This north Portland commercial complex has something for everyone, and I highly suggest stopping by to check it out. First and foremost, this is a truck stop with all of the ammenities one would expect to find in such a place. There is a convenience store, laundry facilities, showers and overnight accomodations. But this truck stop takes things to the next level. Visitors will also find a movie theater, an oil bar with seating a great customer service, a massage parlor with a wide variety of modalities and services offered, a large family-style eatery, as well as a lounge and entertainment space that hosts well-known musical acts touring the country. Jubitz has been around for a very long time, in various iterations, and it seems to only get better with age. The overall scope of this place is remarkable. The restaurant is massive, the lounge is as well, and the big names that perform here are pretty impressive! I've bookmarked their performance calendar and will be sure to check out one of the future dates myself.

The store had the chain-specific items such as Jacksons Bake Shop baked goods, a hot foods section, and deli-prepared items. By the refrigerated and frozen foods section, I spotted some motor oil options available (I had bought a quart of oil the day before and mentally tagged this chain to remember in case of needing oil while out driving). Across the aisle was a selection of frozen novelties, of which some Häagen-Dazs items caught my eye. Looking over other cold items, they also had Icee slushie/slurpee options available. However, volume-wise, the single package of a Häagen-Dazs vanilla milk chocolate almond ice cream bar sounded most appealing, so I went with that. Payment was straightforward and the counter workers were friendly. The store and attached Shell gas station were moderately busy, so I went with a second area of parking a little ways off from the entrance of the Jacksons store, at the far end of the Shell pumping stalls. BUT if you are fueling up, there are two sets of prices, cash prices and credit card prices. The cash price is about ten cents cheaper per gallon than the credit card price. You may find a place with cheaper fuel, but you will not find a place with nicer service. This used to be Rose City Arco (the owners of the Arco were awesome too, and just as personable), but it changed to Speedway nearly two years ago. My favorite gas station EVER!

With this economy, Costco gas stations are a godsend…read more I spotted this station after two other nearby stops. Note this is not noted on the Gas I-5 sign. There's a great feature having 3 pumps on both sides for each island. Plus there are lighted signs to indicate pumps in use or available. During my 6/11/26 visit, regular gas was much cheaper than my usual Shoreline site and barely a wait. Same for the main Costco warehouse in Ridgefield. On the basis of that long experience, I would highly recommend this fuel center because of its convenient location in a good neighborhood, easy-in/out, and their clean/uncluttered lot. Now it seems, I have to drop the "highly" from my praise. In the past week I've been inconvenienced/delayed on consecutive visits by malfunctions of their computer system - momentary interruptions or unexpected reboots - either before or while I was pumping gas. Long lines form at the window while the clerk vaguely explains to each customer that we can't pump gas (or pay with credit or debit card, or get receipts for gas already pumped), because their "system has gone down". Not good, Fred Meyer. Ger 'er fixed, or customers like us (who pass up other gas stations to get to your fuel center) will soon stop visiting your location.
