Zach checked out the laptop, identified the part, made sure there was no other damage. He said they would need to get the part in but could fix it without replacing the whole motherboard because they can micro-solder it. It would be a two-day turn-around and be cheaper. Because of the timeline I just had to borrow someone's laptop but Zach was very helpful and told me how to avoid the damage in the future. I will definitely start here if I need help in the future.
