I went here today with a colleague for lunch. We arrived at 12:15 and asked about a table. We needed to leave by 1:10, so about an hour. They said the restaurant was very crowded and we wouldnt be able to finish a meal in a hour. Instead, we opted for takeout. Even after being told takeout was a faster option we still waited 45 min for our food. They do have some good deals for lunch specials and an extensive regular menu. Additionally, they now serve ramen. I got a Bento box for lunch and it was delicious as well as being a fairly generous portion. The box had shrimp and vegetable tempura, 4 pieces of California roll, 2 dumplings, white or fried rice, and salad or miso soup. I was only able to finish half for lunch. I also tried their scallion pancakes, and they were top notch. Candidly, I did not see past the entryway, but the restaurant seemed clean and cozy. The staff was friendly, but did seem a bit overwhelmed with the lunch rush. Would I go back? Absolutely, but only if I wasn't in any kind of hurry or time crunch. First time at Moca for a "pre-theatre" dinner with 4. Varied menu has a nice mix of sushi, japanese, chinese, thai cuisines. Something for everybody... and BYOB to boot. Service was prompt and friendly and the food very good. Nothing crazy - some rolls, dan dan noodles, yaki udon, some sushi, dumplings, and satay (family style). Prices are reasonable - even had some desert. All in all - a welcome addition to the local BYOB club. A return visit is warranted. read more

My friend and I dined here for dinner around 7pm on Friday. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated with menus, then offered water. We shared pan-fried pork dumplings to start, and I got the Stir-fried Yaki Udon with shrimp for my meal. Everything was the right temperature and texture, perfectly seasoned, and so delicious! My friend enjoyed her Chicken Lo Mein. Portions were just right -- more on the generous side. Service was good from start to finish. Food was quick and our server checked on us twice. That said, I was surprised/disappointed that our bill was closed out and brought to us without first offering dessert. They weren't closing for almost 2 hours, and they were not busy enough to need to turn over our table, so I'm not sure why; I was actually considering ordering some! I just took that as a sign to leave, and did not bother asking about it. If not for that, I honestly would have given this place 5 stars. The restaurant itself is cool and chic, a little on the darker side, and playing fresh music at an appropriate volume. I liked the ambiance. Parking could potentially be tight (not a big lot) but we had no issues. I would welcome the opportunity to return. Unfortunately, this was probably one of the worst meals I have had in a while. The pad Thai was very bland and lacked the sweet, tangy and savory flavor and balance. The lo mein was a bit too salty and greasy. The drunken noodles lacked the actual taste of drunken noodle and overall, didn't capture the richness or depth I expect from Thai/Chinese cuisine. Dined in off hours so it was quiet. Interior is clean and elegant. Nice place to dine. Food too was neat and well presented, orange chicken even came with a beautiful purple flower! Many choices. This is pan Asian so you can get Japanese sushi, Chinese sweet and sour chicken, and Thai Pad Thai or curry. They even have Ramen. Orange chicken was not cloying, as it often is and wasn't too spicy (only a few red chiles were mixed in). Be prepared. Pad Thad tasted a little like ketchup but was fine. Food professionally prepared and well cooked. Flavors overall a little more delicate and less spicy. Service courteous and excellent. Prices were reasonable. Great service and a great meal! The Szechuan Dumplings were the right combination of savory and spicy. The Mango Chicken was a little sweeter than we were expecting, but it was really good. The Thai Basil Beef was the best in my opinion. The spice balanced nicely with the vegetables and beef. Our server was friendly and prompt and we felt well taken care of. The atmosphere was nice and it felt comfortable. They also got the food out fast, but they were slow so I can't speak to their speeds at busier times. read more

This wonderful new Japanese influenced replaced the great Mandarin restaurant. I'm not sad about the change. I had the teriyaki bento box for lunch and my wife had the garlic style shrimp. New Asian option in Malvern that is nothing short of FABULOUS! We gave it a try last night for the 1st. time and we will definitely be back. Stopped in on a whim. Very clean, great service. My eight year old dumpling connoisseur said the gyoza was the best she's ever had.
