Pro-tip: There's a kiosk where you can place your order instead of waiting in line. Highlights: Lots of options for flavors including traditional and Asian. The mochi donut itself is very soft and chewy. There was no wait when we went. Lowlights: Maybe it's because I'm in my 30s now, but I found the frosting to be way too sweet. I had to scrape off almost all of it to eat. I still think it's weird there's no option to buy just one, you have to either get a drink and one donut or you have to get a box of three.
"More than just a donut," as Mochinut claims to be. I couldn't agree more with their tagline. What truly sets Mochinut apart is the chewy texture and light, fluffy interior, which comes from using rice flour in their dough. Their donuts have a signature shape, which are eight small, round dough balls that are connected together to form a circle. Having visited a couple of times, my favorites are the Matcha, Chocolate, and Choco Funnel Cake flavors. There are so many flavors to choose from that I want to try other flavors the next time I visit. Every bite was so satisfying for my sweet tooth. In addition to their yummy donuts, Mochinut also serves rice hotdogs, milk teas, and a variety of flavored drinks, which make the perfect pairing with their mochinut donuts. You can find Mochinut in four locations across Arizona: Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, and Peoria. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by.
This Mochinut is located inside Chandler's 99 Ranch Market at the front of the store. I'm usually not a big donut guy, but I do enjoy Mochinut. I usually get one of their 3-packs to go. They have a variety of unique flavors at Mochinut that rotate daily. Strawberry Funnel, Ube, Churro, Mango and Matcha are just a few fun flavors that they offer. This fusion of donuts and mochi makes them chewy on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. The donuts themselves are shaped like a baby teething ring. Kiddo has been asking about a hot Cheetos corn dog. The service was fast and friendly. It's in the food court of 99 Ranch, so there's plenty of parking. Standard food court atmosphere. I didn't think it would be very good, but if you like hot Cheetos and corn dogs, you get the best of both worlds. They also have donuts but we just bought a ton of pastries at 85C so we didn't purchase any donuts. Definitely will be back next time we are in the area.
Stopped by wanting to try one and to my surprise they were not sold individually, the smallest order you can get consists of 3. We had one matcha, one funnel cake, and one strawberry. The matcha didn't taste like matcha. It tasted more like it was just regular frosting mixed with some green food coloring. I took a bite of the strawberry one and it had an overpowering taste of "fried" and it was dry. Not good. I didn't try the funnel cake one, but my friend said it was way too sweet. She said she'd rather have a regular powdered donut. The employee didn't greet us nor say anything but our total. I think she was shy.... Paid about $10 for the box of three. The pink box they are put in is super cute and the presentation is adorable! This is a pass for me though.
Yeah.. Finally found local mochi donut place. Drove 25 mins to get some mochi donut . I've only had them in Vegas last two times. I don't know what they do different at this location but man.... They are so yummy and chewy.. They are the best of the 3 I've been to. Only downfall is the price.. Dang $30 for dozen.. Oh well.. They are yummy.

Am I the only one who thinks these doughnuts look like a baby's teething ring? Mochi doughnut is a doughnut that originated from Hawaii that is a combination of American doughnuts and Japanese mochi. Mochinut is gaining popularity owed to its unique shape and wonderful bouncy texture. It's crispy on the outside with a soft chewy inside. They're great. It's great. After having one, you'll feel great! I stopped by this 99 Ranch Market location on Friday, January 20th, for their soft opening. I got three doughnuts: ube, this one with a Korean cookie, and Fruity Pebbles. They were as delicious as the other Tempe location so. no complaints here. I was bummed when they told me the wait for the Korean dogs were "quite a wait" when I tried to order one. Oh well. Maybe next time!

Swung by here after grabbing groceries at Ranch 99. It's gonna be tempting every time I go shopping! They had a lot of flavors of donuts available on Saturday morning - I think maybe like 6-8 flavors? 3 donuts were $9. Not sure if they sell them singularly but will probably do that next time bc 3 is a lot for 1 person lol. We also ordered a corndog. They said it was about a 10m wait which was fine with me. Ate everything at home, although you can eat there was well as there are several tables available to eat at. The corndog was as expected and yummy. The donuts were unfortunately a bit heavier than expected - they didn't taste like the ones I've had in Asia! The oil taste was a lot stronger. It was a bit too sweet as well. Got black sesame, cookie, and blueberry flavors. Considered matcha but the color looked like the matcha flavor was not strong. Unfortunately black sesame was not strong either. Will probably return whenever craving Korean corndogs, maybe will return for the donuts if I'm craving something extra sweet.
Go nuts for Mochinut! I came here today for their soft opening. Having been to the Tempe location, I already knew the drill. For those who haven't had mochi doughnuts, imagine the decadence of a doughnut with the bouncy of Japanese mochi. It's a textural dream. I enjoy the crisp exterior and chewy interior. Thank you, Hawaii, for this great combination and dessert! I was slightly disappointed when I was told it would be "a long wait" if I wanted a Korean corndog. What does that mean? 10 minutes? 20? 30? Nonetheless, it made me change my mind. :( Mochinut is a solid place and makes for a great gift to bring to friends and family. It's a good location as you can grab-and-go after grocery shopping.
It is a small shop inside 99 Ranch Supermarket. I was craving some mochi donut, and stumbled upon this shop. At first glance, the donuts look very pretty. I got a box of 6, and they were very delicious, but a little bit too sweet for me. As for the service, it was pretty fast as they just need to ring me up and grab the mochi donuts.
Some co-workers and I swung in Ranch Market to check out Mochinut. It's in a stall immediately to your right when you walk in the entrance. Can't miss it. The donuts are firm on the outside and hold their fun shape well, but are soft and chewy on the inside. Idk what magic they use to create that mochi dough, but it creates a great texture and flavor. The ube donuts had a taro flavor and the glaze was rather sweet (my favorite). My wife loved the chocolate churro the best. The Oreo cookie one was good, and not quite as sweet as the taro. Only complaint I can come up with is the price. These treats are on the pricey side so we aren't gonna be replacing bosa with them yet, but as an indulgence, you have to try these.
Sorry Mochinut...it's a Pass... It's a, Pass me another Ring of chewy deliciousness!! Thats what it is! These 8 interconnected balls of mochi donut have me hooked! Is it a donut or a mochi!?! Eating another one now trying to make sure. I'll take one for the team sacrificing my body. ;) Yummm And as if thats not evil enough, they have between 6-10 different flavors plus more to keep you busy wanting more! Yay! Contrary to popular belief, the "pon de Ring" (the 8 ball ring shape) was invented and first sold in Japan. But you can get them here! Service depends on the time of day. I won't tell you when because then you'll all show up and take my bracelets! Ok there, I said it. I wear and chew politely. Presentation boxes are cute and worthy of mention. The donuts are really good, and my kids absolutely love them . The mochi texture is soft and chewy, very enjoyable. The only small thing that made me feel a little unsure was during checkout. The employee was wearing gloves while handling the donuts, which I appreciate. However, she used the same gloves to touch cash and coins when ringing up my order, and then continued to use those gloves to handle donuts for the next customers without changing them. It's just a small detail, but it would make a big difference if gloves were changed after handling money. That way, customers can feel more comfortable and confident. And if the employee can be a little bit more friendly that will be great Overall, the donuts are tasty and family approved With a little more attention to hygiene, this place would be even better. read more

Located inside Ranch 99 on the North/East corner of Chandler Blvd and Dobson Road in the food court is a new location for Mochinut which is a royal merger between the american donut and Japanese mochi, clearly a case of 1+1 is greater than 2. Originating in Hawaii they have spread to Arizona and this is the newest location. Beyond a range of donuts, which if it is like the Tempe location, changes its creative flavor options weekly, they also offer Korean-style corn dogs for those who prefer more savory foods. Official opening is Friday January 20th, they were training staff on a rainy MLK Day so were offering samples of which I was able to snag one of the last of the day! read more

We were at 99 ranch for some grocery shopping and saw this place opened up. I am always up for some boba tea and just went right in. The menu is amazing and super simple. 3 items and different flavors for those items. Their main menu is boba, mochi donut and rice hotdog. The mochi donut for 3 pieces is $9 and the drink comes in one size ranging from $5.50-$6.00. We went with duo churros, chocolate and funnel cake flavors for mochi donut. I went with milk tea for the boba drink. Only downside on the drink is its premade and the sugar can't be adjusted which is definitely a drawback. The Mochi donut was fresh and amazing. It was gulped in no time. The boba tea was fantastic, perfectly blended not very sweet and it was given in a plastic tin, the opening like soda is so cool. One thing I didn't like was the boba, it was a little soggy like it was in the tea for long. The service was alright, there are no napkis or cutlery provided if you want to sit and eat. Otherwise this is going to be my pit stop every week. Next up, those yummy rice hotdogs for sure. read more
Came to this mochinut location since it was close by. Now we've been to a mochinut before and we love the airy soft donut that you easily devour in a bite. However I only got three mochi donuts here and I'm glad I did because they did disappoint. My husband and I both tried them and they were a little extra chewy almost as if they didn't properly get cooked/baked. They also tasted greasy which has not been an experience we've had before. All in all we were disappointed with the quality and probably will go to our usual location from now on. read more
This is not your typical donut stand. If you're looking for traditional donuts, you can find plenty of those across the valley. Mochinut is where you go for a unique flavor, chewy (mochi) consistency, and something I consider shareable. I got 3 of their mochinut donuts, the Churro, Ube, and Straberry. All of them have a reason to love them, and I will likely get these three flavors every time. Next time I'll just have to get a half dozen instead of just 3.... read more
I've been wanting to try this new place! I finally did. This is inside 99 ranch market. I needed a few items at the supermarket so why not try Mochinut since I've been wondering if it was any good. I had the 3 Mochinuts for $9 and thai tea without the boba... I chose the flavors matcha, strawberry, and mango... I felt that all of them were too sweet for my taste.. The Thai tea was really good! Very different from the other Thai teas I've had in the past... I might have to try other flavors of their Mochinut. The ones I got today didn't wow me.. The cashier was super nice and friendly.. I love that she greeted me and had a smile on her face... I'll be back to try other drinks and mochinuts next time.. hopefully the others aren't too sweet. read more

What can I say..... YUMM I had absolutely no expectations since I have never tasted Korean Doughnuts before. The presentation is beautiful, they almost look to nice to eat. I wanted to frame them. They were so delicious. The dough is chewy but in a good way. They are soft and sweet enough. I tastes the Strawberry, Cinnamon and Cookies and Cream. The Cinnamon was my favorite only because it was the less sweet of the 3. Not to say they others were bad because they were just so good. I do recommend you go in and try a few. I will be coming back to taste the Mango and Mochi. read more

Ordered Takis corn dog, got a red hot Cheeto like corn dog. Went back to the lady at the front and she insist there's nothing she can do as they have 2 kinds of Takis. It's not an option on the menu or being asked during the process of ordering. Refuse on correcting the order and shook her shoulder saying nothing she can do. Wow, there's a huge room for improvement on customer service. The corn dog is greasy and very heavy on dough. read more

I am obsessed with Mochinut donuts.. they are tasty and always consistent in my experience. So, my rating is mostly weighed against my love with these.. If you live in the Gilbert or Chandler area, this location is fabulous because you don't have to drive all the way up to Tempe to get your craving in! This Mochinut specifically is located inside of the 99 Ranch Market and is food court style. They offer tons of flavors and it's quick and easy to checkout! In terms of ambiance and service as I said - it's food court style so can't really expect much. That being said.. still love their donuts and will continue to frequent this location for the deliciousness! The staff working are always friendly and answer my questions around the rotating flavors. read more

My most favorite donut spot! Located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch Market in Chandler. Came in for the Yelp Elite event to pick up my 3 free donuts, but ordered more cause I had to try all of the yummy flavors they have. My favorite of course is Ube, but the Oreo flavored surprised me! Now I can grocery shop, pick up some donut snacks, and even stop in for lunch at one of the yummy restaurants nearby. If you haven't had the chance to try Mochinut, I highly recommend heading out soon to give them a try! read more

This location is inside 99 Ranch just as you enter it's on your right side. Mochi donuts are just on other level of pillowy soft texture that melts into your mouth. I was really hoping for matcha flavored but they didn't had it on Sunday. The drinks are so good and you have to try UBE and Matcha boba tea!! We have been to this location multiple times now since their initial opening and service has improved significantly and the wait time is not very long anymore!! read more

I have a sweet tooth but their mochinut is just too sweet even for me. I ordered 3 different flavors but I can hardly tell the difference between them (especially the ube). It's just powdery, the use of artificial flavor can't even save these mochinut. read more

The shop is inside of Ranch99 market. Glad we have Mochinut shop in Chandler since the one in Tempe is too far for us. Fast service, mochi donuts were fresh, and they always have variety of flavors to choose from. Definitely will come back. read more
