When…read moreI brought in my phone, he told me that he shouldn't have any trouble fixing it and took a deposit. Later, he called back and said that he was not able to fix it after all. I picked up my phone and he did not return the deposit. (I believe I lost about $30, just for letting him unsuccessfully try fixing it.) I then went to the Apple Store and they were able to fix it for about $5 more than iSmartDoctor was charging. Also, the Apple Store assured me that if they were not able to fix it, I would not have to pay anything. I have learned my lesson. From now on, I will just go to the Apple Store in the first place. ---------- I wasn't questioning if I signed something saying the deposit was non-refundable. They said they had to order the battery and it would be in on the 26 and he would call me.  Nobody called me and I tried calling multiple times throughout the day and nobody answered the phone. I left multiple messages and nobody returned my call. On the 27th I drove down to the place and was told they can't find the battery and that he would text the guy I spoke with the first time to find out where it was. He said that since the next day was Thanksgiving to come in the day after to get the battery replaced.  I called on the 29th and was told the tracking for the battery shows delivered but they can't find it.  I told them if they couldn't find it by the 30th I would need my 50% deposit back and I would go someplace else.   Here we are on the 30th and I called and he said he found the battery and I let him know I would be right down. When I arrived he asked me to give him 20 minutes so I went shopping.  I picked up my phone and got home to find the back isn't even fitting back on right. There is a large gap on one side which you can see in the picture. Can't imagine my phone is water resistant anymore. I'm so disappointed and if you take your phone in after reading this all I can say is, you have been warned.

Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Poor Repairs and Even Worse Customer Service…read moreI would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering using this location for a repair. My laptop was taken in for repair, and the technician installed or ordered the wrong part. I specifically made it clear that I did not want to be held responsible for any damage to a part that was incorrect, especially since the part technically belongs to the company and is not something I want or need. For two weeks, I went without my laptop while they waited for a part to arrive. During that entire time, no one ever called me to provide a meaningful follow-up or update. I ultimately had to reach out to the company myself. When I spoke with Stan, instead of taking responsibility for what went wrong, he repeatedly told me that the situation was my fault because I left the laptop there for two weeks. That completely ignores the root cause: if the technician had ordered or installed the correct part in the first place, none of this would have happened. I was also told that I could simply come pick up the laptop and use it whenever I wanted. Yet somehow I was still being blamed for not having a working laptop for two weeks. That logic is unacceptable. Stan also told me he could not issue a refund or start the correct repair that day. What he could do, apparently, was begin the reversal of the existing repair so that I could pursue a refund. That raises an obvious question: if he has the ability to reverse the repair, why can't he address the actual problem and make the situation right? The customer service during the call was just as disappointing as the repair itself. Stan repeatedly talked over me, insisted that I was wrong, and continued trying to place the blame on me rather than acknowledging the company's role in creating the situation. Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a company takes responsibility and resolves them. In this case, I saw neither accountability nor a genuine effort to make things right. If you're looking for a repair shop, I would seriously recommend taking your business somewhere else. Based on my experience, the staff are not on the same page, communication is poor, the repair was mishandled, and customer service appears to be the last priority.
