I use GasBuddy to check which gas stations around my area are cheap, and this place always pops up. I pay with credit card (cash back yo!) so I rarely have to go inside to see the employee. The only time I would be in there is if the machine doesn't spit out my receipt that I just stuff in the side of my car with all the other receipts, or if I want to test my luck and buy a scratcher. I haven't had a bad experience with the employees here yet (knock on wood) so this place is good to me. Pump your gas and go. read more

I went in to get a Diet Coke. I took the cup and sipped it. The girl working said get your drink and go. I told her I sip cause sometimes the syrup is off. I was there 2 seconds. And choose another drink. When I went up to pay I asked her if ppl loiter? She said no but usually ppl get the drink and go. She pretty much accused me of stealing? Idk. Car wash scratched and left quarter size dimple on rear passenger side of my minivan from sliding door to rear quarter panel. The door to the control panel flew open during air dry. Quickly drove out early before that door passed again to prevent further damage. Alarm of car wash went off, and clerk came out to inspect. She said it'll buffer out, and only offered to refund the money and give another free wash. It didn't buffer out. Appropriate compensation would've been to pay for professional detailing for the damaged area. Just a heads up to what to expect from their level of customer service. I went here for a car wash because it was super dirty. I usually don't do automated car washes because they do a really horrible job. I wanted something quick, so I really didn't mind. I proceeded to put in my money, when it rejected my $5 bill. I was there for a minute and it kept doing it. They have this useless button on the machine, which I suppose was for an attendant, but that lousy thing didn't even work! So, I ran inside, because I wanted to get change for my $5. I told the attendant, and it seemed like he didn't even understand what I was saying. Ugh, at this point I was so frustrated. So he gives me change in quarters!! Ugh, so I had to wait at the machine and put in all those damn quarters in...and finally, I went in...but was it over, no... So I went inside and stopped, but the car wash contraption didn't even turn on. So I went forward, and nothing. Next thing you know, the attendant comes, and starts yelling at me! What the hell man, what kind of service is this. He kept saying I don't know anything and I broke the machine. I have never been so disrepected. I seriously wanted to get my refund and leave, but he told me to back up. He supposedly reset it and had to get a code so I could get my car wash. Overall, I am never coming to this car wash again. I like this gas station and I've never been given a bad time by the attendant or the auto car wash. I prefer Mobil and Chevron now-a-days in my car. According to one mechanic cheaper gas burns out catalytic converters. That being said I don't mind paying a few cents more for gas. I liked using the quick wash as it's only about $5 to get the mud off the outside of my car. I DO NOT like visiting a relative or friends and parking my filthy bucket out front. The attendants have always been very nice, but maybe its because I actually smile at THEM and say hello back when they say something to me. Kind of a reap what you sow type of deal. read more

The prices are average. Off brand and Costco both have better pricing. This gas station is right on the corner so it's very convenient and no long lines. I come here every once in awhile when I don't want to wait in the Costco lines for 30 minutes just to get gas. I haven't tried the carwash in a very long time so I can't rate on that. NE corner of Chapman and Brookhurst 3.5 as I am almost a fan, but not quite My main complaint with this place seems to parallel that of other reviewers and that is the Car Wash here! First there was a couple of weeks where it didn't work at all and was taped off, then they got it working, but it could only provide the top wash no matter what type of wash you asked for or paid for which was actually kind of nice. They have some new parts to the machine (like the pay station,) but there are two issues here. Even if you purchase the top wash the voice will tell you that you are receiving the middle ("Deluxe") wash... this makes sense considering the wash I received. I don't remember the Rainbow Wash portion that was supposed to be included with the top wash and it no longer dries as well as it used to which was never that great, but still better than now. Before there was a brush that would come down and insure a better job drying when you purchase the top wash, but it no longer comes down and after pulling out of the machine one will find the vehicle to still needs to be dried... especially on the right side, the front, and the rear. It is times like those I am glad that I keep a large towel in my trunk. Gas prices are what you'd expect. While certainly not as low as the off brands; they are not as high as like South OC, SD County, or LA County. The people working here have always been nice so I guess I should consider myself lucky in that respect. Their Mini Mart has always been well stocked with snacks and drinks. I especially loved that after almost 10 years their 32 oz. Fountain Drinks remained a subterraneanly low $0.62. I also share a mild aversion to the Canned Car Wax Guys. They are there randomly and hit you up to buy even if your vehicle is shiny and new. read more

I took my car for a car wash, & after the machine coated my car with soap, it stopped working. I didn't want to get out of the car since it was covered in soap, so I called the attendant who told me that I needed to come in and bring in my receipt. I got out of my car, which of course got me soapy & wet, then I went in to talk to the attendant & he told me that I "broke" his machine by leaving my car in neutral. I politely corrected him by telling him that I put my car in park. He repeated "you broke my machine" in an annoyed tone, & told me to meet him outside. About 10 mins later, he had me go through the machine again & it stopped midsoap. I called him to tell him it had happened again & he said rather angrily, "come get your money!". I got out of my soapy car & got my money back. He finally apologized, because he realized that the machine had malfunctioned. What a cranky man. The whole ordeal took about 20 mins of my life. He didn't even offer me a free car wash. He was extremely rude, and I was very upset leaving this place with my soapy car. Absolutely horrible! Short and dark skinned cashier who is either Indian, middle eastern, or African will steal you cash. I am not sure what country he is from, but he is a foreigner. July 9, 2014 morning I came there to buy gas. I gave him $46 (two $20 and six $1 bills). I laid them on the counter top and counted in front of him. I repeated because I knew cashiers from gas stations tend to cheat. He agreed on the price. I left to pump gas. When I came back for my change, he said that I only gave him $45. I told him: "I knew this was going to happen and that was why I counted my money in front of you. You noticed your head and agreed the right amount earlier, why didn't you tell me earlier and waited until I came back to say a different amount?" He said, "I wouldn't cheat." I went to my car to get a piece of paper and pen. Came back and asked for his name and store number. He refused to tell me and just asked, "Why?" I told him "because I don't like to be cheated. $1 is nothing but, you can not steal money from me." He denied it and went to serve another customer. I told him, "I can easily look up your store number and I will report this to corporate.". And I walked to my car. At that moment, he rushed to the door and asked me to come back. Gas prices are pretty good here. My complaint is for the air compressor. $1.00 to use which is fine. What's not ok is the time allotment...only about 90-120 seconds. I only had time to use on three tires and that barely filled those up to the correct psi. Not sure why this Mobil is rated so low. As long as I've been alive, this Mobil has had the cheapest gas prices around. Sometimes it's only a few cents more than Costco (great if you don't have enough time to wait in those long lines!). They currently offer cheaper rates if you pay with cash or debit. So I'm bad about washing my car. My BF jokes that I have a brown car rather than a black car, that's how bad I am. Any who, I bought one of the car wash packages, drove up to the car wash and entered in the code. As I am told to proceed, to my horror my window wouldn't roll up!!! The fuse must have gone out (that's the diagnosis given to me by the BF). After desperately fighting the window for a good 2-3 minutes, another car pulled up behind my car to use the car wash. Embarrassed and frustrated I backed my car out of the line of cars that was forming and went into the store part of the gas station and told the attendant, Sylvia, my story. She was so sweet, she gave me another code :) She made my day! Sure, occasionally you get the sales person pushing his/her special canister of car cleaning magic, but you get those at almost every gas station. Do not use car wash!!!!!!!! Waste of time and money. Only thing it removes is the dust, then leaves you drying almost the entire car off yourself. The blowers are no better then a fan. Although it's advertised that debit is the same price as cash, whenever one is paying at the pump any card transaction will be generated as a credit transaction giving one the credit price which is $.10 more than cash price. This place needs to either not advertise debit prices same as cash or reconfigure their pump payment process. read more
