I picked up my phone and he did not return the deposit. (I believe I lost about $30, just for letting him unsuccessfully try fixing it.) I then went to the Apple Store and they were able to fix it for about $5 more than iSmartDoctor was charging. Also, the Apple Store assured me that if they were not able to fix it, I would not have to pay anything. I have learned my lesson. I got an email from Verizon to update my phone or something like that, so I figured what the heck…read moresince my phone was having issues anyway and I had been meaning to contact them. I scheduled the appointment for the update and new screen protector. I got a call the week of the appointment, wanting to discuss the time of the one I selected. I chose Christmas Eve Day, from like 2-5 or something like that. I ended up going a few days earlier since they assured me it would not take the full time slot. It also turned out they are not Verizon but are located near them. They are a small store; they have some phone cases and signs. I waited for someone to come from the back and then we got to talking about my phone's issues. This appointment was not for that- but I was there so what the heck. They said it would not take long, so I went and ate nearby. I came back, and they then informed me there was an app, I think McAfee that was preventing them from doing their job. I told them they could delete it- then they asked if they could delete other apps if needed to do the service. It turned out my phone was okay, but they thought there was a virus & they suggested a full reset. I did that a few days later. The issue I was having is resolved.

It had not given me a low battery warning or anything. But once I brought it they claimed it's the charger port and recommended replacing the battery so I did both because I listened to their recommendation. Spoiler, it was a big mistake. It took a whole MONTH to replace both parts. And when I finally did get it back and bring it home it turns on normally, but guess what error it gives me? If you guessed "unable to detect charger" you'd be correct! So I dropped it back off and showed them pictures and videos of the problem. I had to call back a week later because I hadn't heard anything and they tried to gaslight me into thinking I was wrong and they recommend I buy a new charger cable. Now, to anyone that has more than two braincells, this sounds like a bad original diagnostics or faulty repair and they will not fix the problem so I guess I wasted both time and money. I asked if they would at least give me a discount on a new charger and they said they can't. I originally went there because google reviews have it at 4.8 stars. What a lie. I tried leaving a review there after my experience only to realize it was being shadow banned. Should have checked yelp first, all the reviews here are more realistic.

My Phillip Stein watch was running slow so I took it in for a new battery. Keep in mind that my watch was running but just slow. He advised I take it to a watch repair. I did and explained what happened. She said that the clerk at the battery store may have touched a wire that he shouldn't have. She tried to fix the watch but couldn't and would have to send the watch to be repaired and it was going to cost $350.00. The clerk at the battery store broke my watch and I get to pay to undo the damage. My advice is if you have a inexpensive watch that can be easily replaced then knock your socks off. But if you have an expensive watch you should avoid this store like the plague. I am so disappointed with this store that I wish I could give it zero stars.
