I was really surprised to find a Mochinut store in the Zona Rosa mall outside of KC. It was a nice store, had some beautiful decorations for Christmas. It was super busy and almost all sitting spots were taken. We found a table luckily in the back side of the store. This store had both the donuts and the drinks. They had the corn dogs in the menu as well. We ordered three of the mochinuts and Thai iced tea with boba for myself. Prices were similar to other stores I had been to. The donuts were soft and very tasty. The tea was decent, but I was shocked that top 20% of my cup was empty just because I said no ice. Since the store was busy, staff members were trying their best to keep up with the orders. Despite my disappointment with the drink, I is still a good place to grab some delicious sweet bites and drinks. read more

This place is adorable. Multiple corn dog options, drinks, and donuts. The pricing seems a tad high but it is in Zona Rosa. The staff could be friendly. There is multiple sauces you can add at the end of the counter. The wait was a bit long given there was only 2 people waiting on theirs. read more

We wanted to try this new place in Zona Rosa. We ordered donuts to share. A few mozzarella sticks and a hot dog. A matcha, Tiger Tea and a Mango drink. Let's just say my kids were happier with their items than I was. I've made better Matcha's at home. The donuts were ok, kind of unassuming. Tiny dining space with several small tables smashed everyone together. Took a long time to get our food. The owner seemed super nice, but unfortunately at this point, I had wrote this place off. My neice and I were out for our annual auntie day out and decided to try this place out. The ambiance is super cute inside. The bright colors and whimsical designs are kid friendly. I had the Dubai chocolate and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet. The pistachio crème was delicious as well. My niece enjoyed her hot Cheeto stick. It was filled with cheese. Love love love!!! We finally have Mochinut in KCMO! Kind owners and staff. Went here for the mochi donuts and they were made in house and fresh. So airy, light and tasty. We tried the matcha, original, and mango. Also we tried the hot Cheetos half cheese and half beef hot dog, potatoes and ramen corn dog. All was delicious. Space is inviting and plenty of room to sit and enjoy. We also got the matcha boba tea. Some of the softest pearls we ever had when it's made fresh. Everything is so good! They are still in their soft opening, so they don't have their full mochi donuts menu until January but go try them out!! The donuts come out fresh constantly, and the Korean corn dog is made to order. They have boba as well, and a variety of dipping sauce for your corn dogs. Their donuts are perfect for sharing, you can just pop a piece off. The donuts are crunchy outside and have a chewy soft inside, and every one I tried was delicious! Angelo and Ahram are super kind and they have been out greeting customers and friends coming by to support the business. They're already super business and haven't even done their grand opening, which is a GREAT sign for any new business to give it a try! The mochi donuts were amazing! Delicious and melt in your mouth soft. I got a mango tea with mango popping boba. The flavor was too strong for my taste, but I really like the drink cup. I'll try a different flavor next time. They had no chocolate flavored drinks, so my child didn't get a drink but loved the mochi donut. Nice, a Korean corn dog and mochi donut option in the Northland. This could save me a trip to Blackhole bakery on Troost for my mochi and Overland Park for my K-Dogs. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and the small place was pretty packed. A line was about 5 customers long and about 5 others were waiting on their orders. As I waited for about 10 minutes to place my order, I saw no one that was waiting get their orders, so at the last minute, I decided to skip the dog and just get a quick mochi so i could be on my way and make the two other stops that I needed to make in the area. I ordered the Strawberry mochi which was in the case closest to the register. At $3.50 a pop or 3 / $10 they are a bit pricey for a bit of rice flour and icing and a large hole in the middle. After paying she asked for my name and I gave it to her a bit confused; then stated "I don't think you'll need my name - the donut is right there"; pointing to the small ring literally 10 inches from her. "But there are orders in front of you", I was told. Was this a joke? I calmly stepped back and waited 5 more minutes before someone else came and grabbed the donut and called my name. Another corporate chain concept that has no clue about customer service. Good luck with that. read more

Tried a few of the corndogs as well including the hot Cheetos, ramen and the potatoes. All of them were good but i enjoyed the potatoes one the most. If you haven't had Mochinut, it's a must try! The Tapioca Flour makes these donuts so soft, chewy, and crispy on the outside in the best way. I will say a couple of mine were stale compared to the other Mochinut restaurants I've been to, but I would still come back! I never had to wait over 40 minutes for donuts before. I wanted to leave and get a refund by the 30 minute mark, but my toddler refused since she really wanted her donut. There was a lack of communication between the staff as no one was able to give customers a real estimate time for when the donuts would be ready, which was extremely frustrating. The very most they could've done was comp something like a drink or so for the wait, but nothing. I hope they figure out a better process if they want to retain customers. read more
