Wow the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! They use the thin flour tortillas so it's filling but not overly. The coffee is also very smooth. There's seating outdoors. Highly recommend.

This is an awesome Makenna Koffee location. The staff is friendly and the drinks are always on point. Even when there's a long line they get your drink out to you in less than 10 minutes. That being said, I still recommend ordering ahead since they're almost always busy. Last time I came by I tried Santa's Cookie. It was decent for a seasonal drink, but I wouldn't get it again because there's better options. I'm still making my way through their menu, but I have a general idea of what I like. Some of my favorites are the Cookie Butter Latte, the Hawaiian Honey, and the Coco Cabana. Can't wait to come back!

Gimme, gimme more! I absolutely loved this coffee shop--from the coffee and breakfast sandwiches to the pastries, decor, merch, and even the staff. Everything was on point! The coffee was PHENOMENAL, and you can really tell how much care goes into what they do. The space is welcoming, the vibe is great, and the team is incredibly friendly. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Simi Valley. Keep up the amazing work--you're all doing an incredible job!

OK, me and my wife wanted to try a different coffee shop because we were over Starbucks and we were new to this place. We walked in and was greeted felt very welcoming. The music was amazing, colors all around us it was awesome and the girl at the register named Cali gave us the best warming comforting customer service ever. We went there yesterday to pick up some coffee for our first time we came back there today and the fact that she remembered our names made me super happy please everybody please go see Cali thank you Cali for giving us an amazing customer service. We will be back a third time just because of you and that refresher you made me the starburst was amazing!!!!!. Oh, we got some wristbands too.

Drinks are amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Chill spot to do homework or just for girl talk with your Koffee. Definitely recommend to this place.

Wanted something for our long drive home, and wanted anything other than Starbucks lol! Found this on the route home and stopped. It's a super cute shop, definitely gives surf shop vibes. It was pretty packed which to me was a good sign. I got an iced north shore with Maui milk and the hubby got cookie butter with Kona cloud. Both were good but honestly my husbands was out of this world. You get the sweet, creamy, fluffy cool hit and then it's followed by a smooth nutty coffee. We talked about it almost half the ride home lol! Hopefully we can find ourselves in the area again.

What a great experience at McKenna Koffee. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was quick, which is always appreciated, and everything we ordered was perfect. My cinnamon spice tea was exactly what I needed and absolutely delicious. My daughter loved her Terminator drink and finished it off with a tasty bagel that really hit the spot. We enjoyed it so much that I even ended up buying a hat from the shop to support the business. Amazing drinks, great vibes, and wonderful people. We will definitely be back.

I guess the inch of foam at the bottom and around the ring is not foam according to their snooty barista.

Ordered a Salty Coffee Drink asked for no foam, receipt even said no foam. Cup was only 3/4 full, had a bunch of foam and was half the weight of the other latte we got. I went to the barista and showed it to her and in a snooty reply she said "there is no foam in there" and I said it is half the weight of the other drink and she just looked at me and said nothing. Instead she should have said here let me take the foam off and add more of the other ingredients to the drink. Drink was very good too bad it was gone in 4 sips. It's sad that a local business has such poor customer service.

Coconut Cold Brew & Shaken Peppermint

We ordered a small Coconut Cold Brew and a small Shaken Peppermint, and unfortunately both drinks were way too sweet for our taste. The syrups made them overly thick without the creamy and smooth texture you'd hope for. Service was just okay, but there was plenty of parking and seats, which is a plus. Probably wouldn't go out of our way to return.

The coffee here is amazing! I ordered a drink while visiting Simi and was blown away by how great it was! The inside is fun and open, with a bunch of tables and chairs. The staff was great and helpful too! There was, what looked like, a really long wait, but wasn't. The baristas were making the drinks very quickly and efficient. If you're near Makenna Koffee and like coffee, definitely check this place out!

Went to McKenna on Sunday at 12 PM. Boy, jam packed. They had way too many cooks in the kitchen. Don't even think the girls know what drinks they're supposed to make since there were too many of them. Most of them were doing just busy work. I waited 20 mins for my drink. My breakfast sandwich came out fast, but got cold while waiting for my drink. I might try their Tapo Canyon location next time.

Cute, little, local coffee spot. So many delicious options to choose from. Also a good variety of milk alternatives.

Loved the Hawaiian theme/decor, made the inside very welcoming even during the busy hour. Everyone was very friendly as well! Loved the Maui iced coffee, delicious flavor not too sweet not too bitter. Perfect.

Ask the Community - Makenna Koffee

    Hawaiian owned shop?

Not hawaiian owned but the owners are very close with Hawaii.

What is in the "Maui milk"?

Don't think anyone is going to tell you, but if I had to guess, I'd say a mixture of condensed milk, coconut milk, and whole milk.

Is there good wifi here? Also, is the café good for working or studying (with café noise obviously expected)?

The wifi is decent, but they play the music too loud for casual conversation, much less for working.

Are they able to make their coffee based drinks keto friendly?

    Yes!

    Is it open yet?

Yes! Current hours are 8-4 min through sunday I believe

    When are they opening?

    They're open now !

Anyone know if it's open again yet?

I went by today and still not reopened. There was a sign on the door that they'll open soon.

Anyone know of this place is a chain or independent?

    Small business !

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.

It's decorated very cute with a few instagramable moments if your into that. There is a bunch of seating inside and outside. I had some questions about the menu since it was my first time going here. I ordered the Spanish iced latte and the caramel iced latte on her recommendation. And then I ordered two different matcha drinks for my niece. My total was about $31 for 4 small drinks. They are a little on the pricier side. They have so much ice that after a few sips our drinks were done. I also had to go back because it was not sweet at all and ask for more flavor. Both of them were lacking flavor to me. I did go back in and the girl was very accommodating and quickly added more flavor. It was better after that. Four of us went, and 6 drinks later.... We thought it was just ok and a little on the expensive side. Not sure if I would go back because it's a little drive for me and wasn't worth it to me. If I'm in the area and really really want a coffee, maybe.
