I purchased a Pride Go-Go sport scooter from these people SEVEN years ago. Today it finally gave out. I called to ask a tech question to make sure it is DOA, expecting to need to purchase a new one. I get some clown on the phone who wants to be 110% sure I purchased from THEM before he would help me. He even went so far as to ask for my "Order number" from 7 years ago. THIS shows their true colors, it is all about the DOLLARS. I ordered a part for my scooter. The package was crushed (a small part placed in a large non[-cushioned box). the part was damaged. It would not have worked, even if it had not been damaged. This is despite the fact that the website said it was correct for this scooter. Customer service gave me a runaround and said I would be charged 20% to return this, rather than a full $50. 00 refund. I find this to be extremely poor customer relations! In response to Andrew: It appears there are two views of this fiasco. My experience is exactly as I stated. The box and product were damaged. Even if it had not been damaged the item would not have worked, despite the website leading me to believe it was okay for the Go-Go. This escalated because of your customer service making things complicated. Interestingly, of course I have a computer. What I said was that I use a landline and do not the technical ability to photograph and send images. You have distorted this fact. I can take a regular camera and mail through the Post Office pictures to people, have never been able to send photos through a computer. Extremely bad customer respect. Our purchase had a bad unfolding regulator and wouldn't close. We had to do a field repair that took me 3 hours to finally get the unit to close. It should be noted that the manual pin being removed didn't help. With all my work I returned the unit and was told since it worked when they got it back I had to pay a 25% restocking fee along with the return shipping charges of approximately $200.00. So much for their customer service. The manufacturer sent me a regulator or I wouldn't have been able to get the unit to close for shipment. Moving Life was aware of this so their promises are like quick sand. Don't buy from this company unless you are into pain. read more

I was given a discount (it retailed the same everywhere, including Amazon) with free shipping and no taxes! Who does that??? I love the product itself. I almost never leave bad reviews, but I am going to make an exception in this case. I realize that this is a long post, but please read prior to purchasing one of these scooters from Mobility Direct. First off, let me say that we really would like to love these scooters. I ordered 2 AFIKIM Afiscooter S4's with dual seats, golf tires and the Lithium Ion batteries that are supposed to go up to 80-100 miles.. I also added the 'tub' on the back for storage. Obviously, I spent a lot of cash on these units. Both units died on us when the battery showed 50% left on them. We had to tow them home, which was not only difficult, but embarrassing! When the first one died the rep from Mobility Direct had me uncover the batteries and charge them directly. That did not work. So then I got a call from AFIKIM, Lee Wheatley, who is the US president of AFIKIM. He asked me to take the control panel off and do some testing. He then came to the conclusion that it was as an electronic problem with the key cylinder or the control panel. He sent me a new key cylinder and I installed it for them. That didn't work, so I finally got the control panel from them and installed it. Again, I did this myself because they could not get a technician to my house, as their warranty says they will! That still did not work, so the scooter sat for weeks while I was waiting for someone to come out. Finally I got very frustrated and sent and email to them to come pick up the scooters and refund my money. I immediately got a call from Lee saying that any refund was up tot he dealer, but he would make sure that this was taken care of. He assured me that I would be confident in the reliability of the scooters. He said that if he couldn't get anyone to come here then he would come himself! He also said he would give me his direct number, so that if anything happened I could call him directly. That didn't happen either. Needless to say he didn't come. I finally got both scooters working, myself, with no help from AFIKIM or the dealer. I am having trouble getting one of them back together properly, but they are now running. The issue I have is that now Lee has decided that since I have them running he has no responsibility to have then checked out any further. I have contacted them several times, but he is now ignoring me and so is the dealer, Mobility Direct. Both the dealer and the manufacturer claim that these are extremely reliable, but when both of them fail at 50% of the battery, I am concerned. Both times we broke down we were within a couple of miles from home. If I take them on longer trips I am concerned that they will fail when we are 20 miles from home! We are old, and can't deal with that. So, all I was asking for was someone to test these batteries and make sure they are OK. Both Lee and Mobility Direct suggested that the issue was probably a bad cell in a battery, but since they are now running they refuse to check them out. This has been a lesson for me. I will never take my time to help another company, who should have fixed this themselves. I was trying to save them, and me, time and money, but that certainly backfired on me. In conclusion, I would probably buy these again, but would not buy them from Mobility Direct and would not order the Lithium Ion batteries. I think the scooters are well made and they are a lot of fun, but if I can't rely on them then my money was wasted. read more

(Updated review as of 24 June 2021) I will say once more that the sales side of MobilityScootersDirect was great. Dustin was super nice and great to work with. However....I can't say the same thing for after sales communication. To be clear, this is NOT communication with Dustin, rather it is with other persons at MobilityScootersDirect who seem responsible for working with customers after sales were complete. In my case, I was looking to get add-ons and additional accessories after the original purchase. Mostly, my attempts at communication all went unanswered. When I did get an answer it was providing me with incorrect information and took a very long time to even get the wrong answers. Finally I had no choice but to purchase my accessories from a competitor who was more than happy to claim another customer, especially one that came from their competition. Sadly, I can not recommend MobilityScootersDirect any longer. My existing scooter is great and I love it. But I'm already considering a 2nd one specifically for using when I visit our local theme parks and plan on making this purchase in the next month. I will not be buying this second scooter from MobilityScootersDirect. Yes, they did good on the first sale, but their attitudes and communication after that sale was completed has left me feeling quite sour. read more

. The reviews of this place has to be paid / fake reviewers . With all of the back to back problems I've had this this place,there's no way this place should have a high rating. First off when I placed my order, the man who claims to be the manager said that the original scooter that I ordered was on back order for 1 month. Not a problem. However, when I called for a update for said scooter a month later, the manager said it was delayed for another month. This went on for 4 months. Yes covid slowed things down but it doesn't excuse LACK OF COMMUNICATION. After the constant lack of communication from them and the supplier, I demanded my money back. I spoke to some woman who purposely mispronounced my name , after i told her how to say it. ( after that I called her the incorrect name she was in her feelings...ironic) She told me they couldn't provide a refund because they don't know if the order was shipped. Again the lack of communication from this place is unacceptable. Especially since they're taking thousands of dollars from people for a product. I later spoke to the "manager " who told me that after I called about the update on the scooter (which was on Monday) , they didn't reach out to the supplier until the end of the week (friday). After demanding money back, they started calling with constant updates.... After months of the run around, I finally received my order but I didn't receive everything....not surprising at this point with these inept people. I called and told them I wanted a refund for the items I didn't receive. First the "manager "said they have to contact the supplier and he'll call back...nothing. Called again, the woman said they have to "wait " for management.....still nothing....that same familiar pattern.....called again and got the man who's been claiming to be the manager and he told me they have to check what refund they provided first. ( when i first placed the order, they told me they couldnt provide the white glove delivery service...after the manager "forgot"......to give me a refund, they mailed me a check for that)When I told them it was for white glove delivery, he just repeated himself. I asked to speak to the owner since he's the one who wrote the original check, he refused to give me the direct number or info for the owner. I'm at the point that I have to constantly call these inept people for anything to happen. Please if you're reading this , find another dealer. These people only care about taking your money and making subpar videos about floor model products.... Well in typical fashion, things are all messed up. The new scooter and lift were purchased from MOBILITY DIRECT in Deerfield Beach FL. I spoke to their customer rep Chuck, explained my health situation and my needs for a scooter and an interior lift. I was informed that the Bruno 4400 Joey lift would not work with my vehicle and scooter. I did not want the hassle of an exterior lift that I would need to strap the scooter to, use a cover to protect the brand new scooter as much as possible and learn to use the swing portion, with the license plate adapter. Chuck talked me through scooter choices and external lift choices using a tow hitch, Mobility Direct said I needed Harmar AL 100, I again explained how even though there was a hitch on the van, I wanted an interior lift; Chuck told me it would not work and I needed the exterior lift. I drove over an hour this morning to arrive at a local company in Alabama that was contracted by Mobility Direct and Harmar to install the exterior lift that Chuck swore would work. The gentleman at Superior Van and mobility took one look at the van, measured the distance from ground to hitch and informed me that the exterior Harmar lift was less then 7" and could not be installed per manufacturer specifications. What he did tell me was if I had been sold what I told Chuck I wanted it would have fit perfectly. So in addition Mobility Direct forwarded paperwork stating the local company would be reimbursed by the VA for the installation. I admit dad was 21 years active duty; prior to his passing this year, but I have never served. So now my brand new scooter has been left over an hour away at the location of Superior Van, the uninstalled Harmar lift is also there, and I am home with nothing. I will say Deon, Joni, their installer (missed his name) and Karen from Superior Van and Mobility were kind but I have no solution. The company I actually ordered from, Mobility Direct, Chuck never ever responded to emails prior to today regarding initial delivery, or today when this mess came about. Terry from Mobility Direct said he was a supervisor and has no idea how the VA paperwork for payment to third party happened, nor a resolution for the Harmar exterior lift that cannot be used. Terry actually said he was going to email Harmar and see if there was a way to force it to work!!! I immediately told Terry NO! It will not be Jerry-rigged to force something when you are talking about my safety, a brand new scooter, and every person driving near me and their safety!!! I was reassured by the local company Superior Van and Mobility that the Bruno Joey interior lift works perfectly and safely. I am so upset about leaving my new scooter behind, no one at Mobility Direct is working to fix this mess. I am very appreciative for everyone at Superior Van and Mobilty. So Thanksgiving is ruined and I need this to be handled to spend Christmas with family in Florida. I hope that Andrew Fatalo who seems to be listed as e-commerce CEO for Mobility Direct will help me and fix this mess. I received a call from a message I sent requesting info. I received the call from Sergio. I was actually planning on ordering from someone else but he persuaded me to buy from him by telling me he could get me my lift sooner. Told me the chair I wanted was available and would be shipped out within a couple days. He said to call back if I had not received the info in a couple days. Well surprise, surprise I called back today and was told they had no information and it could be 15 days before it's even sent let alone delivered. I called and asked to speak to Sergio and was told he was busy but he would call me back. Needless to say no such call received. The couple of reps I spoke to (one supposedly a supervisor) were very condescending and basically treated me like I was lying. They offered to cancel the order but unfortunately the deal I was working on at the other place fell though and would now cost me $300 more for the same chair. I explained to them that I am handicapped and in a wheelchair. My current recliner is on it's last leg that's why I was trying to replace it quickly. So basically I am screwed over and lied to. Just thought I would let you know so you can make your own decision. UPDATE: Just received a call from the owner.. very rude and basically said too bad and would refund my money. I could order someplace else and they have zero tolerance for people who give negative reviews (out of nowhere) even though he said he listen to the call and I was told what I said. Instead of taking the criticism as an opportunity to apologize and improve, he just grabbed his ball and went home. UPDATE 2: Response to owner's response.. How was I not screwed over, was promised one thing then told too bad. I am well aware that inventory changes and if Sergio would have called and told me that I would probably not have been upset but when I called in and basically told too bad what was said and was talked down to. Be WARY of their on line promotional codes as they do not apply to parts sales despite there being zero statement to this effect. I made an attempt to purchase a charger on Cyber Monday, excited to save 10% using the code advertised in the banner. However, they had an annoying CHAT pop-up constantly, blocking my ability to make the selection, add to my cart and proceed to purchase. So I called and spoke with Miguel. He explained that the pop-up mechanism was to protect me from buying an inappropriate charger PLUS...they didn't have the lithium battery charger in stock and would need to contact the manufacturer for availability and pricing information. I voiced concern that I'd lose the Cyber Monday discount, but Miguel assured me that it would still be applied. Three days later I received an email from Miguel giving detail about the charger and activated the link to their website provided in his email. At this juncture I could add the charger to the cart but now being days after Cyber Monday I couldn't get the 10% discount! I called about this issue, spoke with Miguel and reminding him of our conversation three days prior and my specific concern about losing the discount. He apologized but couldn't assist further as the Cyber Monday promotion had expired. While an apology was in order, Sorry doesn't feed any family. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to Sid without the professional courtesy "handshake" explaining the standing challenge. So I started explaining the matter outstanding to Sid from the beginning, detailing the problem. In the midst of our conversation,we were disconnected. I called back twice to continue the dialogue but the queue must have been full and I could only leave "a detailed message" my name, phone number and email. My voice message identified the unexpected disconnect and request for Sid to call me back to finish from where we abruptly left off. This round of conversation with Miguel and Sid occurred on Friday, December 1st. Monday came and went...no call back. So I called THEM back on Tuesday and was informed that their promotional discount codes only apply to new scooter purchases. WHAAAAT!? Their existing website banner advertising HOLLYJOLLY10 as another 10% discount doesn't specify this limitation (neither did the Cyber Monday promotion) unless the print is microscopic? I'm a senior, admittedly don't have young eyes, but certainly not blind or unfamiliar with making online purchases. Looooong story for sure, but be aware and exercise caution based upon my experience which was particularly frustrating, so I am sharing. read more
