It was the best of times since I was employed. But it was the worst of times because Apple was going to charge me almost $200 ("including tax and fees", according to the Genius hipster I spoke to). And it would take 48 hours. So I hit up Yelp and lo' and behold, I find Jonathan. I text him. He replies almost immediately. I ask for a quote, he says that iPhone 5 screens were still too expensive but suggested that I waited for the price to fall. He recommended that a paying, desperate customer should wait and be less desperate and vulnurable to price hikes. That alone shows you the kind of character Jonathan has. Fast forward eight months later and I cracked my screen again. During FINALS. In my sadness, I remembered Jonathan fondly and texted him. Again, he replies immediately and though he could not save me that very evening he was available the next morning. He arrived on my campus and illegally parked to replace my screen. But a few hours later, the screen was glitching. I texted him sheepishly, expecting him to ignore me since I already paid him. Why bother right? NOPE. He texted me back, concerned, and tried to rearrange his schedule to assist me. He even drove to MY work place in Huntington Beach just to replace my screen AGAIN for free. Pay Jonathan money. So, I went on Yelp and saw his amazing reviews. We were able to meet at a Starbuck's near my house and he fixed the screen promptly. After the screen was on he realized there was a flaw in the new screen. He could have easily collected payment and have me leave (I probably wouldn't have noticed it). On April 19th, I contacted Jonathan's Mobile Repair service by messaging him through YELP. Within a very short amount of time he replied back to me. He was happy to set up an appointment with me in MY time frame; great customer service. I set up a time with him for a service call for the following day. While Jonathon was not personally able to be the person working on my iPad screen replacement, he sent a top notch associate to perform the work (he asked it if was ok to do so and I said yes). I'm giving that associate 5 Stars as well. He was prompt, courteous, explained everything that was involved with the replacement, told me about their warranty and reconfirmed the price that Jonathan and I had agreed upon. The job was done to my total satisfaction and in a very timely manner (I believe it took approximately 1 hour). The work was done at my home, per my request. After the job was completed, the work area was cleaned by hand and left in pristine condition. Before the associate left, my iPad was tested several times to ensure it was in working order. I couldn't have asked for a more professional service call. Overall, my experience with Jonathan's iPhone iPad Repair Service was very positive. This is an update since my phone was fixed. Met with Jonathan. He he extremely mobile and really caters to the customers city, also schedule. He was able to meet me according to my schdedule and did all the work right in front of me! He "trouble-Shot" (tense?) exactly what was wrong with my old 3gs, and charged me for the parts and labor.
