Open 24 hours a day so I pulled in on my way for coffee. Their gas prices are the lowest in the area. I would recommend.

I came to get gas this afternoon and no one was visible in the office. I waited about 5 minutes, thinking maybe someone was in the bathroom, etc. Then I decided to hop out and get it myself. A staff member came barreling out of the office telling me to get away from the pump because it's full service. I explained why I had hopped out to do it myself. Note that this staff member has seen me many, many times. When he had filled the tank I said as politely as I could that this was an honest mistake but that he had sounded like he was scolding me, etc. He became even more rude and defensive, telling me not to talk to him and that this was his business, etc. It's unfortunate that after more than a decade of my spending money there he chose to behave this way and to lose a loyal customer by raising his voice and being so discourteous.

Please don't stop for this location for service or even get gas…read more I got a groupon coupon for 4 wheel alignment with appointment. The service guy or manager or owner who came after I arrived with her girlfriend told me that it was just for front tires. I wanted to show him that coupon. After he said if you back side has another problem we are not going to touch it without look my car. He did not check my car back tires and he said he will do just front. I did not accept it and left the store. He was so rude and looks like he was in rush. His girlfriend was waiting him at the car. After I left they left too. He doesn't want to work on my car clearly because her girlfriend was waiting him. This is not business. I complain them to Groupon. We will see how they resolve it. But definitely I will not come this location for alignment. Update 08/03/2024 First as a business owner you should take care of your sold coupons. You can not tell lies to costumers like "Coupons for just for 2 tires or we can not do back tires because of issues on your back tires etc. I got another coupon from Midas they did my job perfectly without any problem. Check Midas Coupon on Groupon which I got after your worse approach. Would you like to see how the business should be? I got 5 star job from them next day. Second you keep continue to FRAUD people with your fake Groupon coupons even you said you stopped with Groupon. You wrote you are not taking Groupon anymore on Google review but I took some pictures and shared in Goole Review. Please stop saying lies to people. Third do you think some people works with hourly rate and they don't get paid if they don't work? Even Groupon refund it, that people still loose their time and effort to be there trusting you coupons. Also they can loose their jobs because they need to go for service another work day. Stay away from this place. Also I will write a complain letter to Shell.

Nicks Service Station - Oil drain on the highway after oil change at Nick's

This place is awesome. Period…read more My dad is the one who taught me about maintaining a car... and I've ignored his teachings on many occasions! Most of the time, the cars that I've owned have been towed away with my tears covering them, all because I didn't do something very simple about preventative maintenance. The worst was a Delta 88 that I tried to start with an empty oil pan one very VERY cold morning back in '93. Not only did I try and start it, once it turned over I gunned the gas to get it warm... and watched in horror as a rod made a little mound in my hood. Needless to say, that one was towed away later that day. So when I started hearing my passenger side rear brake scraping metal to metal, I started making plans to repair it as soon as possible. I called around trying to get a sense of the pricing and times available for this work. My girlfriend was giving me a ride home one night, and we happened to stop into Nick's. So lo-tech, this place seemed like a bad dream of a truck-stop out somewhere in the wilds of New Jersey. But I did notice that the place is full-service, and had a sign on the pole which said "brakes," which of course were MAGIC WORDS at that time. I checked with one of the guys working there, a great person named Mickey, and he let me know that he could indeed take care of my '98 Mazda Millenia (which is the second best car I've ever owned -- the first being a 2000 Subaru Forrester, which my ex-wife took with her). I won't tell you the price, but let it be known that it was super reasonable, especially compared to the other repair shops in the area. We left with his card. I went all Terminator. So, a coupla weeks later I woke up early on a Sat and started thinking about what needed to be done, and remembered that the car still was making that sound and since I hadn't driven it in a while, I should prolly check it out. Yep, scraping sound, check. Looked for the card, no dice. Checked the internet, ran across this site during a Google search, and found his entry no problem. So I called Nick's, and when Mickey answered, he told me that I could bring it on down, and if I could get there within an hour or hour and a half, they could take care of it. I got there at 10:30, and my car went up on the lift immediately. And what do you know -- the person who worked on my car was the Nick! He was not only very nice, he took the time to show me all the things that he noted about my car with his years of experience, as did Mickey. From what I had gotten from my father, and what they told me, I was reassured that I had come to the right place. I sat in the office while Nick worked on the brakes. I sat with my iPod on, toned out in iPod iNduced bliss, when I began to notice that almost everyone that came into the office spent more than a few minutes talking with Nick or Mickey or Karim (who was pumping gas), and that they seemed pretty happy to be there... and I realized so was I. To make a long story a little shorter, I now have a new mechanic -- Nick's my guy. And when I got my car back, after Mickey road-tested it, he was also able to track down the short that had been keeping my cigarette lighter from working and fix it. Everyone had not a smile, but a genuine look of interest and friendliness to them, and did excellent work. I cannot recommend this service station highly enough. VIsit there and you will see. PS: If you've got a dog, you might be able to get the pooch a treat -- they keep doggie bisquits under the main counter! PPS: And BTW, the price for pads, rotors and service was under $400. I won't say how far under, but you can buy a bottle of Dom with the savings...

I typically don't write reviews for stuff other than restaurants. When I do, it's either because…read morethe service was absolutely wonderful or absolutely terrible. In this case, it's because it was absolutely terrible. Upon pulling up, the gas station attendant was extremely rude. He also told me to "get out of the way" if I wanted gas. What's worse is that after the fuel pump had automatically shut off, he repeatedly kept forcing more fuel into the tank. He did this several times and only stopped when I forcefully told him "that's enough gas." Continuing to pump gas after the nozzle has disengaged is an extremely bad practice as it can damage the emission control system, which is a very costly repair. It's obvious that the attendant doesn't care about the customer and instead is more concerned about making an extra buck.

Sat down in the office and waited per usual. I had a pleasant conversation with a few other patrons. the snarly, looking obese white man that was sitting at the chair watching the news, of course fox 25 was on blast in the office. he was called back to converse about my inspection. He came back with an unwarranted attitude and said "your gonna fail you need tires". "the guy in the back said I needed to come tell you because he didn't want you to give him an attitude". After making comment about how much tires would cost me, the obese white man from the front then said I had a poor attitude and began to go back and forth with me like a child. I explained I had been coming there over 30 years even with my parents and that they would no longer receive my business and I haven't been back since. Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior from the front desk guy. Very disappointed I had to find a new shop. Luckily there are other options closer to home For me. Also side note I got my inspection the same day different shop no new tires.
