Clearly I am not the only one seeking this substitution as most Mexican grocery stores I have visited are out of Estrella, including El Campesino. But since I was there, and I love cooking Mexican food, I had to check out the little market. They have a section with panty items, snacks, produce, veggies and candy. Plus a deli where you can buy meat, cheese and hot items like whole roasted chickens, carnitas by the pound and a variety of salsas. I'm so glad I decided to stop in, I discovered a little gem! Picked up tiny alphabet pasta until they get the stars and a few bags of dry peppers, some spices, and some of the orange/red homemade salsa, the hot one. Soooo good! I'lll definitely come back for the carnitas by the pound so I can make my own tacos at home, easier! and that roasted chicken looked so good!
