(8/27/25) I worked on my laptop while waiting for traffic across the bridge to die down. The whole staff was genuinely hard at work nonstop while it was boiling hot in there. It was a very hot day so it's fine, I'm sure it's not always like that. It didn't bother me too much because I was just sitting the whole time and there were fans to try and keep it decent in there but they were genuinely WORKINGGG like hustlin and bustlin, with a smile on their face, the whole 2.5 hours I was there even with the heat. Don't even deserve one star! These girls are horrible!! I walked in because the car line was wrapped around to 82nd. I ordered my coffee and my bosses coffee. To get my order placed I stood there for five minutes. They were just looking at me. Then I placed my order. When I finally got it my bosses coffee lid was broke and spilled all over my pants and hands. I asked for help. None given accept there's napkins over at the station. Went there no napkins. Then I was patiently waiting. One girl said you need an attitude check. I didn't say a word just waiting for help. Like wow! She was around 5'2 maybe 120 pounds long brown hair. But you never know who I know and I'll never forget that face because sometimes it's all about who you know to get that job you want. read more

Ive been many times, worst Blackrock Ive ever been to. Every single worker here is insufferably slow and dont know how to make a coffee. Ask for half sweet? Double the syrup. Awkward, weird, and have an attitude every time you come up to the window. This place sucks. read more

My boyfriend and I came to order drinks at 7:40 PM and before we even could talk to the lady, she already acted rude and walked away from us as soon as we got to the window then just stayed in the back. Came out 5 minutes later then proceeded to yell at us telling us they closed and that "maybe we should look at the sign before you just pull up". They close at 8. I usually love blackrock, the ones next to my home are amazing. Unfortunately this one inparticular was horrible. WORST customer service. "Baristas" were very rude and immature even making fun of a customer. I wouldn't go here unless you feel like getting bullied. read more

Blond hair working on bar making drinks Someone else took my order - short brownish hair & they repeated the order but got the order completely wrong Season coffee drink - drink special with almond milk sub but unfortunately very obviously made with regular milk and was so watered down ( I'm lactose & now I feel like crap ) And Caramel Blondie with sub, coconut milk, and whip cream to top ... Then I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich ask for hot and it was cold and when I asked for it warm it was very apparent that it was an inconvenience for the barista. The service was sad to say the least. At first I was completely understanding to the situation until the barista (brown colored hair) making the drinks threw a fit; slammed around items, threw my drink on the counter to the barista (blonde colored hair) at the window and turned and glared at me. I totally understand everyone has a bad day, training someone can be extremely frustrating, but to the extent of this woman's behavior was sad to see from an adult. Backstory, the young man taking the order was struggling, couldn't hear me through the speaker box, so I was basically yelling at it trying to take my order, he kept saying the wrong drink, I ordered a blended Blondie with oatmilk and no whip. The drink went from a blondie, to a cocoa, to a blondie with coconut milk, to just adding cocoa to the blondie. Which was all fine, patience was had as he said he was struggling, but there was a line, so I just couldn't order at the actual window. Finally, after several attempts, I thought we finally nailed the order and was told to pull forward, see you at the window. Upon my turn, they handed me the drink, blondie with coconut milk, to which, I was like, oh no, that's supposed to be a blondie with oatmilk. The gal at the window, was slightly rude, but I tried to explain the situation to lighten the frustrations, even though they weren't my doing and was cut off with a shortness. Again, okay that's fine, won't take it personally but then comes the barista making the drink and the above happened. Very unpleasant, and unprofessional. Honestly shocked by it. read more

Staff is always so kind and attentive. Drinks are pricey but well made to order just the way I like them.

If you're in a pinch and need a coffee, it's an ok spot to grab one to go. The employees were very nice and the place was cute, but it wasn't amazing or anything. read more

I only go to black rock I don't want to drive to far. Black rock is right the street from me. I will not go back to the Happy Valley location on SE Sunnyside. The girl taking my order I asked for specific add on to my fuel. I ordered extra thick in the clouds with whipped parfait. She doesn't know what extra thick means. The drink comes out of a slushy machine. There is no coconut flavor, no sweet cream and she stirred the whipped cream parfait into the drink! I wasted my free drink. read more

I'm a regular at this black rock.. probably the best service I've had at a coffee place. They are always efficient as possible and have great customer service. I often go through the drive thru, but I've been inside a couple times and the vibe they have is super chill and it's very welcoming and cozy. All of the workers I've met here have been awesome ! My drinks are always made perfect and they are consistent on taste. Definitely recommend ! read more

Coffee is awesome, not bitter, and the right balance of sweeteness for most drinks. My only issue is that I've gone multiple times after ordering in the app, but something on my order wasn't in stock when I arrived. This last time, I saw her processing my refund for the item, but for some reason, it didn't go through. This location has seating inside that has been tidy every time I've gone. Having been to Black Rock on several occasions (not a coffee drinker here) and having been underwhelmed with my Iced Tea each time, I have to say that this establishment is not high on my rotation. I would say that it falls into the "no other options" category. Iced tea is super cheap to make and essentially all profit for the business, I would like to think they can offer a bigger size and more Tea to go with the ice. I waited 15-20 minutes in a long line, got to window and the barista ignored me. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a coffee shop. I left the window after 5 minutes of being ignored. This Black Rock has inside seating including some comfy chairs! ( on the west side so far they're all drive ups). I love Black Rock. Because: delicious espresso drinks punch cards fast friendly baristas My out of town family liked their mochas a lot. My Omaha cousin had TWO mochas. How this place has anything less than a 5 star rating is beyond me. The coffee and food has been spot-on every time I've gone. But more importantly, every single staff member finds a way to start my day off in the best way. They all ask you about your day, what you have planned, they even got suuuuper excited when I told them I was getting a dog of my own. This is literally my favorite of all coffee stands and of all of black rock's coffee stands. I love the almond poppy seed, seriously problematic it's so good. I love the caramel blondie, just amazing. The best part of black rock in general, but specifically this location, are the people who work there. I know all coffee baristas are supposed to be friendly, but seriously, my interactions with them have been so authentic and heartwarming. They seem to genuinely enjoy their job, which is pretty admirable. read more

The 2 stars are for the upbeat and friendly staff. But if you want to feel like you're in a concert with music blasting so loud that you need ear plugs and only have a small selection of beverages than what is posted then this is not the place for you. I was looking for a place to do some class work and sip on a coffee, but it was impossible to concentrate with the yelling and impromptu karaoke with the blasting music. I also had asked for their chai...they were out at 11 in the morning. So I asked for cold brew....also out. So settled for a regular iced coffee. Also no soap in the bathroom which my husband told one of the staff and in the hour that we stayed and I tried to focus it was not refilled. So we have never been to a Black Rock and wasn't sure what to expect. The menu was right next to where you order...with the length of the line, it would have been nice to have a menu posted where we could review it before ordering. But what gave this review less than a five star was the person working there. Is there no dress code of any kind? She was wearing low riding yoga pants and a crop top and her belly button piercing was just right at car level, so it was kind of hard to miss. I never thought of myself as a prude, but maybe I am? I just thought that was a lot of skin to show at a drive up window. So I won't be going back. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. My barista was a younger girl with thin black hair and braces. Her customer service was incredibly disappointing. She shoved the payment iPad in my face when I asked what flavors she had, then she shoved the drinks out the window in my face instead of handing it to me. During this interaction she was talking to her coworker about "why they got fired from Dutch bros". Both drinks were super watered down and virtually transparent. Not coming to this location again. I know people have bad days but it's still expected to have a mild sense of professionalism. read more

Really enjoy these kids there great only 2 improvements I can add is management needs to put more lighting on building very dark especially in drive through I almost got hit twice because I'm a walk up would love to see more light on window side. Haven't had a bad experience yet. They are always friendly and efficient. I've gone inside where there is a fire place on during winter months and done the drive through. Which ever I choose it is always good service and smiles all around. read more

Be cautious of how much they charge you for your drinks when paying with a card!! I checked my bank today after visiting here yesterday, and saw that the barista gave themselves a tip that I did not enter. It's not enough to go back and argue with them over, but it makes me wonder how many other people they have done this to. read more

This little coffee place is a new find for our family and we love it. The servers are so kind and social. My favorite is the Carmel Blondie. I stopped going Starbucks for political reasons and never patronized Dutch Brothers ( not giving them the opportunity to judge me with a straw), so what a relief to find this great coffee place. read more
