Matcha
Rachel C.

We wanted to try this new place in Zona Rosa. We ordered donuts to share. A few mozzarella sticks and a hot dog. A matcha, Tiger Tea and a Mango drink. Let's just say my kids were happier with their items than I was. I've made better Matcha's at home. The donuts were ok, kind of unassuming. Tiny dining space with several small tables smashed everyone together. Took a long time to get our food. The owner seemed super nice, but unfortunately at this point, I had wrote this place off. I'm sure my kids will want to go again, I'd most likely get it to go and hope for better luck.

Incredible Food, welcoming Staff! Everything is house made and is delecious. The cordogs are fried to order, the Mochinuts are unique and delicious.

My neice and I were out for our annual auntie day out and decided to try this place out. The ambiance is super cute inside. The bright colors and whimsical designs are kid friendly. I had the Dubai chocolate and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet. The pistachio crème was delicious as well. My niece enjoyed her hot Cheeto stick. It was filled with cheese. The young lady at the register was kind and gave us feedback on our selections.

Everything was so good and soft! I tried the taro (the lovely purple one), the matcha (the vibrant green), and the original with sprinkles. I also enjoyed the chocolate with sprinkles, strawberry rock, and red velvet. Yum! They had a deal of buy 5 get 1 free

This is something different! Delicious donuts with a consistency and taste that is outstanding. The mozzarella potato corndog was also yummy, perfectly cooked and very filling. We also tried the Vietnamese coffee and it was great. Fun place to eat!

Love love love!!! We finally have Mochinut in KCMO! Kind owners and staff. Went here for the mochi donuts and they were made in house and fresh. So airy, light and tasty. We tried the matcha, original, and mango. Also we tried the hot Cheetos half cheese and half beef hot dog, potatoes and ramen corn dog. All was delicious. Space is inviting and plenty of room to sit and enjoy. We also got the matcha boba tea. Some of the softest pearls we ever had when it's made fresh. We could come again and recommend to friends and family.

From the moment I walked in, the sweet aroma of freshly made donuts filled the air, and I knew I was in for a treat. The mochi donuts are soft, chewy, and perfectly sweet, with just the right amount of flavor in each bite. They have such a fun variety of unique flavors that I couldn't stop myself from trying a few different ones - HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE UBE!!!! The staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a warm donut with some boba. Honestly, I've never had anything quite like these donuts before, and I'll definitely be coming back again and again. If you love mochi or donuts (or both!), do yourself a favor and try this place - you won't regret it! Next time I plan to try the Korean hot dogs! Please give this place a try and support local business!

Everything is so good! They are still in their soft opening, so they don't have their full mochi donuts menu until January but go try them out!! The donuts come out fresh constantly, and the Korean corn dog is made to order. They have boba as well, and a variety of dipping sauce for your corn dogs. Their donuts are perfect for sharing, you can just pop a piece off. The donuts are crunchy outside and have a chewy soft inside, and every one I tried was delicious! Angelo and Ahram are super kind and they have been out greeting customers and friends coming by to support the business. They're already super business and haven't even done their grand opening, which is a GREAT sign for any new business to give it a try! The inside is super cute and their are a ton of tables to sit.

The mochi donuts were amazing! Delicious and melt in your mouth soft. I got a mango tea with mango popping boba. The flavor was too strong for my taste, but I really like the drink cup. I'll try a different flavor next time. They had no chocolate flavored drinks, so my child didn't get a drink but loved the mochi donut. The seating area was ok but felt cramped as I don't like sitting next to people that are waiting in line.

Fast service! Great tasting food & mochinuts. Tried the Soy Garlic Katsu Chicken Sando, YUMM!!! The fries were seasoned well! I also tried a strawberry mochinut & matcha ice cream they recently debuted hand wisked matcha and it was tasty! I want to go back and try the corndogs. Cute spot to stop through when in Zona Rosa!

Inside the Restaurant

If you haven't had Mochinut, it's a must try! The Tapioca Flour makes these donuts so soft, chewy, and crispy on the outside in the best way. I will say a couple of mine were stale compared to the other Mochinut restaurants I've been to, but I would still come back! I do highly recommend the Tiger Milk Boba Tea if you want a sweet drink

Our guests were so pleased. I've never loved a dog so much!! Also, having a vegetarian husband didn't go over well with most of the caterers we talked to. However, when we made the request, they were happy to come up with a custom "dog" with veggies, black beans and sriracha... it was so great. YUM! It was good and well balanced for a vegetarian. They were friendly, easy to work with and the food was DELISH! We love you Brock Hops!!! If you have planned a wedding, you know there are many details to work out so each vendor can make it easy or they can make things harder... Thanks for adding value to our weekend wedding. Definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed!

Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and our food came out quickly. I ordered a turkey club while my dad got one as well, and unfortunately we both had the same issue. The turkey was on the dry side, and it was sliced much thicker than I personally prefer. I tend to like a thinner deli-style sliced turkey, so it just wasn't my favorite sandwich. My mom ordered one of the salads though, and honestly it looked better than my sandwich. It was loaded with fresh toppings, and she said the ranch was excellent. If I come back, I'd probably skip the sandwich altogether and give one of the salads a try. Overall, I can definitely appreciate what they're going for. The prices are fantastic, honestly unheard of in present day, and that's the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. It's a true local spot, and I wouldn't mind giving it another chance to try something different from the menu.

My other kiddo enjoyed her burger. And hubby ate all of his wings-self explanatory. Will we be back? Definitely! Should I have ordered a pizza to go? Yes! Did I? No, am wish I had! Gratuity is already added-not sure if this a permanent thing or World Cup thing...but we tipped extra for the great service.

Without question, this is the best pizza joint/spot in the Crossroads. Whether you are just getting…read morea slice or a full pie, you have a zillion options and all of them are good choices. But they don't just do pizza, there is an array of sandwiches, burgers, and of course their famous wings (beware of the Death Wings, like, REALLY beware). The kitchen is pretty much right in front of you and pies are getting slung constantly. That Rockin' Red sauce has that rich tomato base and it goes perfectly with that toasted crust flavor that only a pizza oven can provide. Toppings are seemingly anything (I'm a sucker for fresh mozz & meatballs) and while one slice is enough for many, two is just a sweeter spot. Beer on tap flows with local, regional, & known brands. The drink menu is pretty lengthy and beers will rotate with the seasons. If you're unsure on what you want, then your friendly server is very likely going to give you some good options. The whole place seems to be held together by stickers & customer 'art', so it gives Grinders a divey atmosphere but delivers a five-star product. Parking is Crossroads, pricing is reasonable but the value is far more than the price point(s), and there's a reason this place gets national exposure. It's that good. And if weather allows, then eat out back. Underrated KC patio.

We started at the Aquarium and Legoland inside Crown Center--both were a hit. The Aquarium was immersive and beautifully done, and the kids were completely locked in. Legoland was pure excitement--color, creativity, and nonstop energy. By the end of it all, we were hungry. We walked across the street into Crown Center and headed inside the Crown Plaza area looking for Fritz's Railroad Restaurant. The moment we stepped in, it felt like stepping back in time. The space carries an old-world nostalgia--warm, lively, and buzzing with families. It was busy, which is always a good sign. Then I looked up at the ceiling--and that's when it clicks why they call it the Railroad Restaurant. Model trains run on tracks overhead and actually deliver your food directly to your table. For the kids, this wasn't just dinner--it was a show. Their eyes followed the train the entire way until it stopped right above us. That moment alone made the visit worthwhile. The food was good, classic American comfort fare done right--burgers, fries, sandwiches--exactly what you want after a full day of walking and exploring. Nothing overly complicated, just satisfying and family-friendly. If you're visiting Kansas City or planning a day at Crown Center with young kids, Fritz's is a must-go. It's more than just a meal--it's part of the experience. Make a full day at Crown Center. Aquarium. Legoland. And cap it off with dinner delivered by train. I would absolutely recommend this place.
