If I could give it a 0, I would! A 1 rating is being too generous. It takes a lot for someone to get me to the point where I write a bad review, but the customer service was. One of the worst I've ever experienced. I can't believe that Apple actually contracts them to work with their customers. The tech has no sense of customer service. He was very rude in the way that he greeted me, spoke to me and helped me. He had a bit of an attitude from the very start and it gave me the impression that he did not want to either work with me or he was frustrated and stressed out. I tried to overlook it, however by the time I was about to hand over my phone. I just couldn't give my money to a business who treats their customers in the manner of which I was treated. I really needed my phone battery to be changed as I am traveling tomorrow morning. However, given the treatment that I did, I much rather sacrifice and wait until I get back from my trip. I'm big on customer service and believe that when you treat your customer as well they return and make referrals. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming to the shop Apple authorized or not. I plan to give Apple a phone call and share my experience with them as well. And by the way, this wasn't my first encounter at the shop. I remember going there years ago to get my son's iPad fixed and after today, I was reminded why I left and took my business elsewhere. I was trying to give them another chance, but they ruined it for me altogether. read more

My MacBook needed repair due to my dog. I brought my MacBook to Mobile Kangaroo since it was the closest. I was told I had to pay $75 for the diagnostics. I received a text that said some parts needed to be replaced. I have AppleCare Plus, so the cost of the repair was $299 (deductible fee), but since I already paid $75, it was credited toward the total cost of repair, and paid $224. I got my Macbook back after 4 days. Everything looked good when I used it at home. Anoop was great and responded to my questions. Service was quick and proficient. read more

1st time interaction with this store. Brought our macbook air with a damaged screen for replacement/repair quote. We know what we wanted and needed a quote for the specific repair to decide on moving forward but this business insist on running a diagnostic ($35 fee) or will not proceed. Took it to BestBuy (Authorized apple repair center) w/o needing to pay extra diagnostic fees for the quote. We asked if Apple store also leverage this $35 diagnostic fee to customer if requesting for specific repair (i.e. replace screen, replace ssd, replace memory, etc), the response was "I don't know". read more

Overall good experience. Came in 3 times, nice people assisting. Helpful and replacement phone came in quickly so I came back in to get. Person I met with then was helpful and warned me about not having my iCloud backed up. Although I was ok with losing info he really wanted to make sure I was sure. Offered for me to leave both phones so they could do transfers. It was a work day so I needed my phone for my job. We called back and they scheduled us for Sunday to come back in. When we arrived a different guy helped us and said it was $100. We were never told there was a fee, this guy understood and said he could do it for $50. Seems crazy me, I'm paying for my own data to be transferred. I declined. Although I had a good experience each time I went, they should be more transparent with prices. read more

The battery on my iPhone was replaced within a few hours. The battery for my old HP laptop needed to be ordered but was replaced when Kangaroo Mobile received it. I understand when you are busy, you're stressed. I know that when the customer can't understand a word the associate is saying and doesn't comply, the associate can get annoyed. The associate should also understand that if he's giving attitude to the customer, the customer has a right to decline service and go elsewhere. I clearly stated this to the associate. He asked me my problem, and I told him it was his attitude. This part uncalled for - he says, "fuck your mother." It's one thing to say to me, but it's another problem when it's directed at my mom and for anyone that cares, she passed away a few years ago. I hope there's appropriate action. Never treat a customer this way, especially when giving a service. Otherwise, look for another job. read more

I accidentally spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro and basically fried the internal parts. What can I say, I'm a bit clumsy oops! I needed a thorough diagnosis on whether the computer can be saved and this place really revived my MacBook from the dead. They took my computer and inspected it for a day or so, and then they sent me a text message saying I needed the logic board replaced - which was what I was expecting. The computer wasn't turning on and I'm sure the liquid damage ruined it. After they gave me an estimated cost and I gave my approval, they took about 5 days to replace the parts with new ones and I got a text saying it was ready for pickup. I'm currently setting up my computer and all the new internal components match up with my old ones. They threw in a brand new battery @ 0 cycles too! This made me so happy. I learned my lesson from my clumsiness and if I ever break my tech devices again in the future, ik where to go. Do not take your Apple products here. They lied to me about Best Buy and Apple Store charging for diagnostics. Those stores do NOT charge for diagnostics! I took my unresponsive iPhone here and paid $50 for a quick run on the diagnostics machine. I first asked if those above mentioned locations also charged for the service, and the guy said yes, they do. That was a lie. I decided not to continue my service with Kangaroo and went to Best Buy. The associate laughed and said I should never go there again. Best Buy has to send iPhones off to be repaired for 5-10 biz days, and advised me the Apple Store was the ONLY option for me. I was able to have my phone replaced for free at the Apple Store. No charge for anything! It was under warranty, FYI. read more

THEY TRY TO SCAM ME. On november 10 i scheduled an appointment to repair my mac book pro so this location recommended by apple service center had the soonest opening. The same day i received a text saying my computer had water damage and i had to pay $800 for the repairs. I take very good care of my device and that was not the reason it needed repairs, so i decided to refuse thair services, a supervisor came out and offered me "a deal". Since i was sure there was no water damage to my mac book. I took it to Apple, they never said there was water damage and they did repair my device under warranty. MOBILE KANGAROO FREMONT SHOULD NOT BE AN AUTHORIZED APPLE REPAIR PLACE. Let me start off by saying I have AppleCare and the only reason I came here was because the Apple store is currently closed and they promised same day replacement. So I make my appointment.... I come to my appointment time slot, and they are helping a walk in client, which they aren't supposed to be taking. I wait for them to be complete when he tells me I'm going to have to come back tomorrow. Why did I have to come in to begin with only to be told to come back? They didn't take my phone or anything. They could have gotten the information needed over the phone instead of making me come in. Even though it was supposed to be SAME DAY replacement, he told me to come back tomorrow. So I call today when I'm supposed to pick up my phone and they guy on the phone is giving me the run around, he has the part but doesn't know when it will be ready. My phone is being replaced, not repaired, if you have the part, you have my phone, why can I get the phone? Because they aren't being truthful. I ask when it'll be ready and they say "maybe today or tomorrow." I bring up the fact this was supposed to be fixed yesterday and was told today and now I'm being told maybe, maybe tomorrow. I ask for a straight answer and he gives me attitude and says "well, tomorrow then!" At that point I told him I'd be leaving him a bad review and making a complaint. My husband called them after I told him what happened. They admitted to him they indeed DO NOT have my replacement phone or any so called parts they claimed to have received for it in my conversation with them earlier. Turns out I'll get my phone tomorrow...maybe. This place is UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, and should NOT be trusted with your Apple devices. read more

I found these guys when I had an issue with my iPhone camera and they were the closest Apple authorized location to cover my repair under warranty. They provided me all the information I needed to feel that I was being taken care of. They described the issue to me as well as how it could've occurred. They described to me the steps they were going to take to fix the issue - which was replacing the rear camera module on my iPhone 12 Pro. They gave me a timeline of roughly 2-3hrs for the repair along with setup an effective method of communication to notify me when the work was completed to return for pick up. They ended up finishing the job in under an hour - much quicker than originally expected and answered any remaining questions I had when I was back. Update 4/24/20 people work at this store is a bunch of liars. After they broke my phone last Friday while they "attempt" to fix it I ask them for the broken phone back and they wouldn't give it back to me. On Monday I had apple call them to retrieve the phone and they still won't give it back claiming that they sent it back to apple already. How can you send the package out when you are close on Saturday and Sunday and the representative cal you Monday morning. Bunch of lies. Avoid this store at all cost. I went in to get my iPhone 8 Plus lcd screen replaced and ended up with a nonfunctional phone where they had to replaced for me completely. First of all l, let me just say that I am a tech myself and before going into the store I knew that all they needed to do is to replace my lcd screen but since I don't want to use an aftermarket lcd I went in to have them replace it instead. And since I knew it was an easy fix I didn't back up my phone. I walked in at 3pm and was told that they will run a diagnosis on my phone and see if it can be fixed the same day, and once they did the diagnosis they told me it can be fixed within 3 hours. I went back at 5:45pm and was told that they have to run diagnosis and calibrate the phone. I went in again at 6 and again they tell me they needed another 10 to 15 minutes to run diagnosis. Since I don't have another phone with me I told them I would wait outside and have them to come get me when they are done. The guy came over and get me at 6:25 and told me that they cannot fix the phone and would give me a loaner phone and to come back Monday instead. I told them I cannot do that because I have a meeting the next day and it is important that I have my phone back, there are information on that phone that I needed for the meeting. Then they ask me to wait another 10 to 15 minutes and see what they can do. After another 10 to 15 minutes they come out and told me that they would just give me a new iPhone 8 Plus since they can't fix it. Another guy emerges from the back and said "sir we already spend the maximum time we could on your phone, we close at six and it's already 6:30, we have family to go back to and there is nothing we can do?" I told them I don't want a new iPhone 8plus and I would rather have my broken phone back and take it elsewhere but they refused and told me that cannot be done. Since I wasn't given a choice I decided to take the iPhone they are giving me and Deal with it on Monday. When I opened up the "new" iPhone they are giving me I could not activate it and all they said was "the network is down just go home and do it it will activate when you go home." I was furious at this point and ask them for their names but neither one of them wanted to give me their names I ask for a business card with the name of the owner and again they told me they couldn't give it to me. I ask them why they are not wearing a badge and they told me they are not require to. All they said to me was they did their best and went over and beyond for me and they need to go home and wanted to kick me out of the store. I told them I wouldn't leave until I get a name and the repair guy got so frustrated that he cuss at me in his language and busted the door open and left. I went here recommended by Apple. Apple was very booked and busy but these guys had an opening. I set my appointment but asked if I could come in earlier and they said of course. I found the place but got lost a few times but it's located across the Shell. I came in and was greeted, they checked me in. Asked what I needed and saw that i needed a battery replacement for my dads phone. They diagnosed it first to check if I actually needed it. And after all the rest was done, took 2 minutes, they took my phone and said they would call. After a few hours, I came back and my dads phone was good as new (iPhone 6S). A couple days ago I called Apple because my AirPods Pro was crackling and there was a replacement service available for AirPods manufactured before October 2020. They set an appointment for diagnosis at this location. After about 30 minutes or so, I received a phone call telling me that they diagnosed the issued and it was not covered by Apple's service because I purchased it Oct 27, 2020. He kept showing me the screen from the apple website that said that the AirPods that qualified are those manufactured before October 2020 and since I purchased them in October 2020 it didn't qualify. I told him that there was no way that the AirPods was manufactured, shipped, and sold in under 28 days. He was very defensive, hung up on me. I tried to talk to him again when I went to go pick up the AirPods and then after telling him I wasn't blaming him, but trying to understand it better, he calmed down a bit. He insisted that apple wouldn't cover it and for me to call apple myself. I called and within 5 minutes found out that my AirPods Pro was manufactured in August 2020 and indeed is covered by the service program. I am pretty frustrated that they couldn't at least call Apple themselves to check to see if qualifies, but instead took the path of least resistance. Apple actually asked me why I was sent here instead of their own store and assured me that I will receive much better service at their own store and that they would understand this issue much better. Don't bother coming here, just drive the extra distance to an apple store to get your needs met. This was my one and done and will never return. read more
