I've got to be honest, I can't see the reason for such a meh rating! One bad experience? Hm, Idk. It's a shame to diss a place like this. I've been here twice, without an appointment (although they're recommended) and I was helped quickly and treated very well. I'm not a nerdy phone geek, although I do love my phone, and these guys patiently answered every question and walked me through my problem every step of the way. Sweet too, it was free!! I needed service/ repair for my Apple Watch, the face had popped off. I wasn't sure if it was repairable and I contacted Apple. I live in Fresno CA and the only available service is through the local Apple store which you should never go without an appointment. And even then it is not a quick experience. Apple directed me to the Mobile Kangaroo an authorized Apple service shop. It is a small shop very near where I live and the service was amazing. The watch was repairable but had to be sent to Apple. They kept in touch with email and text, we're very helpful, answered all my questions and explained the process. I highly recommend the Mobile Kangaroo at Bullard and West avenues! read more

When I brought my computer in to have the top case replaced I was told I would get it back within 2 weeks. Over 3 weeks later I called regarding the status of the repair and was told on a Friday it would be done Monday. Monday came and went with no communication from Mobile Kangaroo to let me know the parts needed hadn't even been received yet. I didn't get my computer back until nearly 4 weeks after I brought it in. When I spoke to a worker about this he told me they had "failed to follow-up with [me]" because they "forgot." Really?!?! When I took it home I was shocked to find that the trackpad wouldn't allow me to click on anything. I had to take it back to Mobile Kangaroo to fix the trackpad and this is something that should've been dealt with by the tech who fixed my computer. The only saving grace for this place is the nice employee who fixed the trackpad while I waited in the lobby. read more

Called to schedule an appointment to get my phone fix , I went in and they told me I had to call and reschedule an appointment with Apple. I didn't understand why schedule an appointment if you can't fulfill an appointment, to bad they only one of 2 Apple authorized dealer that can do repair during this lock down. I brought my MacBook Pro in for warranty servicing due to a faulty key on the keyboard. While I waited to check my computer in, I overheard the technician telling the person in front of me that they are extremely security conscious. When I checked my computer in I confirmed they would not need my password. Since it's a simple hardware failure of a bad key and the keyboard was going to be replaced, I knew they would not need it. They confirmed there was no need for my password. On my way home, they called to ask for the password making up some excuse about diagnostics. If they needed my password, I would have actually had to wipe the hard drive due to company sensitive information on the encrypted drive. I suspect they said they didn't need the password because so few people encrypt the drive and once they discovered it was encrypted they asked for the password. Now, you might just say I'm paranoid and give them the benefit of the doubt. I'll willingly admit that I may be wrong. I chose not to mention this even from almost 3 months ago. However, I just got off the phone booking my next servicing at the Apple Store to finish the repair. I now have a screw sticking 1/4" out from the bottom of my MacBook Pro. It seems they never properly tightened several screws which are all sticking ou. I hadn't noticed it previously, but after using the notebook for several hours in a car I believe the vibrations shook them and they have come out. Also, after I received the notebook, took it home, opened it up and went back to work, when i picked it up with the screen open there was a pop as it reseated properly. Bottom line, a next day appointment is not worth it. Stick to the Apple Store. Avoid these guys, it's just not worth it. read more

Updated/Edited Review: MacBook Air Keyboard repair. I had sticking keys for months. My 'return' key was completely stuck so in an attempt to dislodge it, I broke it. The device itself was damaged so I couldn't just stick the key back on. Apple has a keyboard program because of their faulty butterfly keyboard design. Under certain circumstances, they will extend your warranty and repair it free of charge. I highly highly recommend just going directly through Apple instead of Apple service providers for MacBook keyboard issues. Especially if it's urgent. Apple fixed my entire issue free of charge under the program within two days. Mobile Kangaroo diagnosed the problem with a $65 fee and told me the same exact repair would be over $400. I get it they are a third party service, it's their call. This review is just a heads up about how these services work. read more

I was sent to this authorized Apple repair shop to fix an issue I had with my Apple Watch. I drove from Porterville to Fresno which is 70 miles one way. I got there and Aaron was not helpful one bit. I wasn't even in the building more then 2 minutes and he was telling me there's nothing he can do for me. Then he just walked to the back and sat behind a wall with the manager Josh who didn't even try to help me or explain why they can't help me. The service Aaron provided was horrible and the manager Josh well I don't think he should even be called a manager. He didn't even step up to talk to me or help one bit. Horrible company. I came to have my macbook pro keyboard fixed. The rep told me that my mac is known to have keyboard issue and I could have it fixed for free within 4 years from the purchasing date. I had no idea about this and I was only 10 days passed that date. He was so nice and suggested me to call apple to see if I can get the exception which I did. Apple customer service gave me a 1 time exception so now I got to have my keyboard, battery, trackpad replaced at jo cost. Otherwise it would cost me more than $500. This is the kind of service that is so rare to find these days. I went in on Saturday morning, broke the screen on my Microsoft phone, and was looking to get it fixed. Jestice (sp?) was WONDERFUL; he was knowledgeable, helpful, professional -- gave me the information I needed to make the decision to actually purchase a new phone and not repair my existing phone. Came back after I had purchased my phone for some additional assistance. Their store front is in a great location, West Pavilion shopping center, Southwest corner; it is clean, uncluttered on the inside, plenty of parking in the shopping center. I took my fiancé's phone last Tuesday because there was a software error. I was told my fiancé's phone would take 1-2 days before we could get it replaced so we paid $560 to replace the phone only for it to be almost a week later and still no phone. My fiancé is an assistant manager and needs his phone for work, we wouldn't have agreed to getting a new phone through them if they would have expressed it was going to take longer than 1-2 days. They also lack good communication, we had been told the phone would be ready the next day assuming first thing but it was late in the evening 630 when they were already closing because the repairs get sent to modesto!? Customer service can't be beat! I brought in my 2011 MacBook Pro after being referred by Apple to get it diagnosed for a power issue. I was charged $65 and found out my logic board died. I was told it would be $650 to repair it, but before even asking me if I wanted the repair done, I was given honest advice to consider buying a new machine rather than repairing mine with them. I did decide to get a new machine, but before I got my laptop back, they kindly transferred all of my data onto an external hard drive, reformatted the hard drive so I could use it on Apple or Windows machine - since I was considering a Samsung - and left my original hard drive out of my laptop so I could sell the rest of it for parts. All of that was definitely worth my $65. Hopefully won't need to go back for any problems any time soon since I'm getting a new machine, but if I do, they are definitely my first choice! read more

What a nightmare. I wish I could give less than one star, that is too much for this company. Some of the most ignorant people. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to on this one: I brought my iPhone in because it stopped working on the touch screen. They diagnosed it and said it was a iPhone disease and it will be replaced for 160$ and I have to wait 5 days. I wait 5 days and hear nothing from them so I call on the 6th day and turns out they forgot to disable find my iPhone so they were never able to send it out for replacement yet. No call or email to let me know to call them to disable that feature with my password. I wait 5 more days and hear nothing again until I called again. This time turns out something else was wrong with the phone and not covered to get replaced. Now I'm waiting for it to be sent back and hopefully refunded. Which I doubt they will let me know when they receive it. Truly disgusting customer service. read more

Ok, so this is usually my go to for phone repair.... until today....They usually offer loaner phones, I dropped my phone off at 9 am and didn't get it back til 6:30. The time is not the problem, how can you have a phone ALLLLLLL DAY, and not offer a loaner. Im from out of town and still learning my way around, so having GPS gets me around the city. Atmosphere: Located in a big, but tight plaza near the far left corner. Inside, the shop is very spacious with great AC and their white/green color theme is all the decor there is. There are seats on both sides of the room and a small selection of phone accessories for sale on the wall. Customer service: I've only seen guys work here, but they are very nice. If you know nothing about your piece of technology, they are patient in explaining your services to you. Service: From my experiences, they are pretty professional about helping their customers and their services and ordered pieces are very trustworthy. Without using at all, my old iPhone battery would die within 3-4 hours. Now, without using, my new battery lasts about 1.5-2 weeks! Overall: Couldn't give all stars because they forgot to contact me when my shipment came in, as they said they would. I had to call in to check. However, a reliable, go-to repair place! read more

The service here was ultimately excellent, but their online communications system is not what I would expect for a tech repair place. After upgrading my 2010 iMac's hold HDD to a nice, new SSD, I discovered upon putting it back together that I had screwed something up and the display no longer worked. These guys fixed it. At first it looked like the thing needed a new display, so they ordered one. But when it arrived, it turned out to be a problem with the logic board. So they returned the display and ordered a logic board. The price was reasonable, and between the new SSD and the repair here, still cheaper than buying a new iMac that I don't need. Everybody I dealt with was friendly and helpful, and I am happy. Next time I have a device issue, I am going to these guys. Communications were a little rough, however, to my surprise. They have a website where it looks like you can communicate with them by email and get a quote quickly, supposedly within one or two business days. It took quite a bit longer than that. They said they were having problems with that system. Then after checking in, I received an email with a link that said it was so that I could communicate with them about the repair. After a few days, I used the link to ask about the status of the repair, but never received any response. Also, they asked if they could communicate by text, and I said yes, I would prefer that. Never received any texts. All of the (successful) communications after check-in were by phone or in person. If I had known that's how it would be, it would have probably made the experience better. If their web, email, and text systems don't work, or if they don't use them, then they shouldn't advertise them. read more

I took my phone in because my receiver was not working. Not helpful. The employee was not able to resolve my issue, charged more than Apple, went through the entire process WITHOUT telling me to order a replacement phone they would send mine in immediately and I'd have to wait 5-7 days for a replacement. Once I realized I would have no phone during that time, I had to cancel everything. The employee did not even apologize. I made an appointment online through Apple, and when I came to the store, the check-in process was quick and the tech was friendly. It didn't take as long as they said, so I was glad I waited in store. Overall a good experience. I definitely will come back here from now on instead of the Apple store! I did see a review on here that mentioned they said they didn't need the device password, but at the end they said they needed it to run the final diagnostic. That happened to me too, but they ran the final diagnostic right in front of me, so I didn't feel it put any of my info in jeopardy. I can see how some may feel it would though. read more

NO ONE answered the phone even though it was during business hours. (this is my first and likely my only yelp review. Im only here because I hope to warn other people to STAY VERY FAR AWAY OF THIS PLACE!) 1st, I made appt. around 6-7pm for next day at 12:30pm (at first I was stoked to get my phone fixed quicker than most other places). At first it seemed too good to be true so I researched their service before booking appt. during my lunch hour. Almost all Yelp reviews mention their "great turn around time" they're totally LYING and most likely haven't actually dealt with their TERRIBLE SERVICE and FALSE ADVERTISING. 2nd, They claim to complete phone repairs in 20-30 minutes or at least the same day, this was totally false advertising... after years of a few broken phones, OS problems, battery failures, etc... I've learned a few of the basic's in phone repair, not only from service shops but doing my own repairs as well (everything from a cleaning to a complete overhaul of a phone. not bragging just stating that I know a few things here/there). with that said, a simple screen repair, button swap, cleaning, reconnecting everything and of course testing that the repair worked properly, I know this should take no more than an hour (even for a beginner watching youtube tutorials... 1hr-2hrs at most!) but I was told by the service guy, who didn't have any other customer repairs to finish that I could see, had explained that my screen repair wouldn't be done for at least 24-48hrs... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! 3rd, The terrible service agent tells me that the phone can't be fixed at their location and has to be handed over to them to be driven 130miles to Modesto,Ca. just so it can be plugged into a machine for 3-5mins, then the phone has to driven back the same way another 130miles. And by the way they don't do this "road trip" after 12pm. Which If I had known this I wouldn't have gotten food before going there on my lunch break. I had literally been killing time for my appt. just to arrive to a completely empty store... I have NEVER heard of this "tester machine" before in my life. Even through years of phone repair issues/ research/ forums/ videos/ reviews/ etc... Also Apple never mentioned this machine either when I had asked them the day before about Mobile Kangaroo's services. most of all I find it to be EXTREMELY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE and a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME/ MONEY/ and RESOURCES just to drive a phone on an idiotic 300 mile round trip, and every single day at that! And what really topped the experience off was their terrible customer service when explaining this process, and the lack of explanation on their website/ on their Yelp page/ on their Appt. booking service and their online advertising... Both the service guy and the manager just told me that I should go back to apple and wait 5-7 days until I can get an appt. because they refused to solve the issue that is entirely their fault and COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISING. but they didn't seem to care AT ALL about their customers... Finally, After reading other Yelp reviews people had said they were given "loaner phones" if their issue was going to take longer than the same day... Neither the idiot service guy or the LAZY/RUDE "manager" had even slightly offered a loaner phone or attempted to fix the issue. I WOULD GIVE ZERO "STARS" BUT HAVE TO GIVE AT LEAST 1...
