I booked Anthony for two haircuts, one for me and one for my three year old son. He was great! He showed up exactly on time with his impressively tricked out, single chair, barbershop van. Anthony makes good conversation, he seems like a solid, hardworking dude, he's professional, and he cuts a good haircut. He took his time and didn't rush. He has two TVs, and he offered drinks and snacks. It was my son's second haircut ever, and he was scared, fussy, and non-compliant. Anthony was extremely understanding and patient. He put on cartoons for my son, spoke in an upbeat and motivating way to my son, and allowed us to stop to take breaks. About halfway through, my son finally realized he could trust Anthony and that the haircut didn't need to be a stressful experience, and he let Anthony finish the haircut without any more issues. I'm so happy that Anthony helped us with this and was able to complete the haircut and gain my son's trust in the process. The fact that it looks great is almost a bonus! This service is more expensive than most haircuts, but the convenience, professionalism, and just general awesomeness of what Anthony offers is totally worth it for a premium experience right outside your front door. Awful!! I sent a text message to inquire about getting my husband a hair cut for his birthday. I saw a friend used this company so I thought, why not! Sent a text message, they responded and asked for my location. I let them know where I was located, and got the response... "I don't think you know how this works. We are in Long Beach and that's 70 miles away. It would be $100 in Mileage and $50 for the service." Ummmm ok?? Rude!!!! #1 I had no idea where they were located. And #2 after I let them know I wouldn't be using them and would find a service where "I understood how it worked" I got the response. "Good luck with that." I've known and experienced his barbering expertises for over 3 years, before he got his mobile shop and set up his own business. I, "discovered" Wallace when I went into the shop I had been using for a couple of years (my usual barber not in) so Wallace was it. I wanted a shave, and Wallace's skill with the straight razor convinced me I was dealing with a pro. So he went independent I maintained contact and from the first encounter in his custom van, he had a customer and I had about as close to a friend as one could get with a barber. B.C. (before Covid) I would get a haircut and shave twice a month. 9:30 a.m. he'd show up He would have YouTube on and we'd go looking for a jazz musician. Well those days are gone. Now he still comes at 9:30, but instead of working inside the van, he cuts, shaves is more like it, my hair. After he's done he carries the bar chair back into the house. Yep. It is hard to be a mom inside of a barber shop! We have sons, they need their hair cut.. but we feel so uncomfortable at the barber shop even when some try very hard to make you feel welcome, alot of them don't care and you are smack dab in the middle of Maleness. This is MY personal opinion.. it may work for others but this is the reason my son had a pony tail until he was almost 4. We were introduced to Wallace by a friend and have been going to him over 1.5 years now. He gave my son his first haircut and let me tell you: it was blood, sweat, and alot of tears.. and moving.. The set-up in his Mercedes van was totally professional: clean, well maintained, stocked like a full-service barber shop. The atmosphere was comfortable with A/C and soft music. The barber chair felt good. Anthony is an experienced and talented barber. He listened to what I wanted done and he did a great job on my hair. I was completely satisfied. Also for coronavirus precautions he wore a mask and gloves the entire time, and he showed me what he used to disinfect his tools in between clients. I wore a mask except for when he had to do my sides. The price is steeper than I am used to paying for a haircut ($50 plus a travel fee for driving outside of Long Beach) but he provides a very special service, so I felt it was worth it.
