Horrible first time experience upon entrance to the store I was greeted by a service rep that was noticeably already annoyed. Vincent was openly rude stating they charge fees for their services unlike Apple. Also, once I explained how rude he was I heard a voice from the back of the counter stating...whaaaat when someone pops out calling themselves the manager. She stated he had a bad customer prior snd he was upset, unacceptable behavior. I cannot believe this business is new and so openly rude. I left and refused to do business. I don't know if this whole corona virus has anything to do with their price gouging, but here's my amazing experience with these THIEVES of a corporation: So... the battery on my Early 2015, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display ran out of cycles (it would not turn on unless plugged in, and remained at 0% indefinitely). It was obvious it needed to be replaced. I called Apple Customer Service and they told me it would cost $129.00 to repair if I took it in to Apple (which I later found out is actually misinformation, it's actually $199.00). ANYWAYS, since this whole COViD-19 thing has all Apple stores closed, they referred me to this wonderful business, since it's a "Certified Apple Service Provider" ... THANKS APPLE! I brought my laptop in and found out there was a mandatory diagnostic fee of $65.00, however, that cost would be applied to the service fee, if you so wish to have them service your product after they diagnose the problem. I told them I already knew what was wrong with it, it just needs a new battery. THATS ALL I WANT. They said it's a part of their policy to proceed with the diagnostic work up, no matter what. You CANNOT leave your device with them unless you agree to give them at least $65.00, basically, even if you already know what the issue is. So I thought to myself, okay, I'll agree, it will be applied to the $129.00 that Apple said it would cost me. It's all good, right? WRONG. I agreed to the fee, left my laptop with them, and a day later they sent me the message attached in the screenshot below.. They told me exactly what I'd already known about my computer's issue - "The Battery Failed" - and then said it would cost me FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS... that's right... $ 5 0 0 . 0 0 you've got to be kidding me And you thought Apple was overpriced??? When I came to pick up my device that same day, they made sure to let me know that every drop off comes with a COMPLIMENTARY cleaning! Wow! In conclusion, here's what'll happen to you if you come here: You agree to a $65.00 diagnostic fee that will be applied to your service charge, they'll WAYY overcharge you for service, you'll disagree to the service, and you'll lose $65.00. If you're reading this review, I urge you to go elsewhere. This company is a SCAM. But hey, at least my still-unusable computer is shiny and clean. read more

they wasted hours of my time, two different days and my phone was still messed up and when I got upset, the guy told me he's not responsible for my phone. It was a brand new iphone so anything wrong with it was because of him. He was extremely rude and I'm not sure if he was really that incompetent or just doesn't care. Like most people say, they are looking for every way to collect a dollar. I called Apple and they said I was eligible for a free screen replacement based on the ghost touch issue that is been identified for the iPhone X (https://support.apple.com/iphone-x-display-module-replacement-program). Since the apple stores a closed for covid this was the first place with an appointment, so I booked it to get it replaced. I came here and they tried to charge me $300 to replace the screen. I then talked to Apple and they will do the replacement for free by shipping in the phone. I will have to go about 5 days without my phone but dont have to pay for it. Avoid these guys, I'm sure what is happening is apple gives them $50 to replace the screen from warranty work or they can charge customer $300 to get more money in their pockets. They should not have the title of authorized Apple repair given they care more about their revenue than holding up the Apple brand and warranty. read more

My first experience has been bad so far. I was sent here from apple. I was sent to an appointment set up page. Here's what happens when you go there. "Do you have a reservation? If you respond no, you are sent to the apple website. (They sent me to you and now you've sent me back to them). if you don't have a reservation you are done. So I went to the chat. Even worse. This is a direct response "no openings at this time, I would recommend checking on getsupport.apple.com throughout the week , as sometimes we will have cancelations which will open up time slots for more repairs. Otherwise, we will begin taking reservations for next week later in this week or over this coming weekend". Yup, That was the end of the conversation. What a terrible way to handle a customer. Never ever will I take my equipment to you for service. Why bother. They can't even get the chat right. Where are the words "can I help you with anything else?" or Thank you for that matter. Why can't you make an appointment for next week, it's Wednesday. You have no idea what your customer experience is like. Try it yourself one day. Go to apple and see what happens. These guys are great! Had a bad battery on my MacBook Pro, so initially called Apple Support, who indicated it would be $199 to replace. Hardware was less than 2 years old, so I was angry this was the case. Apple asked for my serial number, and then said there was no recall or quality issue related to my battery, so TOO BAD. Oh, and all of the Apple Stores are closed due to the covid-19 virus. So I then call Mobile Kangaroo, and they said bring it in and we'll see what we can do. Long story short, they were able to confirm it was in fact an issue covered in full by Apple, and did the entire repair and turnaround in less than 5 days! Plus, they are nice folks. read more

Beware- these guys are first class rip off artists. How they became an Apple Authorized Service Provider is shocking to me. Brought my late model iPhone in for a low volume issue and went through a very strange diagnostic. The volume was indeed low according to their test and required a new display assembly to repair the issue to the tune of $200.+. Didn't seem right so i called three independent repair businesses. One said if it was the speaker it could be $79. And certainly was not the display assembly. Another told me the same thing but $49. I took it to a different iPhone repair business that was closer and they cleaned the speaker grilles with alcohol and a small tweezer tip and that fixed the problem. I had done the same thing but they just had a better tool. No charge and no more low volume issue. If Mobile Kangaroo was an auto repair place, their solution to a dirty air filter would be to replace the engine. Apple needs to do a better job of vetting their recommended service providers. read more

Great service. Apple stores have been closed due to Covid-19. Apple referred me to Mobile Kangaroo. All work guaranteed by apple. Mobile Kangaroo said they would fix my MacBook in about 3 days but it took more than 10 days. MK sent computer to apple and I guess that's the reason for delay. MacBook runs great. Clean as a whistle. Nice peeps at MK. Much easier to drive to an open mall to Mobile Kangaroo rather than going to big busy mall and people filled apple stores. Good experience. read more

They charged me $19 to tell me there was nothing wrong with my phone & I walked out back to where I started except I drove 30 mins to go there and wasted $19. When it's convenient for them they have the same diagnostic as apple when it's not, they can't do everything apple can do. Ended up complaining to apple & they took care of it. I was referred to kangaroo mobile through Apple support to have my iPhone battery replaced. Apple quoted me one price, but upon arriving at Mobile kangaroo they indicated their price was almost double what Apple told me. They kept saying it was a repair but it was really just a battery replacement. Mobile kangaroo kept saying the price was because of the "diagnostics" they had to run. I do not need any diagnostic repairs. The phone works great! It just needs a new battery. Mobile kangaroo refused to negotiate at all in spite of the inconvenience I was now experiencing at the location. Needless to say I will not be using this kiosk to address my iphone needs. I will be visiting the Apple store at the Oaks tomorrow and the price is reasonable. Not a rip off price from some second party. steer clear of this overpriced kiosk!! read more

I went to the store at 9:30am (when they open) to get my screen replaced and my husband's screen replaced. The man working there said he could fix both screens in an hour and a half. The business phone rang within 15 min of us being there and the man took the phone call and helped that customer for over 10 minutes instead of getting started on our phones. Then another customer came in and started working on that computer instead of getting started on our phones. By 10:30am, the employee had not started on working on our phones, but took the payment of $350 for my husbands phone and $210 for my phone. My husband needed to get to work so he decided to take his phone to the mall to get the screen fixed. His phone was fixed at the mall within 15 min and cost $90. The man working at the store did give a refund of $350 for my husbands phone when we returned. My phone was not fixed until 1:00pm. The employee said he had to call another tech because my phone wouldn't reconfigure once replacing the screen and after an hour figured out there was dust that needed to be cleaned and then it worked. I asked the employee if he would offer a discount since it took 3.5 hours to fix the screen on 1 phone instead of the quoted 1.5 hours for 2 phones. He said he couldn't offer any discount or refund. It was absolutely not worth the wait nor the money. Very disappointing. read more

Recommended to me from an Apple tech that couldn't resolve my issue over the computer or phone. Apple made the appointment for me. I used Mobile Kangaroo in Irvine twice in two weeks. The first time was for my daughters MacBook Pro. She cracked her screen but also had some keys falling out of the keyboard. The rep told me it could take up to 2 weeks but usually only took a few days depending on how long it took for them to receive the parts. He ordered the parts the same day (on a Friday) and I had the computer back by Tuesday the following week. He also informed me that Apple had a re-call for that model and it included a new keyboard and outer shell as well as a new battery at no extra charge. I was so pleased with their service I made an appointment to have them check out my iPhoneX which had major glitch issues. He told me there was also a recall for my Models screen and that they would do a diagnostic check and if there was no liquid damage that there would be no charge! I dropped the phone at 12:30 pm and was able to pick it up the same day and the only thing it cost me was the gas in my car to go pick it up. Aside from all that the service was professional, courteous and their time estimates were accurate. P.S. I was reading a recent poor review and I'm guessing it was a gentleman that I saw (I was waiting my turn) fly off the handle at the rep. He was yelling at him because he was told they couldn't allow him to sit in the waiting room due to their size and the Covid regulations. He had taken a chair that had been turned around and had a type of caution tape with a sign on the back and sat on it leaving the rep no choice but to say something to him.
