My husband and I went to try this place out. His parents had mentioned it to us. They offer mochi donuts that come in 3 packs, 6 packs, and a dozen. I asked if a person can buy them individually as well, and the answer was yes. We got a 6 pack in which we chose 2 flavors for each person (2 for him, 2 for me, and 2 for our little one who was still at school) I had hoped to get a matcha flavored donut to add to our order, but decided to wait. The donuts were okay. They also offer boba milk teas of varying flavors, macarons with cheesecake or ice cream, and more savory items such as rice or potato covered hot dogs, and cheese sticks. Stopped by Mochinut donut in the morning , but the shop does not open until 11 AM. So this will not be a early morning treat. The Mochi donuts are great and these are no different. Light, fluffy, not overly sweet with that distinctive mochi chew. Bought a dozen of all flavors available. Enjoyed every flavor. This shop also sells the Korean style hotdogs on a stick. I bought a ramen covered hot dog, deep fried like a corn dog and a 1/2 mozzarella & 1/2 dog covered in potato cubes and deep fried. The hot dog is a good quality dog with a lot of flavor and a nice snap when you bite into it. The outer covering (Ramen or potato) adds a nice crunch element but not a lot of flavor. Add a condiment for more flavor. All in all it was a fun food experience. Nice to have a place to buy Mochi donuts close by. FYI...If you buy a Hotdog it takes 15 minutes to make. Woooow I remember when mochi donuts just started trending in the US-- now these puffy little colorful guys are everywhere! Looks like I don't have to go back to Mister Donut in Taiwan to get my mochi donut fix anymore. This is located in a back corner of Sutter Plaza, next to the laundromat. A bit hard to find at first... I recommend just parking anywhere in the plaza and walking over. The interior is cute, pretty minimal with a neon light on one wall, and plastic (resin?) donuts on the next. Kinda smells like cleaning fluid everywhere tho. Staff are always warm and bubbly, happy to answer questions~ This location sells both mochi donuts and Korean corn dogs, along with macaron cheesecake bites in a freezer next to the door. Don't let the donut display case fool you-- you can place an order for any of their listed flavors, and they'll make it fresh! First time there, place is very clean, and there are tables and chairs for eating/drinking inside. Cashier is friendly and helpful with answering questions. We ordered 2 bubble milk teas and 3 mochi donuts. Bubble tea tasted ok, not bad. The mochi donuts are better than some other places. Inside of the mochi donuts are solid not hollow like others. I was super excited for this place to open up so close to me. Came in on a Sunday and fortunately there were only a few people in line. I asked the person at the register how long it would take for a cheese stick, he pointed to the sign and said about 10 min. I asked if he thought drinks iwould come out before the food and he said yes. So I decided to get three mochi donuts: churro, strawberry and ube. All 3 were good with churro being my fave of the 3. Also ordered a couple drinks 'cause these canlike tops are just too cute. Only downside was the sweetness and ice. I typically adjust those but unfortunately here you don't have that option too. Original, hot Cheetos and potato they were all delicious and I loved the crunchy exterior but the original was surprisingly my favorite. I also got 6 mochi donuts and all of them were fluffy and chewy but the blueberry was the best. They have a self ordering kiosk but the order takes around 15-20 minutes to make. Today you receive a free churro mochi donut with any purchase. Their Grand Opening is on September 10, 2022. There is a parking lot but depending on when you arrive, spaces may be limited. We stopped by before noon so we found parking quickly. Mochinut is a cute shop that serves mochi donuts, boba, and Korean rice flour hot dogs. Try unique flavors such as crispy ramen, potato, and Hot Cheetos. Dipping sauces include Sriracha mayo, mango habanero, sweet red chili, and traditional mustard and ketchup. The hot dogs are fun to eat and are a great snack. Order the Potato Half & Half. Half melty mozzarella cheese, half hot dog! And the potato cubes are nice and crispy! The packaging here is way too stinkin' cute! The custom hot dog boxes, the clever tall boba containers that mimic soda cans with the classic aluminum tabs, and whimsical mochi donut boxes with donut hole cutouts. And then there is the LED decor- great backdrops for your foodie pics! We were going to skip ordering boba today since we enjoyed some elsewhere the other night. But we were here already, so why not? Ube was our flavor of choice. It wasn't the best I've ever had but the boba was soft and chewy. That darn cute packaging got me good! Haha Now for the mochi donuts. They definitely have a pillowy soft and chewy interior which is incredible. Presentation is also lovely. Mochinut is more mild and delicate. Gimme flavor! If you say Ube, it needs to taste like Ube. This was just sweet. Our least favorite. If I closed my eyes, I would have no clue what flavor this was. However, Churro, Raspberry Funnel Cake, and Cookies & Cream lived up to their names. I love Mochill Mochi Donuts in SF, and I was excited to hear we have one in the Concord area. There is a small parking lot to park your car, and we were lucky to snag a spot right in front. It's spacious inside with a few tables, nook, and chairs beside the counter/cashier. There's a display of donuts and you can pay the cashier after picking out your donuts or ordering your corn dogs. We haven't tried the corn dogs yet, but the mochi donuts were yummy! We loved the matcha green tea mochi donut and the ube flavors. I went on there grand opening Saturday the 10th - the line was long but went by quickly! Soon as you get to the front to order it's kiosk style, place your order, grab your receipt and wait. I ordered 6 mochi donuts. One milk tea. I ordered matcha, funnel cake, original, cookies&creme and coffee and maple. I had to wait a bit longer for the maple to be done so I opted out of that one and got churro instead. Out of all of these my favorites were the original, churro and matcha. Everything here is decent and unique, the reason I deducted a star is because (1) you can't customize the drinks (ice or sugar level) (2) you have to order the Mochi donuts in quantities of 3, 6 or 12. We came in during their soft opening on a Friday night and it was busy. We didn't know you could self order so we were waiting for a while in a line for someone to take our order. I'm not sure if it was the customers in front of us that didn't know what they wanted or if the worker didn't know what they were doing. Regardless, this place definitely has some operational kinks to workout. There was one person on the register and another person calling out orders and another that kept standing there looking at the same orders trying to rearrange them somehow. Anywho, they didn't have any Mochi donuts when we went. This was kind of weird considering it's their main thing. They also have Korean hot dogs but didn't get any of those. That looked like what a lot of people were getting. Got their buy 1 get 1 free boba milk teas. I got the jasmine and regular milk tea. Both were super sweet and didn't really have distinct flavors. The boba wasn't bad but I'm still a fan in Teaspoon boba. Bottom line: Already planning my next order. I had these delivered and the corn dogs came in a nice box that kept them separate and safe. I've had other Korean corn dogs in the area and so far this is my favorite. I ordered Hot Cheetos Mozzarella and the crust was SO GOOD and the Potato Original was also crisp and well seasoned. The actual sausage was flavorful and juicy. If i ordered again I would get Hot Cheetos Half & Half. Potato Original was delicious by itself but tasted great with the Sweet Chili sauce, Hot Cheetos Mozzarella didn't need extra seasoning. I would definitely makes sure I'm eating at the table for these, the mozzarella sticks are very messy in the best way possible. Seems like they constantly change their flavors and toppings so if you're looking to constantly come here for specific flavors, you may have to check back in another time. The donuts can be a tad bit sweet so just be wary of that. The potato corn dog was suuuuper good, especially with the sriracha Mayo, though you will feel heavy and a bit greasy post eating. I recommend sharing the dogs with someone, they also have different flavors and you're able to get all cheese or all hot dog as well (definitely recommend getting the cheese one though).
