opinion and new rear brakes. When that garage took apart the braking system, they said it the issue was a poor brake job -- pads/rotors were just slapped on with zero cleaning/lubrication. Shameful. read more

What a way to run a business. Went for a sticker today and was told to park and wait. So 30 minutes later a gentleman walks up to my car and said " what r u waiting for" as if I didn't exist. They then took two people in front of me. Sill waiting 45 minutes later as they took my registration. Stay away from this place, it's so busy, that they are end up being truly clueless. I was headed to Martha's Vineyard and getting a late start. When I turned on my car, the low tire indicator was on for my front right tire. I drove over to Elias Audy's Mobile station on the corner of Cypress and Route 9. Even though both service bays were occupied, they were able to help me by pulling over to the side of the of the driveway and looking at my car there. I had a large screw in my tire which they removed and plugged, all in about 15 minutes and for only $20, and I was on my way! Amazing service and such kindness! read more

And the mechanics have talked me out of spending unnecessary money. You can't beat that. I also noticed that staff turnover is low, which indicates that the employees are treated well. I've always had a good experience from Audy's Mobil - they provide quality auto service and I trust them to help me make the right decisions about the maintenance necessary for my vehicle and me personally. They have done small things for me to help me out at no charge, and they are a family run business. Mistakes happen, other reviewer's negative experience being a distressing example, but the folks at Audy have their customers' best interests at heart and will go the extra mile. They also have a great detailing service. As far as gas prices go, the gas prices are dictated by Mobil to the local distributors so Audy doesn't have too much control over them. read more

Went for my inspection this morning, was told on the phone that since it is the last day for inspections in the month the wait can be 20-30 minutes but the inspection itself will take about 10. I pulled up, gave my registration over, waited about 15 minutes, they took my car in and 11 minutes later it was all set. During oil changes, they check tire pressure and top off fluids. They've done brake replacements and, prices are fair on quality tires and batteries. It's free at the air pump if you buy gas. Do not go here ever! Sold me 2 defective tires. Got the first one replaced and when the second one had the exact same issue they denied that they put the tire on, and I had the invoice. The guy kept insisting he was the professional and that the tire with this issue was not installed there. He didn't want to be held liable for a screw up on their part. These guys did an excellent job on my Mini Cooper. Not only that, the costs were absolutely spot on for parts and labor. Anyone who owns a Mini Cooper knows these are not easy cars to work on, and no matter where you go to the labor is expensive because the design often requires the entire front of the car to be removed for some repairs that wouldn't normally require this. Issue # 1: Radiator fan assembly replacement. Issue # 2: Various lights on dashboard stuck on; temp. guage and speedometer freaking out. Issue # 3: Car needed inspection but couldn't pass do to issues 1 and 2. Issue #4: Oil / filter change (at my request.) Total cost for ALL issues listed above approximately $750. Car ready the next day. RADIATOR FAN ASSEMBLY: The market rate for parts and repair for the radiator assembly can go as high as $650. (Add $40 for tax in MA, totaling $690.) Add another $35 for Inspection, plus some additional light time/labor for it to pass inspection. (Per the inspection report, the car failed the first attempt due to the cause of issue 2.) ISSUE 2, DASH LIGHTS & SENSORS: Two fuses were blown, the car wouldn't pass emissions on the 1st attempt. (Inspection report details this clearly as it should). The car passed everything but emissions on the 1st attempt. After the fuses were checked and replaced it passed on the 2nd attempt. After speaking with the owner he explained the issue in more detail. Although the car passed and was behaving fine he stated he thought there may be a bigger issue, and I should keep my eye on the lights. (more on this below). Oil and filter replacement were annual maintenance done at my request. All in all I got my radiator assembly replaced, had the car inspected, had the oil and filter changed, had some fuses replaced, and got a diagnosis about what to keep an eye on down the road (even though they can't do the repair; i.e. have nothing to gain by giving me a heads up). Grand total about $750 w/ tax. This place is solid... CAR RE-SERVICED FOR FREE, (Issue 2): Issue 2 returned two weeks later. This was no real surprise to me since the owner said there may be a bigger issue and the meters freaking out seemed like something bigger than just a few fuses... The diagnosis is corrosion from the battery on one of the computer's connections, with the computer potentially needing replacement down the road. They removed the corrosion for the time being and said it might resolve the issue longterm, it might not. (Not surprised at all. Electrical Issues like this aren't predictable...) Why am I not phased by this? 1. The car's 13 years old. 2. Computer replacement is an issue only a dealership can do, since it involves reprogramming the car's computer. The point is is that it's running great now and they didn't charge me. Not only that, I didn't bicker or ask them not to charge me, they didn't charge me because they did what any decent garage would do... Stand behind their work, and give you a heads up despite it being an issue they can't make a dime off of (i.e. the dealership..) Again, AFAIC this place is absolutely SOLID. This is Yelp afterall though. So I want to weigh in and set the record straight based on my experience. Any place that stands behind their work, and gives you a heads up diagnosis even when they can't bill you for it, should be a strong indication that the place actually does solid work.. Hopefully, someone reading this won't be put off by Audys just because of a few miserable complaints that aren't based in reality. read more

I took my 4-day-old car here for inspection and when they pulled it out of the garage there was two scratches on the driver door. I noticed it right away because I had literally just bought the car and it was scratch free. When I confronted them about it, they told me to "prove it was them" and told me "that's what I get for buying a used car" (it's a used 2017 Audi Q5). They had multiple guys come out and confront me, telling me I had to go deal with the dealership. They were very rude and would not accept responsibility for something that was clearly their fault. I have used Audy's for over 20 years. When I brought in my car for regular maintenance last week, I showed Elias Audy the duct taped front left wheel area, where a minor run-in with a parking lot column and resulted in a sizable dent, growing area of rust, and broken inside hard plastic cover that screeched against my wheel on any bounce in the road (lots of those this year!). I had tried to fix it myself because I wasn't interested in paying $$$ to a body shop to fix a 10-year-old Prius. Elias mentioned that he had a guy who can do minor repairs, but was off that day. So I took it iin yesterday, and also asked him to fix a large dent in the back bumper (courtesy of my husband in that case). It looks beautiful!!--banged out, repainted, and cover fixed, back dent completely gone. For...$216.00 Really!! Beside this miracle, I'll put a word in here for Elias Audy as a pillar of the community, running exactly the kind of friendly, dependable trustworthy local business we should all be using at every opportunity. read more

So I took my car to this place last week to get inspected. My headlight was out and the check engine light was on. I asked them to fix the check engine light issue, replace the headlight, and inspect the car. I got a call later that day saying my car was ready, but I couldn't come in so I picked it up the next day. When I came in, they tried to charge me $250 to fix a thermostat, they had not replaced the headlight, and they had not conducted the inspection. I paid them because I agreed to the repair, though a new thermostat is about $30 and takes about 30 minutes to install (at their $90 per hour rate, that should have been somewhere around $80). It was 8 pm at night, so I couldn't get my car inspected that day. I returned a week later to get my car inspected and was told that their machine was "down" and that they were likely down "throughout the state." I proceeded to get the run-around between three people, none of whom were willing to answer my question of whether I could leave my car to get inspected. They were extremely rude, didn't care they hadn't performed the work we agreed to, and could not care less about the fact I needed an inspection. The longer our conversation went on, the more hostile they became. Even the cashier started just repeating to me that the machine was "down." I brought it to another place near my house and received prompt and friendly service. This place is a dumpster fire full of disrespectful, borderline incompetent mechanics. Gas is overpriced (yes, it's at a busy corner for "convenience", but still) but the worst crime is this: several years back, I went for an oil change. When the guy finished, he didn't close the hood of my car the entire way. I was headed to to the Mass Pike, and when I got in the left lane at about 60mph, my hood flew open, smashed the windshield, and I couldn't see a thing as I was driving at 60mph, and needed to quickly get over 3 lanes to pull over. I have been driving for 24 years, and that was the most terrifying thing ever. My car was in the repair shop for way more than just the smashed windshield for 3 weeks. I could have been killed, and killed others as well. Yes, Audy's Mobil paid for my rental car and I screamed for quite a bit when I called, but don't bother with the cheap oil change. To this day, I check to make sure the hood is closed securely when anyone works on my car. read more

I having been going there for years (for auto repairs) and I have found the staff to be very helpful and they have saved me alot of money over the years. Having an older car it is easy to find a lot of this not right but they have also worked on the car to keep it going saving the "not really needed stuff" for down the road when I have some extra cash. i used them twice-the car was brought there when it broke down and they were helpful and repaired it for a little less than the dealer. When my AC was failing, I took it to them and they put in a new AC - very expensive fix but again a little less than dealer price. But when my AC broke down in NY about 3 months later, they were pretty rude about me bringing it back and made no effort to see the car quickly. They repaired it and said a loose wire and no charge. But they were rude about me wanting to bring it back in and also never even acknowledged that the loose wire was clearly their fault (and I had driven up the coast and around for days in the heat). I'm not completely dissatisfied with the station, the service is friendly and it's open pretty much all night. However, recently I brought my car in for its State Inspection and they had to fail it because of my after-market window tint (which was still legal when I bought the car in Arizona, but too dark for Massachusetts). I understood the logic, and they offered to remove all of the tint for $150. Not knowing the going rate for such things, I took my car in for a second opinion to Shimon's service station in Coolidge Corner and while they agreed that my current tint could not be passed, they actually researched the regs while I was there and it turns out that I only needed the tint taken off of 2 of my windows and not all 6. Audy's readiness to charge me for unnecessary work is the reason for the low review, and I will never go to them again. Some solid advice before going to them is to do some research on what you have to have done. A good mechanic is one you never have to worry about nickel-and-diming you, and unfortunately I can't trust them anymore. read more

This morning my car wouldn't start. Turns out it was the battery. Audys not only checked my battery for free they also filled my tires. They told me my battery was almost to the four year mark and I should replace it before winter and that was probably the cause of the problem. I am definitely willing to go back here and will be next month to get my battery replaced. My old car had some big problems, and triple A towed it to Audy's because they were the closest approved shop from where it died (in traffic, on Allston Christmas, but that's another story). I'm really glad they did. Elias was knowledgeable, experienced, honest and really, really kind to me. He actively tried to save me money, told me what repairs were essential and which things I could wait on and wouldnt let me pay him for the time he spent diagnosing the problems, even though he spent a lot of time figuring it out, and i tried hard to fight him on it. I trusted him, and that's not always easy to find, especially when you're a woman like me who doesnt know more than the very basics about cars. They strip your pockets and not once has anything been done right. now that the car has 56, 000 miles all the shoddy work is coming to light. Lame. I brought my car in for an inspection, and a taillight bulb was out. They charged me $15 for the bulb and installation, whatever, fine. I could install the $2 bulb myself but let's get this crap over with. They fixed the taillight, but in the apparently hamfisted process they broke my turn signal bulb in the same cluster. I actually don't have any left turns on my way to or from work, so it took a couple of days to discover their preposterous lameness. The bulb will cost $2 and is easy to replace, whatever, but it is super freaking lame that I PAID to attain this deficient condition, for their incompetent monkey to blatantly screw up my car into a non-compliant condition and then issue me a blatantly illegal inspection sticker. Went in for some minor repairs and an inspection. The guys were not only very friendly, but were quick to get the job done once they diagnosed. They let me keep my car there to prevent me getting tickets for no extra charge and did everything they could to help me pass inspection and repair my horn and side mirror and headlight as cheap and easy as possible.
