I have an old Apple IPod that needed a new battery. So I thought I would ask Mobile Kangaroo to take a look at it. I was happy to hear they could help me. It took about a week to run tests on it to make sure it was the battery, and order the new battery. They did a wonderful job. They charged $35 just to look at it. Then applied the $35 towards the cost of fixing it. $82.49 I probably could have bought a brand one on eBay for the same amount. But for me it was worth it. read more

I get good technical service at Mobile Kangaroo. But the office, according to their websit, is open on Fridays and Saturdays. On Friday I did the Lala hour drive through cross town traffic--the place was dark and locked down tight. That whole experience took an hour and a half out of my day. There wasn't even a sign on the door. Today it's Saturday--no one is answering the phone. They have two of my computers that I want to pick up. Never again. read more

I scheduled an appointment with Mobile Kangaroo through Apple's customer service. This was an excellent option compared to sending my MacBook Air through the mail to get the necessary repairs. The staff was quick in communicating with me about the status of my repair, which I truly appreciated. They accept Apple Care, so my repair was free of charge (thank goodness). My only minor gripe is that the repair took longer than I expected. I thought I would pick it up in 3-4 days after drop-off; however, it was ready for pickup in precisely one week. This may not be a big deal, but I need my laptop for work and school, and I did not have an alternative device. The repair went into a holiday weekend too, so I will let it slide. Most importantly, they fixed my problem, which is all that really matters. Overall, I would recommend this tech shop. read more

Total waist of time dealing with Joseph ! Scheduled a service for battery replacement only to come and be told it's not in stock ! Yet what should of happened is before telling me to come he should have checked to see if they have them in stock ! I did talk to him prier to coming and he asked me if the phone had physical damage , so there was assessment being done . I collected my phone and took it to cellpros and it was fixed for 25 bucks do not recommend also charged me a non refundable 35 dollar fee. I went in because one of my keys on my laptop broke off, and my Mac is old so it's just one of its problems. Anyway, I asked for an estimate of how much it would cost to fix the keyboard and they refused to give me an estimate. This is understandable due to liability reasons, so I paid the 65 dollar diagnostic fee just to be told it has the problems I already knew it had. I was told that the 65 dollars goes towards the cost of repair. Anyway they got back to me saying that the price to fix the keyboard would be 400 dollars. I rejected the repair as it would be cheaper to just get a new laptop. However they told me that the speaker also needed a repair so I asked instead for my diagnostic cost go towards repairing the speaker. They rejected saying that I had to purchase the other repair before the speaker could be touched. This was an absolutely horrible experience because I lost 65 dollars for them to tell me everything I already knew and they refused to fix what I asked them to fix. Overall, this was an absolutely terrible experience. The girl at the front desk was amazing and polite but the rest of the experience was terrible. I recommend going anywhere else. They will treat you way better. This place is overpriced and just not worth it. read more

1000% would recommend Mobile Kangaroo. I spilled a whole bottle of water right on my keyboard right before finals week and called everywhere in Fresno/Clovis to see if I could get it fixed. I really didn't care about the computer itself, but I wanted all the documents and photos I had stored on it. I searched everywhere in the Fresno/Clovis area and was told that the diagnostic fee just to open up the computer to see if the memory card was salvageable, was going to be $200. Mobile Kangaroo's diagnostic fee was $100 and when I went in, the employee opened up my laptop and said I would only pay the diagnostic fee if he thought he was able to retrieve all the data from the memory card; if not, he wouldn't charge me the diagnostic fee. Mobile Kangaroo was able to retrieve all the data, put in on an external hard drive, AND fix my laptop, and everything including the diagnostic fee cost about $300, when other establishments had quoted me $800. Overall, honest and ethical employees, fair prices, and excellent service! read more

Was told that they had the parts in stock put I needed a appointment so I set a appointment when I for the appointment and was told that there were no parts in stock and had to pay for them to be ordered and would be in stock in 2 days after 7 days and no contact from them I went back in and was told that I did not pay for them to be order and after I showed them that receipt that tried to say that the parts did not ship and it was out of there hands and was told it was my fault and my problem when I was lied to and had false promises and no contact or communication about any of it That is fraudulent and bad I would not return or recommend them for any service for any reason and I hope that they lose there contact with Apple as certified repair center because that is no way to treat any customer or any person when there is so many places on every street corner that can do the same service and do it better than them read more

Walked in...friendly AFFORADABLE ran diagnostics....they said give them 1 1/2 hours to repair!!! Yeah. ONE HOUR later they called said its fixed. What???? I took my computer to the Fresno Mobile Kangaroo store to have diagnostics ran on it. I have a 2016 MacBook Pro that the display was only working if the laptop was open to a 45 degree angle. I informed the clerk that I only wanted diagnostics ran and no repairs done until I had those results. As the laptop is 5 years old and not worth putting $600+ into as I would rather purchase a new laptop that is more up to date. I was informed that a $65 charge had to be paid and if I decided to have them work on the laptop that that would go toward the repair. I again stated I only wanted diagnostics done. The clerk told me that it would take 2 hours to run the diagnostics, both my husband and I heard that. We live 40 minutes away from the shop, so we hung around in Fresno for 2 hours. I tried calling the store and no one answered so I had an email that told me I could email them for an answer on my laptop and did so. Still no answer! We drove back to the store and I went in to inquire about my laptop to see if they were done and the clerk rather irritated told me that he said 24 hours not 2 hours and he had not even started the diagnostics on it. I told him that I was sorry that I guess my husband and I had heard wrong. This was about 2pm on Friday, they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Since I had not heard from him on Friday, I expected to hear on Monday morning. No phone call was received by 10 am, a hour after they opened I called three times before getting through to the store. I gave him my name and type of laptop that I was inquiring about and he put me on hold to check on it. He came back on the phone and said it was in the parts area. I said wait a minute I did not authorize any work other than diagnostics to be done. He said well it needs a new display and he quoted me a price minus the $65 I had paid on Friday. I said if you have ordered any parts, I am not paying for them as I did not authorize you to order or fix anything. He said, wellI don't know what you and the other guy discussed on Friday but you will have to talk to him. He said well I haven't order the display yet, so nothing has been done. Then with lots of attitude he said you can come pick it up then. When I arrived at the store this morning, I asked him if they ever intended to call me and he said yes whenever I got to your laptop. I honestly do not think I would have received the call as think their intent was to order the display and figured I would just pay for it, since it was already in the parts area. I have never had this kind of issue with a computer repair place. I made a complaint to Mobile Kangaroo's Corporate office as well as with Apple. I feel their employees need to be trained in customer service skills and taught how to put notes in a file so that other employees taking over know what was discussed. I do not feel it is my job to figure out when the original employee works to get my instructions clarified. I will NEVER do business with this company again and you would be smart to steer clear of them too! read more

So the Apple guy told me I needed a new phone battery because my phone wasn't charging. I couldn't book an appointment at the Apple store until the next day, but he gave me Kangaroo's number as an authorized repair shop. 20 minutes later I'm in their store asking for a new battery and the tech says "Well let me take a look at it first." He presses a couple of buttons to turn off some wasteful operations that were draining my battery 24-7, gets some tweezers out and removes some electronic navel lint from the charging port and the thing is now working fine! I think it's impressive when you're practically pushing seventy-five bucks into the cash register and the guy stops you because you don't really need the thing you're trying to buy. Way to go Kangaroo! A clean, bright store, no wait at all and a courteous, ethical guy who put seventy-five dollars back in my pocket. Thank you! read more
