I found Dr. Kuty's (Maria) company the day Minou showed me signs that he was ready to sleep forever - I looked them up on Maps and their company was the first to show with nothing but perfect feedback. I sent them an email first, it was a Sunday and at around 5 am, I received a response. I called them and although I was on hold for a while, I eventually spoke to someone who was nothing but supportive and compassionate. Never did I feel judged or hurried. I was crying my heart out and could barely talk - their patience and support was so helpful in easing a pain so intense. Maria arrived on time at our home. She, just like her team, was very supportive and compassionate. She took time to get to know us and Minou - she showed genuine kindness and love for animals (and genuine compassion for grieving pet parents). The whole process never felt rushed. Minou my cat never winced as the medicines were given and seemed to have been comfortable with Maria being there. From beginning to the end - up until Minou's cremains (in a beautiful urn and paw print tile) came back home. I'm so thankful for At Home, At Rest Pet Euthanasia. They're truly people you want to be on your side during these times. Minou was home, in my arms and took his last breath of his Mama's scent and hearing his Mama's heartbeat.

When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. I'm thankful that we reached out to restful pause, and grateful that they were able to come to our house to help us get through this phase. From calling to make an appointment, receiving reminder emails, and day of texts from our vet, each step was handled with so much compassion. We were able to find a weekend availability which was best scenario so everyone could attend. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! We weren't sure we were making the right decision, and she answered all our questions with kindness and reassurance during a really uncertain time. When Dr. Jenn Winnick arrived, her compassion was immediately evident. She took the time to explain everything and assured us we were doing the right thing for Simba. She treated Simba with such gentle care and created a calm, loving atmosphere for her final moments. I got a text - not ahead of time but rather 10 minutes into my appointment while waiting for him at the vet office. That is disrespectful of my time and irresponsible. Further, I was there for a rabies vaccine update for my cat and after I left I realized that he hadn't discussed anything about any side effects or really anything at all with me. The Good: Samantha. A cat whisperer. Gentle, knowledgeable, kind. She should be the vet. Will I go back? Not likely. Further note: They did give me a discount because he was late, but that doesn't address the time I wasted and that my cat was unduly stressed waiting. Should have called in advance to tell me he was running late. Or even apologized for being late. Or given me any medical information pertaining to my cat. Zero, nothing.

A few months ago, Lola suffered a ruptured disc in her neck and needed emergency surgery. It was an extremely stressful and frightening experience for us, especially after watching her suffer from excruciating pain for weeks. Dr. Vitale immediately brought Lola in for an MRI to verify what she correctly suspected was the problem and performed Lola's surgery right away. We truly could not have hoped for a better outcome. The surgery was a huge success, and today Lola appears to be completely pain free and is back to her happy, normal self. Seeing her comfortable and enjoying life again means more to us than we can possibly express. We cannot thank Dr. Vitale enough for what she did for Lola and for our family. She gave our dog her quality of life back, and we will always be incredibly grateful. Dr. Vitale is truly our hero, and we feel so fortunate that Lola was in her care. Our dog was approved for PT here. The PT department was supposed to call about pricing -- never…read moredid. I called repeatedly, always voicemail: "leave a message, you won't lose your place." Took 3 days for a callback. Finally spoke to a PT specialist, confirmed clearly (multiple times): underwater treadmill therapy only. Was told it would be a 30 min, $241.16/session. Got scheduled. Told it could take two or three water therapy sessions for pet to be comfortable. Appointment canceled within a day (staff illness, understandable) -- told to call back immediately to rebook. I did, repeatedly. Same voicemail runaround. Days later got a callback only to be told all PT nurses were out and I still couldn't reschedule. Dismissive and frustrating. I gave up. A few days later, got an apology call. Gave them one more shot. Rebooked, confirmed again by phone: water therapy only. Day of: Therapists asked our goals -- I said water therapy, build strength from dogs TPLO surgery. They ran a battery of PT exercises instead. I assumed it was a warm-up. At 11:22, 40 minutes in, I asked when he'd get in the tank, which is why we are here, which is what was scheduled! The lead therapist said they no longer have enough time to fill the tank. I was shocked!! We booked, and confirmed, one specific service. They ran a different session entirely and then ran out the clock. I expressed my frustration. What were we doing here? This was not the appointment we scheduled. It was obvious the therapists knew, and it became clear I was going to be charged for a longer session than initially requested. I asked for the office manager. Spoke to the office manager. Did not pay for their lack of service and their incredibly poor communication skills. Read the other reviews here before you book. We won't be back.

We sadly recently lost 2 of our cats to cancer, which was absolutely devastating, but the doctors at ArchVet were willing to give them both a fighting chance and at no point did I feel pressured in any direction. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because you will pay $$$$ here, even for simple prescriptions. But for us it's better than driving cats long distances, especially when it's urgent (like when Brodie had a urinary blockage years ago that they were able to treat quickly and send him home the same night).

I had a mixed experience at ArchVet. My dog had gotten hit by a car and this emergency hospital…read morehappened to be around the corner from my house. When I entered the hospital, I let them know that my dog had been hit by a car, but given that she was walking around, they didn't prioritize doing a quick check on her first. The priority was making sure that a deposit was made. I understand the mechanics of how an emergency vet works because I had previously worked at one. And I understand that the financial aspect is a priority, but when you go in and let them know that your dog got hit by a car and they prioritize getting the money and then putting you in a room only for you to wait for some additional time before a technician goes in, it doesn't really leave me with reassurance that they cared about my dog. I ultimately think that once they had her in the back, they took good care of her. But walking away from this experience, I'm not sure if I would return to this emergency vet. The time that it took for my dog to be seen would have been the same if I went to another ER vet that I know would have prioritized doing a quick check on her the minute we walked in. It could be that if you were looking for a regular vet, you would have a good experience, but if you have an emergency, just be aware that they'll prioritize getting payment before doing a check on your dog (even when she's gotten hit by a car). I think the other thing, that many folks have already highlighted in their own reviews is pricing. If I'm comparing apples to apples where I'm looking at costs from one emergency vet hospital to Archvet, services and medications are at least 2-3X the cost. For example, at another emergency vet that I had to go to earlier this year, 10 pills of Carpeofen was $25 while ArchVet charged $100. Given the amount of time that it took for my pup to be seen by a vet and the overall costs, it would have made more sense for me to go to another emergency vet like MedVet or Sage (I obviously didn't know what the experience/costs would be like at ArchVet until after we were discharged). I think every pet owner is obviously in very different situations with your pets so my experience may have varied from another person's. But I just wanted to share my personal experience as somebody who has previously worked in the vet world so that you have the right level of expectations going into ArchVet.

I booked consultations for my three pugs, which were only $49 each -- definitely more affordable compared to other places. Originally, we went in for dental cleanings, but during the visit they discovered two of my dogs had ear infections. They cleaned their ears and provided medication as well. Overall, it came out to around $200 per dog, which I still felt was very reasonable considering everything included. We also updated their rabies shots, and while they did offer other vaccines/services (which is expected since it's a business), they were never pushy about it. The doctor was very honest and straightforward. He let us know that only one of my pugs actually needed a dental cleaning since he never lets us brush his teeth, while the other two had healthy teeth and wouldn't need cleanings anytime soon. I really appreciated the honesty instead of trying to upsell unnecessary procedures. I would highly recommend this place to any dog owner looking for good care at fair prices!
