Very disappointed. I ordered a breakfast burrito-egg and cheese, no meat. (I am a vegetarian and haven't had meat in years) When I got back to my hotel, I realized there was bacon and took it back. They gave me a replacement burrito and assured me this one would be right. When I opened it up- more bacon! I don't know how a restaurant could be so careless when taking care of their customers. I had to go through all that hassle to end up with no breakfast. Please be more careful, Mocha Motts! There has been lawsuits over this! 2 stars because their bagels are average. read more

Man, I love this place. My go-to coffee spot every time I'm on the Vineyard. I'm sort of a coffee snob, and live in the Bay Area where the coffee is REALLY good, and I always look forward to enjoying Mocha Motts :-) I specifically don't bring or buy coffee so I can come here every morning - the line is always long for a reason. Although skeptical about entering the coffee shop, my sister convinced me that it would be good, and said she would buy, so naturally i caved. when entering the cafe, i found myself instantly comfortable and welcomed, and although i encountered a small wait, as usual on the island, i was in no rush, and it was great to know that they were taking the time to make my iced mocha right. the mocha was delicious, and i even snagged some free stickers on my way out the door. i will definitely be going back, and giving a much larger tip. read more

This is the best coffee that Martha's Vineyard has to offer. The bagels are delicious, the coffee was satisfying....however this place isn't better than Starbucks when it comes to beverage menu choices, the taste and quality of their beverages. Best coffee on MV by far. They change up the blends fairly often. Great service. Even when the line gets longer, the staff really pumps out the coffee. If this place was off island, I'd develop a large addiction. Why go to the national place around the corner when you can get far better coffee here? read more

For a coffee shop this busy, I was expecting somewhat decent coffee. Nope...my iced coffee was extremely acidic! Maybe if you are used to using heavy cream and sugar you won't notice much. The air conditioning was also very weak (almost non-existent) unless you sit right below the AC unit. Won't be coming back. read more

With all the chain coffee shops out there, most of them fall by the way side and have poor quality and are very inconsistent. Mocha Motts serves the best mocha latte I have ever had (and I've tried a lot). Fun and eclectic atmosphere makes everyone chill and relaxed. Stop in here if you want coffee with an attitude! The barista had no patience with me when trying to order. So I am a tourist, so were many others, and I was trying to understand the menu and how to order. Expensive and not worth the hype or effort in my opinion. Was over on the Vineyard for New Years, having just left Pie in the Sky in Woods Hole. After walking around for about an hour, I needed a coffee in the worst way & lo & behold, Mocha Motts was open! Had a nice cup of Dean's Beans & one of their homemade raspberry bars & it really hit the spot. As I looked around, I could see that this place gets heavy action come summer, I was just glad to hit the off season & be able to enjoy this shop without the summer heat. read more

We stopped in after reading Yelp reviews, looking for coffee and a treat between lunch and dinner, it's off season but still had a steady stream of people coming in. The girl working was friendly and welcoming. There wasn't much to choose from at this time not sure about earlier in the day, we chose hot chocolate and cappuccino cookie muffin and shortbread, everything was ok, nothing spectacular. A few tables to sit at. Small and cozy. Its disappointing if this is the best coffee house on the island. Will try out other spots. read more

MY favorite coffee spot on the island. Every year I go here at least 3-4 times during the week. Iced coffee is perfect. My favorite is the breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon. Delicious! The bagels are also really good. Can't wait to go this year! read more

right on main street in vineyard haven, mocha motts is a small coffee shop that advertizes 'good coffee' right on the sign outside. since i am incredibly addicted to dunkin donuts iced coffee, i figured id give this place a try. a few tables when you first walk in and a big pastry case on the right with everything from breakfast bars, bagels, and even a few lunch items. it wasnt busy when i went there, but you can tell it gets a lot of business, especially during the summer months. the iced mocha was delicious, just enough chocolate and the coffee was fantastic. i have been back 3 times since! read more

Motts is THE go to stop anytime of the day and there's two locations on the island! Quick service, a few spots to sit, community bulletin features local offerings. Artists feature/sell their work on the walls. It can be tough to get a bagel after the breakfast rush, they are shipped daily from Cape Cod Bagel in Falmouth. CASH ONLY. I'm not a coffee drinker but I love the brand of chai they use, and their mouth savoring sausage, egg and cheese burrito with salsa (served only for breakfast). Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts both have better coffee by far, but given the fact that those are not options on the island, Mocha Mott's is an okay alternative. read more

Have been to Mocha Mott's numerous times over the years - very casual, but good coffee. I tended to gravitate here on hotter days in the afternoon when a cold latte was on the agenda. The location is convenient, the service is quick so no real complaints. Having said that, I find myself heading to Beetlebung for my daily morning caffeine fix before consciously thinking about the choice - I think they serve a better latte ... but it is marginal. read more

mocha mott's brews an amazing cup of coffee, whether you visit the main street, VH, outlet or the one on circuit ave in OB. they have a loyal staff who are as unique as their menu. they serve everything from the standards - hot and iced coffee in the typical flavors - to stuff more exotic - herba matte from south america, which i love to drink and can't find in many places. read more
