Ordered Mochinut via DoorDash to gift my in-laws donuts and boba for their anniversary, and they completely dropped off the wrong order. I called multiple times and finally got to someone. I told the guy who picked up the phone that my in-laws received a completely different order, and the guy blamed it on his manager. He said the manager handed the DoorDash driver the wrong order. He jotted my number down and said that the manager will call me back that same day. That never happened. I tried calling back the next day, but tell me why it's so hard to reach someone there. Did not get any sort of compensation from them. They just completely ignored the situation. DoorDash did not refund me completely. Customer service is so whack here, wtf. Can barely reach anyone when calling too.

If you haven't tried a Mochi donut, get yourself here! Light, crispy, and chewy donuts topped with various sweet glazes. They also serve up Korean rice dogs, similar to corn dogs, but has much more of a crisp and a hint of sweetness. Place is super clean, staff is very helpful and attentive, and the decor has a simple modern flare. It gets busy at times but you can order ahead for pick up. Come get your sweet on! Happy Nom Nom!

Was very excited to see Mochinut come closer to us as the next closest establishment is in the valley. During my visit, I thought that the food was pretty up to par as the other locations in terms of taste and texture. But the corn dogs are definitely something I'd eat maybe 2 times a year. It's pretty heavy and not a full meal but still pretty good. I heavily recommend the cookies & cream Mochi donut if you like the cream cheese flavor. It's a pretty small venue as there's only enough space for you to go in, order, and leave with your food. As for service, they still felt really new. We waited about 10 min for all of our food which isn't bad at all! But it definitely feels like they have some more work or training that needs to be done to keep a tight ship.

Mochinut just opened in Simi Valley yesterday (May 4) and so we were excited to stop by this weekend to grab some mochi donuts. While I understand that they literally just opened, I honestly had such a terrible experience with how disorganized everything was that it's going to take me a while before I have the courage to go back. Let's start with the good things first. We tried the caramel churro, cookies and cream, and blueberry donuts. The donuts were nice and chewy. I liked the blueberry one the most because it wasn't as sweet. Now on to the things that could use some improvement. They list the opening time as 11 AM but when we showed up the door was locked, and some employees came out to tell us they would be opening at 12 PM. We showed up at 12 PM and there were already customers being served and by the time we placed our order they had completely run out of their first batch of donuts. We were told that it would take 10-15 minutes, but ended up waiting for 45 minutes. I understand that with businesses just opening there are lots of things to smooth over, but waiting 45 minutes for 3 donuts just doesn't seem very reasonable. There are only about 5-6 flavors so if someone orders more than 6 donuts you may not be left with many options. I think it would be helpful to have people with larger orders call in to pre-order with the specific flavors they want. The way it's set up now, one employee takes your order (i.e. # of donuts) and a separate employee boxes up the particular flavors you want. However, things got backed up very quickly and instead of taking down people's orders of what donuts they wanted, they just had to wait and see what was available. I don't think this system is very efficient and it also makes it harder for the kitchen staff to know which flavors to make. I truly feel so bad for giving such a low review to a business that just opened, but it was truthfully just an awful experience. I almost considered asking for a refund and leaving but we had already committed so much time. This journey definitely wasn't worth it despite how tasty the donuts were. Hopefully as time goes on, the business will be able to expand the flavor options and enhance the efficiency of the workflow.

Their donuts are so good! If you haven't had a mochi donut I highly recommend them. They used to only sell donuts in quantities of 3 but they recently started a new deal, one donut and one drink for $7. The boba drinks are premixed and really sweet. I'll definitely be back for the donuts. The location is clean and small and the employee who helped me was quite helpful. She told me the cookies and cream and churro donuts are their most popular. Happy to have a Mochinut in Ventura County.

Very cute little store in simi! I went on a weekday in the afternoon and there was no wait! They served me this drink and a box of donuts I ordered within 5-10 minutes so pretty fast! I loved the drink it was very creamy and rich! The donuts are an interesting texture for sure! But super cute and very flavorful

This place is amazing!! I was greeted by two sunshine friendly people who were so helpful . This was my first time at MOCHINUT and they were eager to tell me all about their foods. First off, I'm somewhat of a donut connoisseur so I know my donuts. But calling their yummy treats donuts is a bit misleading. They are a chewy delight!!! I had the maple and it was amazing!! Left with a cookies and cream, maple and Nutella for my family. Sure hope they make it home I also got a milk tea with boba and it also was fantastic!! They serve it in a hard plastic reusable cup with a soda type lid. Very cool and super inventive!!! I will be back again soon!

I have been a long time fan of mochinut, going to the Northridge location for as long as I can remember. You wouldn't believe my surprise when I found out that a location was opening in my hometown!! The store is busy, and it seems like the workers could use a little more help and practice, however, they do amazing with the staff and training that they have. Orders come out fast enough, and the friendly service makes the wait totally worth it. My favorite item from mochinut has always been the original half and half. Most location tend to undercook them, and make them small, but this location cooks each corn dog to perfection, clearly focusing more on quality. Pretty disappointing. The guy taking our order was impatient and obviously didn't want to be there. The donuts felt stale and old and for the price they were very disappointing. We also purchased two drinks, one was the brown sugar taro and the other one was a fruit tea. Both drinks were awful and were thrown away. The taro one was super gritty and chunky and tasted bad and the fruit tea was extremely acidic and sour. We also found it weird that the guy taking our order was the one making the drinks right behind the cash register using pitchers that were just sitting on the counter and not refrigerated. I was excited about trying this place especially since I live very close to it and heard good things about the Northridge location but I don't think we will be back. read more

To think that this place just opened last month and to have such bad reviews says a lot. Read the reviews before coming here and it's crazy that there was a review about a white guy (probably one of the owners) was exactly what the other review stated. Impatient, no customer service whatsoever. Will not be coming back. You would think that after those reviews that they will learn something but nope! Be humble ppl! Three stars . . .the mochinut is good. Also ordered a rice flour mozzarella, but never got it. Cashier said it takes about 5-7mins, but after 20 it still wasn't done. Their excuse was it must have gotten mixed up??? There were only a couple of kids ahead of me, they weren't busy. They wanted to give me a free donut and said my order would be out in a couple more minutes. I asked for a refund instead. They apologized saying "we're sorry, we just had a soft opening a couple of weeks ago". Not a good first impression!!! read more

My family and I have been coming to this Dan store for the past two decades consistently and you always know the quality is great. I had a delightful experience. The mochi donuts were delicious, with a perfect balance of chewy and sweet. The worker was friendly and provided excellent service, making the visit even more enjoyable. However, I have a small complaint. As someone who loves food but is trying to watch my diet, I found it challenging that the store has a minimum purchase requirement of three donuts. While I have no problem inhaling them, I would have appreciated the option to buy just one donut. Sometimes, you just want a taste without the temptation of more! Overall, the quality of the donuts and the service were great, but I'd love to see more flexibility in purchasing options. If you're looking for a sweet treat, this place is definitely worth a visit--just be prepared to take a few extra home. read more

My wife and I have visited Mochinut a few times since they opened in Simi and we enjoyed it every single time. The place has a nice, cozy design. It would be even better if they had a dine-in area, but at least there is a waiting area with a bench. The employees are always very welcoming and cheerful. I have tried several donut flavors and all of them are delicious. My favorites are original and Nutella. These donuts are different from the ones we are used to, but we love the chewy texture and the variety of flavors.I highly recommend giving this place a try. From now on, this is our go-to place for deserts. read more

I went to the Mochinut store on Madera today. I noticed many different types of donuts that all looked very great and it did not disappoint. I ate these donuts and with the first bite my mind exploded. I thought these are the best mochi nuts that I've ever had and also the only mochi I've ever had which is why I highly recommend this store to anybody and that's why I'm writing at five star review.
