However, after completing the transaction, I received only $0.10 off. I showed the clerk the app's display, and we both took screenshots. The clerk said she would report the issue to her team leader and recommended I do the same. When I contacted the corporation, they explained that a system glitch caused the app to display the $1 discount in error. To address this, they offered compensation of $0.15 off. I explained that if the app displayed the amount, whether in error or not, it should be honored. According to their policy, they never made an award for that amount, and do not have to honor the price. I feel devalued as a customer and taken advantage of. They did offer to increase the award amount to $0.25, but still very dismissive of my concern. Given that we are in a crisis with the price of gas, the dismissive attitude was unappreciated.

After I went to get the car wash, I went back in again because maybe there was some misunderstanding. I told him maybe he misunderstood me and I misunderstood him since I'm hard of hearing. And he yelled at me saying that I owed him $5. I don't understand why I owed him $5 when I paid $10 and only got $5 worth of gas!
