I have two vintage motorcycle (pre-1969) and I needed a new battery for one of them. Ironically the dealer/manufacturer didn't have any in stock for my motocycle and that I'd have to special order it. He said to try "batteries plus ", and when I called them they had it in stock. It blew me away! Picked up the battery and was riding in less that 20mins! Lesson learned! Came in to purchase new batteries for my key phob. $12.99 per key fob to have them put the batteries in. Ummm?! Ok. Can I just buy the batteries & put them in myself? Apparently not. So I guess ill order online and then put them in myself. So bizarre. Went online & ordered 4 batteries for $6.95. Went on YouTube and saw that the installation was so incredibly easy. So I spent $7 and I'll have them tomorrow. I will have 4. I could have spent $25 to have two put in by the guy at the store plus whatever the cost of the batteries. Also saw online I could purchase and pick up in store so he clearly could have sold me the batteries. Frank - you may want to inform your employees, specifically the one working last night about what you offer. Seeing as I came in and after being told about the cost of having your employees install my batteries when I didn't ask about having you install them I asked if I could just purchase the batteries and I was told no. I specifically asked if I could just purchase the batteries. Answer was no. Brought my car battery to the Camarillo CA store to have it tested as it was having a problem holding a charge. They hooked it up right away to the charger and quickly diagnosed that it was "gone" and wouldn't hold a charge any longer. Since the battery was still under full warranty, they swapped it out for a new one without any hassle or charge. These are the kind of people I want to do business with! I rarely give reviews but was disappointed with the response that I received from the Camarillo location. 1 week after purchasing a battery from that location I had read that I should have purchased another battery from Batteries Plus. All I wanted to do was upgrade, and pay the difference for the more expensive battery. I was told by Batteries plus corporate when I called at first that would not be a problem, but she had to put me on hold and call the Camarillo stored make sure my upgraded battery was in stock. Well when she got back on to my call she informed me that all the bBatteries plus store were run differently, and the manager said that they would not allow me get the upgraded battery. Me and my wife have been customers at the Camarillo location for many years, we have purchased new batteries for our vehicle's, new cell phone screens, and home batteries etc... Because of the lack of customer service, and lack of respect, even after corporate office telling me that should not have been a problem but that location would not allow what I need, my wife and I will not go back. After I told him about my rather rapid battery depletion he asked to see the phone. Today my wife and I went to batteries plus in Camarillo to buy batteries for 2 car key pods, and a guitar tuner. After a misunderstanding about pricing of the batteries; they sold s the batteries to us w/ installation for $35.00. I thought it was high- could have gone to dealer and/ or online and bought much cheaper- car dealer- Lexus wold have done it for $6.00 per battery period. In the confusion of the misunderstanding about an exceedingly high cost, the owner and 2 employees were arrogant and rude, which provoked me to anger...I have been a customer over the years since they opened. Usually Batteries Plus has always been really helpful and I've had excellent service. I've bought car batteries, computer batteries, car clicker batteries and all other battery needs there before. Unfortunately when I went into get my battery replaced for my watch that wasn't the case. I have a Casio watch that got the battery replaced and they never told me they about the liability waiver before fixing it. It wasn't until I took my watch in the water after they replaced the battery, that it was no longer was working. When I went back to the store to ask them to fix it. Their response was this is in our fault and we don't fix Casio watches without consenting to liability. When I explained the situation to the sales associate that no one told me that before fixing it. His response was "You should've taken it to a authorized Casio dealership". I then asked to speak to the manager. The sales associate told me before the manager came over, that he knew this manager would not help me with what happened. I then talked to the manager and explain the situation. His response merely was it's my fault and that he was not going to do anything about it. Long story short if you need your watch battery replaced that is waterproof don't take it to Batteries Plus. Otherwise they will fix it for you but it will be your fault when the watch leaks and you'll be out $250 for a new watch. I have been going there for many years for different reasons whether it be for batteries, cell phone issues, even to stock up on flash lights. I recently went to get help with my iPhone and the staff is always kind, professional, knowledgeable, and best of all quick. They always go above and beyond to be helpful and make sure I understand my options before making a decision. I went a few weeks ago with a small box of miscellaneous batteries and was told they now charge to recycle with a $20 minimum. I purchased a motorcycle battery in late January of this year and it would never hold enough charge to start the bike without a jump or push. At the recommendation of one of the Batteries Plus Bulbs employees in March ( the battery was less than two months old) I purchased a trickle charger and kept it on the bike for two months while it sat in storage. I rode the bike three weeks ago and parked it, today when I tried to start it..... nothing. When I took the battery back today for a warranty exchange they wanted to keep it because it was at 10 volts and not under, I asked the manager to warranty it, and explained my frustration with not having a reliable battery and having to disassemble my bike every time I ride it. He explained that as per store policyholders had to test the battery (that was at 10 volts when it should be at 12) and that it would be easy tomorrow killing my plans. I left the battery on the counter and went straight to O'Reilly and bought a new one from them. I will never buy from Batteries Plus Bulbs again, I may not be the biggest customer but I have constantly spent a couple hundred dollars a year there for the last 20 years. Being frustrated that my Pixel 2 had trouble with the charging port (cord not staying put, and intermittent charging), I finally decided to give a phone repair shop a try. The WeFixIt technician at Batteries Plus Bulbs took a look at the port, tried a couple different cords, and then took the phone back to his work area. He came back and said he used a very small pair of tweezers to extricate a small wad of lint from the charging port. The USB-C cord now snapped in perfectly and no more charging troubles. Awesome! The charge for this work was EXTREMELY reasonable. I wish made a note of the tech's name, but he's a big guy with dark hair ... and he's my hero. Thanks, man! read more

I made an online appointment five days in advance and received a confirmation email with Batteries Plus Bulbs in Camarillo, CA, to have a new battery installed in my Samsung Galaxy S7 cellular telephone. When I travelled some distance to the store and arrived at the specified time, the store clerk tersely told me that the required battery was not in stock because "We hardly ever replace the battery in those phones" and also said, "Someone should have called you and cancelled the appointment." The clerk's demeanor was callous and completely unapologetic. Moreover, he made no effort or proposal to order the required battery for installation at a later date. I wish I looked around more for iPhone screen replacement. I would not recommend going here. I was charged $100! It was an INSANE PRICE to charge but I desperately needed a new phone screen. Once I received my phone back, the screen didn't work the way it used to. I couldn't text without randomly hitting other letters that I never pressed. It was beyond frustrating! Every single time, all through the years, we have been met with extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. We've purchased batteries for our cars, RV, motorcycle, and car remotes. Do not purchase vehicle batteries here. Learn from my mistake and go to an auto parts store or dealership. The will only honor their "warranty" if you leave the battery at the store for two days leaving you without a vehicle until they complete their "testing". They will not offer a rental battery. I was forced to purchase another battery while they "tested" old battery. They found old battery (purchased less than a year ago) to be fine and will not refund the other battery I was forced to purchase. The owner, Demelza, offered to refund $18 for the core only if I left old battery. Corporate customer service was a joke. Take your cash elsewhere!!!! read more

At first I thought it was kind of ridiculous to have a store that only sold batteries. Then I needed a replacement battery charger for my digital camera and none of the usual stores had it in stock. Batteries Plus had exactly what I needed. I have been back for a few things since then, including a slew of batteries once the baby was born and we realized every gift she received was battery-powered. My husband and I come here often for various types of batteries. The staff is always efficient and pleasant. After last weekend's visit with my eldest daughter, let me add honest. My daughter was having issues with her car's remote key opener. She figured she needed a new battery. The clerk opened up her remote and noted that she had 3 (!!) batteries inside her remote. Rather than simply replacing all 3, he tested each and said they all had plenty of charge left. He said they had come loose and re-inserted them to make sure they were in tight. I have been a customer for about 6 years. The most recent success with Batteries Plus came when I used Yelp to get estimates from 5 local vendors on a battery for my car. I received quotes from $200 to $300, so I went back to Batteries Plus - got a Duracell battery out the door for under $150. AND the service is terrific - they are actually friendly as well! I purchased a lifetime battery replacement for a Bulova watch. I have used it a few times. Today I went in for a battery replacement and was told they no longer replace batteries in Bulova watches as the watches are worth too much. In fact I was told they cost more than my paycheck and the associate's giving be the line of bull. A $200 watch too expensive to replace a battery? I was given the option of a refund or they would transfer the battery replacement to another watch. This was a sure way to loose a customer which the did. read more
