The gas station's fraud won't start until after your second oil change. They use a cheap oil change as their ploy. This firm consistently discovered costly issues that needed to be made after my first oil change. I might have died from the last one. The joint holding my car's front tire was replaced as the most recent repair. They could have killed me and replaced it with a very costly, subpar part. View the photo that is attached. After roughly 18 months, the replaced part snapped in two. The dealership's real part and labor cost was lower than that of Mass Ave Sunoco's part alone. I have to give a big shout-out to Frankie at Mass Ave Sunoco. Not only did they do a great job at a reasonable price, but when things weren't exactly right the first time they took care of my issues and even fixed some other problems without charging me anything additional. I have a relatively old Toyota Highlander, and it was in need of a fair amount of work, and Frank diagnosed a problem that a number of other shops (including a Toyota dealer) did not "catch"......because all the other shops were looking for a "code" and this problem did not generate one. Frank also had to do a number of other things to that car that turned up in the course of the repair.....and yet he stuck by his original estimate and didn't charge me a cent more! Now my car drives better than it has in the last four or five years. Since it still looks pretty good, I am going to hang onto it. As a previous reviewer said, Frankie is really good about communication, gives reasonable prices, and cares deeply about building long term relationships. I stopped at this location a few days ago to get a flat tire checked out. Initially they were very helpful and able to put my spare on so I could drive the hour back closer to my house to get new tires put on. I eventually discovered one of the lug nuts on the spare was put on incorrectly causing it to become stuck and unable to be taken off without cutting the stud. I found a place to fix the stud and replace the lug nut but they recommended calling the shop to see if I could be reimbursed as this is a typical thing that happens. The "owner" (not sure if he was actually) was beyond rude to me. Instead of just simply saying sorry we cannot reimburse he gaslit me into thinking I must have done this myself and I could come and watch the cameras at the shop if I wanted to. Eventually he told me it was my own fault for buying a "sh*t subaru who makes sh*t parts." he SCREAMED at me on the phone for accusing him of this and told me he would give me $4 for the part (it cost me $100 to fix including labor) He also told me every other mechanic I went to must have been a dumb*ss high schooler because there was no way it didnt come off. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. read more

Frank at Mass ave Sunoco is the main mechanic guy to go to in the Arlington area. I brought in my vintage 2006 Saab for some heating issue where everybody else kept on telling me it's a head gasket issue. But Frank was able to confirm for me that the head gasket is completely fine and four months later with a $200 fix I'm still driving it with this hot weather and now ready for the winter I cannot be more satisfied. Frank was able to explain with full knowledge of what's really is happening and what's the best way to fix it. I had some brake pads that needed to be fixed so I stopped by to get them done. PROS: - did it for me ridiculously fast - Owner is very friendly - Cheapest labor costs I know in the area CONS: - did it fast, but made me realize auto repair places are charging hourly rates for a job that only takes 20minutes! - Sold me some rear brake pads marked up by 50%. Since I moved to Arlington this has been my go-to car servicing location. Run by hard working lebanese men I can rely on them for cheap oil changes ($25) and any of the many fixes my old car requires. They get parts quickly and affordably and don't overcharge on labor. They also have reasonably priced full service gas. The only reason I give them 4/5 rather than 5/5 is that there is one problem with my car they haven't been able to fix because my car doesn't generate codes. I need to find one of those dying breed old wizened mechanics for that. read more

This used to be my go to shop but the service guy who fixed my car last year and whom I had a good relation with has been replaced by a couple of guys who don't give a hoot about past loyal customers (I don't care if you used to come here often was the response from one of these guys) I recently did repairs with these guys and had the most horrific car repair experience in my life. When I asked if the car was fixed the answer I got was "I hope so" and the car died in the middle of the road! After a lot of heartburn and costly repairs/labor my car is still not fixed as of today and I have decided to go to a different shop. Overall pricey labor, lot of markup on parts and unfriendly service. (he didn't like the fact that I got my own part and accused me of going behind his back) Will never even fill gas in this station even though its close to my house forget about doing repairs! read more

I went to these guys because I needed some work done on my Rav4 that had reached the 60,000 mi mark. They do advertise a $19.99 oil change that ends up costing $25.00, not sure why. But all the other work they did was excellent and, based on my shopping around, at competitive prices. E.g., New battery: $140 (incl. disposal) New tires: $110/tire (Dunlaps); $10/tire mounting; $95.00 alignment. New brakes: $584 for all four. The owners are very friendly, they keep in touch as they're working, and they deliver in the time they say they will. Be sure to get a written estimate, since the prices they quote verbally tend not to include things like disposal and "shop supplies". read more

This place is a scam. They performed improper diagnostics on the car and I ended up doing my own research and finding out what was actually wrong. By that time the guy had already put in the new part and with tried to convince me that I needed this part. In the end I ended up paying for the repair because I just wanted to be done with it and they clearly needed the money more than I did. Only went here because it was very close to my house. First expericene was not bad. friendly and explained repairs, seemed reasonably priced, I thought. Well after a few months, I had to have break pads replaced(under warrenty). then he did a transmission that seemed to take for ever and waiting for an insurance adjuster. 8 months later I mention an oil leak twice to him and was told nothing was leaking. two months later my engine seized. then wheel bearings and axel were replaced(again under warrenty). problem was not solved and had them redue it and he insisted that was not the problem. Another mechnic said it was. Well last issue was a week ago, replaced axel and wheel bearing and a day later there was damage to the Transmisson fluid seal.(which was 100% percent caused by his replacement of the axel) This really was a issue and he refused to take owner ship. this was hack job!!!!!!
