He arrived a bit early, super pleasant to work with and had my dent corrected in no time. A total pleasure. Going to follow all of this up by saying that I do have a local body shop that I like. They do great work and I've never felt overcharged. Downside is that a trip to the body shop means that I'll be without my vehicle for the day while it's being worked on. The paint finish is extremely rough and uneven, with visible texture throughout the repaired area. There is overspray on surrounding panels, poor blending between sections, and the overall finish looks rushed and unprofessional. I contacted the painter about these issues, but the problems remain unresolved. A proper paint job should have a smooth, consistent finish and attention to detail, neither of which was delivered in my case.
