We love, love, love this restaurant. The food here is so delicious. Every time we go here, we order so much food because we like everything and cannot decide on one dish. This time we had the Fresh Spring Rolls, Golden Pockets, Tom Yum Soup, Thai Basil - Street Style Beef, Crabmeat Fried Rice, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Massaman Curry with Chicken. One reason we order so much food is that we usually get 3 or 4 meals out of the large serving sizes. Furthermore, the food still tastes really good the day after. Absolutely disappointed. We were really craving some flavorful Thai food and decided to give this place a try. Big mistake. Every single entree we ordered had ZERO flavor. Like, genuinely none. The drunken noodles tasted like warm, with no depth, no kick, no flavor , nothing - just bland! The basil fried rice basically flavorless, mushy uncooked rice with some sad vegetables floating around. The meats were the worst part. The beef in the basil stir-fry & drunken was rubbery and chewy like it had been boiled for hours then left in a hot car. The beef was mushy and fell apart in a gross, over-tenderized way - zero texture, zero taste. It's like they forgot to season ANYTHING and also forgot how to cook protein properly. Portions were okay, but that's the only neutral thing I can say. For the prices they're charging ($17 per entree), this is straight-up not worth a single dollar of anyone's hard-earned money. I have to say the crying tiger steak looks different than it used to when I had it for the first time, and it didn't come out steaming hot on a skillet. And we had to request the E-san sauce (but it's worth asking for it!) We also had a slight mix up with one of the proteins we had originally requested, but it's understandable. It was especially busy due to the holidays, and they were a bit short staffed. Despite that, the staff were still very attentive and cordial. *Indoor dining review* We heard about this new Thai restaurant opened for over a year, it used to be another Thai restaurant. We decided to give it a try, while the food is good (besides the minor issue), the service needs some work. However it feels very open, there's no screens or dividers between any of the tables. They cleaned our table just before we sat down, but never brought us any napkins or silverware. After we ordered our food and our appetizer arrived, we still didn't get our napkin or silverware. We had to get another waiter/waitress to bring us napkin and silverware, they did bring us silverware, but no napkin, we had to ask again for napkin. Our water was never refilled, there were almost no "Check-In on us". The owner seemed way more interested in chatting up a storm with their regulars than server customers. ~Food~ Most of what we ordered was delicious apart from the minor issue with Appetizer. We wanted to try their Thai basil fried rice, and it was not on lunch special menu, so we ordered one red curry sauce with white rice, vegetarian soup, and veg spring rolls Then we ordered Thai basil fried rice from the menu. Soup was probably the least favorite and no flavor at all. Spring rolls qas good but little oily. Then we also ordered tea, which is very good. Thai basil we received was the best , full of flavor and right portion. Towards the end, we didn't even leave a grain of fried rice. Thai red curry with rice was very tasty and rich if coconut milk flavored. All in all, we will try this place again and will try bee dishes. Place was a good bit busy and they seemed as unorganized as could be. Looked like opening night. Both patrons and employees seemed confused, many tables sitting there trying to flag down wait staff for attention. After standing for 5-6 minutes we were acknowledged, they needed time to wipe down one of MANY dirty tables, and we were then escorted to a table. We were given waters and then we waited..and waited....for 20 minutes!!! Nothing. Waitstaff buzzing around us, not even looking at us, (including what appeared to be the manager) no one came by to say they'd be with us soon, and we just sat there (with a small child that was hungry nonetheless). After 20 minutes, we slowly got up and walked out wondering if anyone would flag us down to stop. Nope. Walked by a cart still full of dirty dishes right next to 2 tables that were eating for the entire time we were there. Maybe they were short staffed, but we know if we stayed, IF we were ever paid attention to, that food would have taken forever. Saw 3 people complain of wrong orders or the long wait in the last 5 minutes we were there. 2 tips: - Hire more staff or have mgmt jump in more - Don't open if you can't support a 2/3 full restaurant, as its unfair to the people coming, thinking they are going to have a good experience Maybe the food is good, but I don't have a month to wait to find out! read more

Was excited to try Tuk Tuk after reading the reviews. It is in a location that had another Thai restaurant for decades. Same strip mall as Jimmy's BBQ, Nudy's, etc. Ordered the Pork & Holy Basil Stir-fry (Pad Kra Pao), street style, which is "authentically spiced" and if you have not had Thai food in Thailand, you might also find it a bit sour and salty but this is normal. The authentic spice level may be too much for the average American palate but if you can handle the heat and the flavor punches, go for it - it was the closest to the Pad Kra Pao I had in the streets of Bangkok. Comes with a fried egg with crispy edges and a runny yolk. My only minor complaint was that part of the rice seems a bit dry as though it had been plated a while. The dish would have been a 10/10 if the rice was a bit or moist or if I went for the sticky rice. Also got the Phuket crab curry to go. Did not see this on the menu (might be on there) but remembered it from a review. Did not disappoint and you can tell that the curry paste was homemade by the kernels of ground toasted coriander and other spices you will find in the curry. They used generous amounts of jumbo lump crab meat but next time I might try a protein that can stand up to the bold curry and enjoy the sea-sweet crab in another preparation. Haven't had good Thai in ages, so decided to try this little place in Malvern. The decor is gorgeous, a big surprise given the unassuming strip mall interior. I was really happy to see "street style" pad ka prow (minced chicken basil stir fry) which I haven't seen in years. Taste was completely perfect and I really enjoyed it. My wife got yum nua (beef salad) and was slightly unhappy with it because the dressing went pretty heavy on tamarind and she's more accustomed to just lime juice. What a find! We were in town for a hockey tournament and used Apple Maps to locate a Thai restaurant along our route to a game. I have dined in many places, and this was a true find. They were very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to communicate with us and address all our needs.
