I stopped by this Arco around 5:00 PM today and had an interaction that honestly left me more confused than anything. I frequently visit gas stations for small tasks like this, and in my experience, most are happy to help as a courtesy. Even when they can't, they usually just say so politely and I'm on my way. However, the gentleman working today (Asian male, approx. 50s) handled a simple request with a very condescending attitude. Instead of a professional "no," he gave me a humiliating smile and mocked me, saying I was at the "wrong store" and this "isn't a Bank of America." It was a very disappointing "bully" moment from an older professional toward a younger customer. A simple "sorry, we can't do that" would have been perfectly fine, but the choice to be disrespectful was completely unnecessary. Whether this is an employee or the owner, it's a poor reflection on the Arco brand. I'll be stickng to the many other local stations that still prioritize basic courtesy. read more

I had $9 carwash 7/7/25, so much spots/dirt left so I wiped down the car. Noticed this big scratch and minor ones all around the car. I called and talked to an older lady, said manager will be in the Morning. I drove back next morning, said he's not in again. Not going to waste gas :( read more

I came by today for a car wash, the cashier seemed nice, however when I tried to use my card it was declined (I'm sure it was the system because I used it at another gas station right after and it went through: same pin and such). The guy's attitude suddenly changed and he changed the way he acted towards me and told me to try again, I tried tapping and it asked me for an ID number, he then said to enter your pin. I tried to ask about ID, but he said, "No ID, just input your pin." I clicked exit and tried to slide in the chip again (because he told me upsettingly and looking irritated) I did a misclick and it said to remove my card, he then suddenly got upset saying "don't remove your card" I tried to tell him, but he start to look mad and shook his head. There was no one else but me in the store. I tried again, and when it declined, he then told me "nope doesn't work," then shoo'd me away. I felt like I was very mistreated, like I was a criminal or a fraud, and felt rushed, especially when he said bye-bye while I was walking away. I am never coming here again. The worst place ever, the older Mexican lady was hella rude. My pump got canceled so I went back to tell her, all she needed to tell me was oh it got canceled but she was yelling g at me oh because you moved the pump that's why it was canceled. It didn't pump that's why I moved. Then she said if I didn't like it I could go to another place. So this is give customer service. I recommend not getting a car wash. It's not worth it. If you see a guy try to dry your car, stop him immediately. I repeat! STOP HIM! I really thought it was a complimentary service so I let him dry my car. I thought cool, I might tip him depending on how he does his job. Next thing you know, he asks me to roll my window and demands a tip. I told him I didn't have change. But he saw a $20 in my wallet. And asked for me if I wanted change for that. I said fine. We stop here from time to time to get gas when its really low. The guy inside is really nice and its clean then most gas stations. I like how they always have hot coffee and snacks right next to it. This way we can't miss them (fat people problems). Anyhow we are in and out of there every time we go. The lines do build up, but as long as you pump and go, it goes quickly. read more

Deserving of its low rating. I have literally spent thousands at this gas station. All I ask in return is to just have the receipt machines working on the gas pump so I don't have to go inside (increased exposure, poor Covid precautions, not worth it) I have spoken to multiple managers (Joe, forgot the other gentleman's name) consistently asking them to fix the receipt function on the gas pumps. Consistently they do not work. I have maybe had the receipt machine work 5 times out of the 50 times I've been there. Ultimately will be taking my business elsewhere. I've given up trying to ask, they just don't really care about their customers, as long as they make a buck off us. I come here pretty often and have had some rude encounters with a lot of the staff except for one. The staff member who is always nice and helpful and goes above and beyond is Ramon! He is seriously the best and I usually will only come to this gas station to fill up only if he is working. He has even given my car a jump when I was stuck at the gas station he definitely deserves a raise and some praise! read more

I'm trying to get my parents car washed, and the dryer doesn't work so the car is drenched in water. The Indian lady manager said that she can't turn it back on or refund because "It washed it though, I'll give you paper towels to dry it" ‍ This Arco on Brookhurst and Garden Grove is bad business. Was roaming around this area and needed to get on the freeway so I can get my ass home. The Mobile down the street sucked the big weenie. I still had to try and clean my windows since my car was filthy as hell. This place is really an ARCO but found this listing on Yelp instead. Plenty of people here fueling up. Plenty of squeeegeeees for me to clean my windows with. Plain dirty water but this will do. Most gas stations have been remodeling and this happens to be one of them. Looks really nice and flat screens at each pump station. Loud and annoying as hell with the commercials they play. Perhaps I should have just rolled through the car wash they have? Oh well, half way done when I saw the car wash entrance. By the way, what's with all the photo intersections? Are there no more police officers working? read more

Around 6pm today the old lady cashier behind the register give me a bad impression of the place. If I could give it 0 stars for my experience today I would. I walked in and with the intention of getting all the types of tickets there were. I got in line, waited my turn, gave her the money I prepared $10, got incorrect play tickets, was blamed for her messing up, verbalized again to her what I said earlier, she said she didnt hear it, told me to wait on the side after she helped out the people in line. 1st off she had the nerve to try to put her mistakes on me by blaming me, then failed to apologize, and at the end was rude by telling me to wait in line again for her to fix her mistake after she helped others first (at least 6 customers were in line, it was out the door). I'm in the service industry too and I know for sure this is the wrong way to handle things. She was supposed to own up to her mistakes up front, apologize, and immediately fix it. She didnt take responsibility for her mistake and tried to shift blame front the start instead of trying to find out what was the mistake. She handled the situation very badly. She needs some training or retraining. If she handled this situation like this it makes me wonder how many others situation did she also approached with this bad attitude that might not have been reported. Not a fan. I just wanted to get a quick car wash. After getting into the car wash, I looked outside and saw an employee was wiping down the cars after the car wash. Which is great, I appreciate that. But I specifically went to a gas station car wash so it would be quick and easy and I wouldn't have to tip anyone since I didn't have cash. He started drying my car as soon as I exited, so I didn't even have a chance to tell him I didn't need it. And as soon as he finished he stood at my window and asked me for a tip. I found one dollar in my wallet and rolled down the window and apologized for not having more cash. He gave me a dirty look and shook his head. If the gas station is going to make him dry cars outside they should be paying him more, so I can pay my $6 for a cheap easy car wash and not worry about tipping anyone. read more

Beware! I got card frauded here!!!! This has always been one of the shadier gas stations and yet I still made the mistake of using my card at the pump. Now I have to wait to be reimbursed. I've seen people steal bikes from the front, run out with beer, ask for money on many many different occasions. Monitor your station better!!!! read more

I've always gone through the drive through car wash and today it stopped mid wash on me. The guy working there told me to pull up and said I moved my car while in there. I told him my car was in park, brake on and the car was off. How did it go half way through the wash and then not work. Continued to be rude and tell me it's my fault and to leave with soap still all over my car. Never coming back for gas or the wash. I hate pumping at ARCO, but man...they're EVERYWHERE!!!! There's more ARCOs than CHEVERON or MOBIL. It's close to my parent's house and conveniently located by the 22 fwy. It's cheaper than most locations. The only con is that they charge you a fee for using your ATM card. I know...don't tell me; I know I shouldn't be using my ATM card at gas stations, but I just don't like carrying cash! It's brightly lit, very new, and clean. Great place to get a midnight snack, or anytime of the day. They have a good selction of coffee in the mornings, and every 5th cup is free if you get the card they provide. But no one like to pay 45cents to pump gas so get rid of it ARCO! read more

Warning!!! My car was not even half emptied yet but I was on my way to LA so I thought should just get gas here then. Paid $20 bucks at the price $2.49 per gallon. The pump stopped at $18.86, to saved me a trip, I kept filling till it hit $20. The pump was horribly slow and didn't stop automatically. My tank overflowed and gas was still coming out of the nozzle.

If I can give them a negative review I would, let me start off by saying this gas station is less than 1/2 mile from my home it's next to freeway on ramp that I take every day, but I do my best to avoid it, but on those rare occasions that have to go there and I feel like getting a coffee, never fails the two women attendants are just plane rude. And it's not just me I see them treat all customers in a very dismissive attitude, they Seem to be mad at the world...
