Thru AAA Unfortunately, it was terrible experience the contractor that arrived was disheveled no greeting did not provide information regarding tow did not verify identity only kept asking for payment for tow to phone in for the first time usually is direct through the driver, Robert's Service Center AAA Technician C185-Luis M. Was a terrible encounter didnt verify payment then took off with out communication upon departure was suppose to accompany tech to location left me standing behind then was confused because he left without instruction where to leave vehicle in specific area didnt follow directions then turned his phone off when trying to contact and lied to dispatcher lack of customer etiquete and very unprofessional deminoer definitely needs retraining how to handle interactions with clients NOT SATISFIED WITH TECH WILL NEVER USE CONTRACTOR AGAIN ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS almost left car in wrong lot if this is how they conduct business pretty disheartening.... read more

I took my vehicle to put in a trailar hitch & wireing harnest, Told me it would not be much! When I called to find out if everything was good. They cahrged me over $300.00. After that, it would work, then it does NOT work, then it works then it doun't. I needed to get it inspected for motor vehicle. Now they wanted me to Drive the trailer with OUT no registration! Horrible place. AAA sent me Robert's as a tow truck service, 3 hours pass by, I called here and asked for a time estimate. AAA previously estimated 15 minutes, so I told Lauren Civitelli, the "manager" that I had been waiting 3 hours and if the time estimate was correct or if someone was on the way currently. She then very rudely said "I just told you 15 minutes so". Lauren then canceled my tow truck, which led me to get another much more friendly service to tow my car. Highly wouldn't recommend. Employee/"manager" who shouldn't even be considered which, is extremely rude. Don't waste your time. read more

Roberts towing service is garbage. When questioned they became very defensive and unprofessional. AAA sent them to tow my son's 2003 M3 with a flat bed and his lack of experience (didn't put wood in front of the flat bed) ended up with damage to the front bumper and Roberts claim they didn't do it. I will make sure my review will be all over social media and the internet. Lie after lie even though the tow truck driver admitted to me and the auto body shop owner the car was brought to that he caused the damage. read more

Mechanics are difficult to review for people like me because I know little about cars. So for all I know I could be getting swindled. But in this case I can safely say they did a great job. My car had been having difficulties starting for months. On and off. Took it to Firestone, who I still trust, but they were weirdly reluctant to fix the starter. Charged me for a new battery. Charged me to fix a leaky oil pan. Neither worked. Again I am no mechanic but it was clearly the starter and I told Firestone my opinion and for whatever reason they didnt want to fix that. So the car wouldnt start in a Barnes and Noble parking lot. I call a tow from Roberts, the tow guy IMMEDIATELY tells me its the starter, bangs on it a couple times with the hammer, and viola the thing starts right up. Tells me: get a new starter or this will continue to happen. I bring it to Roberts, they didnt argue with me, fixed it in under 24 hrs, and charged me less than Firestone quoted me. Its tough out there for people who are ignorant of cars. These guys felt trustworthy from start to finish. read more

The people of Robert's Service Center are amazing! My truck broke down off of 95 and they had a tow truck to me in twenty-five minutes. The tow truck driver, Jason, could not have been more friendly or helpful. His happy personality de-stressed the situation immediately. Once we got to the shop, everyone there, from the front desk staff to the mechanics, went out of their way to get me back on the road quickly. They recommended a pizza spot and told me to go enjoy a slice and they'd call me when my truck was fixed. They installed a new battery and a new alternator and I was back on the road in about an hour. Very grateful to have broken down in a place with a wonderful shop like Robert's Service Center. read more

I had a simple oil change done parts are junk the cap came off and leaked oil my whole drive home my oil light came on my engine was almost seized. They put brakes and rotors on my husband's car the next day the brake pad fell off grind it on the rotor I was told I would get a refund and never got a refund but my husband could've been killed! read more

I am a retired contractor of 35 years and have had my vehicles to many Service centers. I can tell you with no hesitation, that Roberts Service Center is first rate in all respects. Starting with the wonderfully-courteous and helpful lady at the front desk. The repair work is always top notch with no cutting corners or cheap substitute parts. If a problem arises after picking up your car, they always take care of it, usually free, as long as it relates to the original work performed. The pricing is just where it should be-fair and reasonable. Remember also, you always get what you pay for! read more

I was barely a customer, but the service was excellent! My car broke down during Thanksgiving travel from NYC to MA, and Nick from Robert's was the tow truck driver who responded to our AAA call. He soon became a hero to our 4-year-old - and us. He let our little one pull the levers to lift the car onto the flatbed, and made sure we weren't stranded while trying to figure out what to do for the night. He took us back to the shop, opening up the waiting area, putting on the TV and taking down some toy cars to distract our son while I made desperate phone calls. He then gave us a lift to a nearby hotel when their shuttle wasn't available, and offered to drop off our car seat if needed. When we called first thing in the morning and talked to the service manager, he was already aware of our predicament, and checked out the car as a priority. It ended up needing major repairs and he referred us elsewhere. The estimate he quoted ended up being spot on, and I really appreciated his quick and helpful manner. I needed a AAA tow after my car started making a horrible noise at the Milford mall. To make a long story short the technician Tyler V came and was a life saver. Instead of just towing my car away he asked me questions to get to the problem. He quickly discovered my catalytic converter had been cut out. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me. He even called mall security and the Milford cops for me because I was in shock not knowing what to do. He was so informative and super super helpful. I really appreciated everything he did! The front desk manager spazzed out on me because I accidentally left trash in their parking lot. I was cleaning out my totaled car and their trash bin was full. My guess is the trash was overflowing and that's why my trash blew into the parking lot. I'm already dealing with the loss of my car and I would expect a body shop to treat me with compassion and respect. The lady talked to me as if I were a two year old. She called my phone after I left yelling through the phone "Come back here and get your trash" and she went on a rant about how disrespectful I was. It was bizarre to be talked to in that manner by a business. read more

I broke down on my way home from Maine to NJ. Panic set in as I had 2 dogs with me and it was a very warm day. From the tow truck driver to the front desk, I could not have had better service. Like every 10 minutes someone came out to update me and check to make sure I had water for the dogs. They couldn't have been more accommodating and had me out in record time. read more

I went there for my emissions test upon recommendation from Dan Perkins Subaru. Waiting area and lobby are spotless! I did not have to wait at all. There is a video cam so that one can watch the entire test. All in all, it took only about 15 minutes. Highly recommended! read more

I was impressed with the driver's courtesy and professionalism. He was more than willing to "get to the bottom" of my issue to the extent he could and his truck was new, neat, clean and sweet-smelling to boot. I'm from Newtown and last night was my first night out in Milford. I went to a bar called Citrus with my friends for my boyfriend's birthday. We parked in a nearby lot with a sign that said "Parking" with an arrow. There were no signs that told us anywhere that it was not okay to park in this lot. When I came out, my car had essentially been stolen from me without warning or any sort of notice. I was told that it was towed by Robert's and that I would have to pay $135 to get it back. I was also told that my car would be brought to me in 20 minutes. After waiting for a long time, I found out that my car was not being brought to me and that I would have to go pick it up at the service center. I had no way to pick it up and had to rely on a kind stranger to give me a ride there. After being dropped off at Robert's, I waited for 45 minutes in the cold until somebody arrived there. Paid the 135 in cash but I plan to take action and write a letter to the Town of Milford about this. Robert's was going to tow every car in that lot last night, leaving people confused and stranded. This is not a service center. It is a money-making organization that tows people unfairly without remorse. Not only would I never take my business here, but I will not return to Milford because of this unpleasant experience. read more

CHEATS and LIARS! After a bad car accident, the police called them to tow my car. In front of him, they agree to tow it to my place and later on after we moved away from the accident spot, they refused and said they would have to take it to their shop in Milford. I was told that I could pay only by cash. I called up AAA to arrange for towing from their shop and unfortunately the nearest AAA agent was Robert's. This time as AAA, they took their own sweet time to get a driver and truck to tow my car to my place. Avoid them like PLAGUE. read more

The tow truck driver got out of his truck immediately complaining about how dispatch was supposed to tell us to jack up the car prior to our arrival, I said "alright we can do that" and he had this cocky attitude and said "oh so you knew, time is money you know." so we paid him the $25 for him to jack it up since he was already there. He acted like him having to use his cheap little harbor freight floor jack was such a burden. read more
