I happened to spot this coffee shop after getting gas nearby. I got house coffee, tasted fresh, just perfect at 3:30 PM, and a gorgeous blueberry fritter, made daily by a small local donut supplier. The gentleman that served me was warm and friendly. I love this place and will return. read more

A friend and I wanted to meet for coffee but we live about 30 miles apart. So Rhonda picked this place, halfway between us, and was I ever glad she did. It was perfect! It was an easy drive from Damascus, and easy to find just off the Milwaukie Expressway. The decor is wonderful, the baristas extremely friendly, and the coffee is great. We chose two cozy and very comfortable chairs by the fireplace, and had a lovely time talking and knitting together. There's a wonderful play area for kids, a wi-fi area with computers already set up, and several areas for several people, or even just one person, to sit quietly and enjoy their drink of choice. I love the idea of the exchange bookshelf, and there are also newspapers available. Rhonda got a blueberry fritter for us to split, and it was terrific. Well, where do I begin? Have been a customer for MANY years, starting back when Mahar had the little stand in the (then) Thriftway parking lot. Fast forward to the Webster location. I have always found the staff extremely professional, friendly, and willling to make almost any drink you would want, all the while smiling. There's always an effort to put the customer first. My lattes are always prepared as I would like. If it doesn't happen to be right, they'll gladly make it again. Trying different flavors has been a fun experience. For those wanting items other than coffee, there are several other drink choices. Also, the book shelf is great---have read and exchanged many novels since it was established. Good selection of magazines, too, while you can sit by the 'fire,' and enjoy quiet visits with friends. Local (free) papers are also available all week. Customers are always greeted with friendly smiles. Come in for a simple celebration, a gathering of friends or just a 'cup of joe,' and you'll be feel good the rest of the day!! read more

I love going here because of the play area. It's not the cleanest play area in the world, but if you are a germ-a-phobe you should probably not take your kids here. I saw crackers spilled on the floor inside the little play house one time I was there, then I came back 2 weeks later and it was still in there. Unless kids spill crackers in there daily, it isnt cleaned very often. The drinks are good, I have gotten coffee there and also a shake. Both tasty. I do have to say that the parking sucks. There aren't many spots out there, and most of them say "Market" and the assholes from the market yell at you if you park there. So just so you know, don't park in the Market spots unless you are going to the market. But don't go to the market because those assholes don't deserve your business. lol. read more

OH THANK GOD!!! Finally someone figured out that not all of us can do dairy or soy!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for adding coconut and almond to your milk options...you are WONDERFUL!!! Add to this the play area for the kids, the free wifi and computers that can be used, ice cream, non-coffee drinks and snacks. It is a pretty well rounded coffee shop if I do say so myself. Note though...if you don't like you coffee drinks sweet enough to make your teeth cringe you probably want to ask for half the syrups or sauces. The drinks, otherwise, are FAR FAR too sweet. Honestly, it doesn't much make sense financially for them either...they could do half the syrup, save themselves some money and charge extra to those who want it that sweet. *shrug* But who am I? The reason to go here, as far as I'm concerned, is the children's play area. They have a low-walled off area that contains a playhouse, train table, puppet theater and lots of other toys. There's seating around the outside for parents to sit. There's also a children's table outside for them to drink their child's hot chocolate and snacks. There's also computers/internet access, chairs around somekind of fireplace. The service is friendly, but not real speedy when I've been there, but it hasn't been a problem for me because my toddler was otherwise occupied. I've only had hot chocolate and mochas, which were fine, but I'm much of a coffee drinker. They also seem to have a wide range of milkshakes/ice cream. read more

This coffee shop is a hidden gem! There are comfy chairs and couches through out the cafe, two computers for public use, and an adorable play area for little ones! The menu offers a wide range of coffee and espresso drinks. Today, I tried the Snickers Mocha and WOW! It's delicious! The person at the register and was very friendly. When I told him it was my first time in, he let me know he would make my drink any way I liked it and if it was too sweet or not sweet enough, to let him know! Great customer service!
