They've had the best apple fritters in all of Simi for two decades. Seriously one of the best donut shops around. The customer service is always great and very efficient with being able to get in and out. Definitely one of the local "institutions" in town. A perfectly fine little donut shop in Simi Valley. I'm always on the hunt for new donut spots and this one caught our eye as we were traveling through town. Lady running the counter was nice and helpful throughout the exchange. I felt like for a late afternoon they had a pretty and impressive selection of donuts to still choose from, so this is a selling point. Great selection of donuts and also a lot of different smoothies or bobas you could choose from. The reason for the 4 stars opposed to 5 is simply that there wasn't nothing in particular that wowed me or put it into the category of the best donuts shops I've been to. This spot definitely has a great selection and donuts were good, you'll be happy if you find this spot and put it on your rotation. I also observed that the prices were a little on the higher side then some of my local spots so I took that into consideration too but I get with the cost of living and ingredients everywhere going up they have to make a profit, so I'm not bothered just noting I can get equally as good of a donut for cheaper closer to my home. The hot chocolate here is spot on, delicious and done right. I also got the chocolate glaze and regular glaze donut here as well but it's not the best or the worst. I give 2 less stars because the old man working this morning didn't wear a mask even though they have a notice on the door that mask is required. I wore mine when I went inside. They also charge a transaction fee if you use credit card to pay, I didn't see any notice in the store about it so just be aware. Came in early Sun morning for my kids to choose some. Line was 3 long, clearly marked for low density inside and masks required. Everyone was friendly but careful. I picked up several different kinds and they were all gone the same day. My kids even fought for my plain powdered sugar ones. My son thought they smelled like Chinese donuts. Easily the best donuts in all of Simi Valley and probably Moorpark too. The donuts are always fresh and since they close at 5 each evening, you know you're getting fresh stuff in the mornings. If I have to pick up donuts for work, this is the only place I go to. The ham and cheese croissant is huge and nicely stuffed, easily can be shared. The maple long johns or round glazed are amazing. The one they're known for is the Tiger Tail which is huge and incredibly tasty for less than two dollars. A good selection of drinks are available in the fridge. The only drawback is the guy who stands in front of the shop and tries to hand you a pamphlet of some kind. I know it's not the business owners fault, but it make the visit just a little more awkward than it has to be for no reason. read more

I love independent, Asian-run donut stores. And this is like, near the butt end of Simi Valley. That said, I'm happy this is nearby. It's my local substitute for Dragon Donut when I'm in a hurry to get somewhere and have to bring some good donuts and croissants. The fruit-filled croissants taste like they've been filled with canned pie filling, but for donut shop prices, that's perfectly okay. I quite like the cherry ones. We also got the watermelon smoothie, which tasted like Jolly Rancher-infused ice cream. It was ... interesting, only because I wasn't expecting that kind of taste. We ventured in on a Sunday morning to get the family some donuts. There was a slight wait but nothing too bad. The female owner was very kind and hard working. We've been coming here for years. Seen a HUGE decline in the way they operate. I hate to have to blast them but it has gotten to the point where a business shouldn't get greedy by cutting costs. Hopefully the poor lady running the place by herself will PAY for some extra help to cover the following deal-breakers: 1st - have got to clean their store. If they don't EVER care where their customers sit and eat, I have to assume they hold the same standard with their ovens and cooking appliances. I guarantee if the health department came in, they'd have a fun time explaining why things are as filthy as they are. 2nd - can't be out of "traditional" donuts at 9:30am repeatedly on Saturdays and Sundays. (maple bars, donut holes, etc...) 3rd - coffee has gone way down hill with quality and up in price. It tastes like burnt old coffee with a 2-year-old filter. They've lost a twice-a-week customer; sometimes more. I almost want to open up a donut store right next to them and show you how bad it's gotten. I'd take every customer eventually on West Simi... It is family run and they are friendly people who appreciate local neighborhood customers.
