Just tried this place for the first time today and I have so many good things to say! I'll start with the ambiance- the music the energy the staff the decor, everything was just the perfect vibe and put me in the greatest mood for the entire day! Staff was wonderful. Everybody was so kind and like I mentioned earlier, had great energy. They all seemed like they were genuinely enjoying themselves working there, which was so nice to see. I got the lavender honey iced latte for myself and then I got the orange dream frozen drink for my kids as well as two cake pops. Everything was incredible. Tucked away in a really secluded spot, so you'd never stumble upon it by accident, but once you find it, there's plenty of parking, which is a win. Place was pretty busy when we went, always a good sign. I tried the Honey Matcha (staff recommendation) and liked the flavor, but it was sweeter than I'd prefer, totally on me for forgetting to ask for less sweet. My husband got the Mexican mocha and said it was good, but both our drinks had way too much ice. We also ordered sausage and egg croissants. The flavor was good, but the sausage patty was on the small side and it was missing mayo. Still tasted fine, just not quite what we expected. Overall, solid spot with friendly staff and cool vibes, just a few small misses on execution. Would go back and customize my order better next time. read more

This is an awesome Makenna Koffee location. The staff is friendly and the drinks are always on point. Even when there's a long line they get your drink out to you in less than 10 minutes. That being said, I still recommend ordering ahead since they're almost always busy. Last time I came by I tried Santa's Cookie. It was decent for a seasonal drink, but I wouldn't get it again because there's better options. I'm still making my way through their menu, but I have a general idea of what I like. Some of my favorites are the Cookie Butter Latte, the Hawaiian Honey, and the Coco Cabana. Can't wait to come back! read more

OK, me and my wife wanted to try a different coffee shop because we were over Starbucks and we were new to this place. We walked in and was greeted felt very welcoming. The music was amazing, colors all around us it was awesome and the girl at the register named Cali gave us the best warming comforting customer service ever. We went there yesterday to pick up some coffee for our first time we came back there today and the fact that she remembered our names made me super happy please everybody please go see Cali thank you Cali for giving us an amazing customer service. Wanted something for our long drive home, and wanted anything other than Starbucks lol! Found this on the route home and stopped. It's a super cute shop, definitely gives surf shop vibes. It was pretty packed which to me was a good sign. I got an iced north shore with Maui milk and the hubby got cookie butter with Kona cloud. Both were good but honestly my husbands was out of this world. You get the sweet, creamy, fluffy cool hit and then it's followed by a smooth nutty coffee. What a great experience at McKenna Koffee. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was quick, which is always appreciated, and everything we ordered was perfect. My cinnamon spice tea was exactly what I needed and absolutely delicious. My daughter loved her Terminator drink and finished it off with a tasty bagel that really hit the spot. We enjoyed it so much that I even ended up buying a hat from the shop to support the business. Ordered a Salty Coffee Drink asked for no foam, receipt even said no foam. Cup was only 3/4 full, had a bunch of foam and was half the weight of the other latte we got. I went to the barista and showed it to her and in a snooty reply she said "there is no foam in there" and I said it is half the weight of the other drink and she just looked at me and said nothing. Instead she should have said here let me take the foam off and add more of the other ingredients to the drink. Drink was very good too bad it was gone in 4 sips. Went to McKenna on Sunday at 12 PM. Boy, jam packed. They had way too many cooks in the kitchen. Don't even think the girls know what drinks they're supposed to make since there were too many of them. Most of them were doing just busy work. I waited 20 mins for my drink. I confess. The new MaKenna location by me (in Ventura) closed at 2 so I drove an hr, 2 hrs there and back, to get this delicious drink. ‍. These are such unique drinks with the Maui milk. I've tried about 9 drinks and they were absolutely delicious. There was 1 that was just ok, the mojito, but all the others were GREAT! If I had to pick a favorite it would the Sandy Blonde or Honey Bee. Same Hawaiian vibe like the Ventura shop. The big difference I noticed is they serve breakfast here. But everything else seemed the same. And the service was just as friendly too. read more

This is the second time where I've ordered a drink with no coffee and they still add some it's really disappointing when these kind of things happen I've even notice when ordering and asking with no coffee the cashier just looks lost when being mentioned no coffee like there's no option for it but on their website or DoorDash it gives you the option and I've gone to other locations where they've done it with out but it just seems to be this location the one making the mistake and that's very devastating and time wasting. read more

Cute little coffee spot in Simi Valley, bunch of young pretty girls working it seemed to be very busy from the amount of people coming out while I was parking my motorcycle. I was greeted immediately and went up to the counter when my turn came up. I told a nice smiling girl I'm just a regular guy and you have such a large menu. What should I get?? She asked me if I like cold brew I said yes, and suggested a chocolate cold brew, with macadamia now whatever it was put on top was fucking amazing. It was some kind of smooth creamy chocolatey goodness it completely covered the cold brew so I drank just it by itself initially The prices are outrageous and they have a cool Hawaiian vibe.
