I had flowers delivered to my work by this florist last week, and they were beautiful! Fast forward one week and they are still adorning our kitchen at home. I did notice that they were starting to wilt the next day, but as with every living thing, they just needed some TLC. I topped off the water and added some vodka to kill bacteria and voila! I came in and picked out an arrangement from a brochure, roughly 10minutes later I walked out with my order and a receipt larger than I expected. $60 for a mild arrangement and a $5 birthday balloon?? Did I miss something? I dont know, maybe I dont buy a lot of flowers... or maybe I should of invested in flower and balloon stock when Wall Street bottomed out. The service was ok... unfortunately I noticed the lady working the register was far more interested in what she had to say than I. But then again it was her personal life that she babbled on about. I received an orchid from my boyfriend for my birthday from Mockingbird Lane Florist. I followed all of the directions they sent along with online information I'd found when researching ... basically I took better care of it than I did myself. Sadly, the orchid didn't pull through. After one call with them, they offered to replace it and when I went it to get it, they gave a great tutorial on caring for an orchid. The culprit was that my office turns our AC off at night and it got too hot -- but they replaced it anyway. While the arrangements are somewhat expensive, the customer service is spot on. A wonderful experience ordering flower delivery from out of town, from start to finish! My mom was retiring, and none of us kiddos could make it town for her retirement party. Wanting her to know we were thinking about her, I opted to Yelp search local florists in Dallas. It's been awhile since I've lived there, and is there anything worse than the 1-800 flowers order showing up in a zebra print container because you couldn't quite tell what you were ordering online? No, there's nothing worse. Just a quick 5-7 minute conversation with a sweet lady over the phone was all it took to make sure something beautiful and personal arrived at my mom's school on her last day. My daughter just moved to Texas from The PNW and this is the first birthday we have not been able to gather in person. The website was good and when I called to confirm pick up by her boyfriend, the employee I spoke to was incredibly kind. Out of town I decided to buy flowers for my friend. Went in and asked for specific flowers arrangement. The unfriendly attendant told me it costs about $125 and although it was twice I would have paid somewhere else I said ok, because I was in time crunch. Another lady comes back with a totally different premade and old flowers and tried to force me to take it. At that point I was glad I had not paid and I walked out. I did call ahead to ask if the color selection I wanted was available, they said they had tons, and they did. I used Mockingbird Florist for my wedding, and I couldn't have been happier. When I emailed with my inquiry, I got a follow-up email right away, followed by a phone call where I was quoted prices. The other florists I talked to took nearly a week to get a quote back to me, and they were all more expensive. On top of the good price, I got a 10% discount for buying my dress from the salon next door. They were also extremely lenient with me - my credit card was compromised the week my final payment was due, and they gave me a few extra days to sort it out. I picked up my order from the shop instead of having it delivered, and everything was ready to go when I got there. Fantastic customer service all the way around. I had a brief meeting with the manager to talk about my expectations for my bouquet, and after seeing a couple of pictures she said we were on the same page. What I actually got was far beyond my expectations - it was larger, didn't use filler to make the size/cascade, and was so fresh and beautiful. They got my husband's minimalistic boutonniere perfect, and the loose orchids and white rose petals were very fresh and looked great the whole night. To be honest, I thought such a small order wouldn't get much attention - I wasn't spending thousands the way some brides do - but this shop put their absolute best into their work for me. read more

I came to pick up the bouquet & vase, and they told me that they couldn't sell me the roses I had requested earlier that morning because they were sub-standard. I ordered flowers 5 days before Mother's Day through the co. website, which were supposed to arrive 4 days before Mother's Day. No flowers arrived by Mother's Day. When I spoke with the florist, they were quite defensive, saying "things like this happen." "I could tell you some stories." I did not find this reassuring. I was told I would get a follow up call, and did not. when I called back the next day, they said there was no trouble ticket, but they would have to investigate. Again I was told this happens a lot, and the person there said, "oh you made an internet order, that could be the problem." I have received 2 arrangements from here so far and both have been disappointing. I had hoped the first was on an off day for them but upon seeing the second I found the need to leave a review. Both arrangements looked pretty upon first glance and that's all I can say In that regard. Each arrangement had wilted flowers. I noticed that the only reason they were being held up was a result of the massive amounts of tape being used. Neither arrangement lasted more than a few days. I also noticed that not all the flowers were cut currently. The stems were not cut at a diagonal. Overall disappointing for all the pomp and price. read more
