Jo Bar is physically attached to Papa Haydn, and is under the same ownership. Despite this, Jo Bar has its own food menu, but both share the same dessert menu. This means that you can get any of Papa Haydn's legendary desserts here. I made a reservation ahead of time, and was seated at the best table in the house for seeing the bands perform. The space is small, so some of the band will invariably be tucked in the area next to the entrance door, so be aware of this. It wasn't a huge detriment, but can be depending on where you're specifically seated. The only negative is that finding parking is a real chore. There is street parking, but most streets are very full in the evenings. I wound up parking in a parking garage several blocks away. I'm really looking forward to my next visit. Jo Bar is a GREAT place to enjoy great live music, GREAT food, GREAT service, and truly spectacular dessert.

One piece of bacon on a club sandwich, and it was a tiny, shriveled strip. The Reuben was just bad. The breakfast burritos are reasonably priced, but the quality is terrible: soggy, undercooked potatoes, very little bacon (and what you do get is chewy), and when I paid extra for avocado, I received only two small pieces. I've also tried adding simple notes to orders (no mayo, add mustard, etc.), and they are never followed. Consistency and attention to detail are clearly lacking. I really wish there were more food options on the island, but if you have a choice, skip this place. You're not missing anything. The only + id give them is that the prices are decent, however they totally skimp out on what they serve you so it cancels out. read more

I can't believe that Mocks only has 3 stars! I go here at least twice a week and I've only had positive experience from here. This mom and pop shop has warm and friendly staff who always provide exceptional service--if you're a regular, they will remember your favorites and get your order ready in no time. Everything I've tried were delicious, and their ingredients are incredibly fresh. The quality of their ingredients are incomparable to their counterparts at Subway that stay "fresh" for years without deteriorating. As a local truck driver, I frequently visit this cafe. It has a spacious parking lot. Even big trucks can park around this place. The foods were decent and the price was affordable. Although I didn't try most of the menus, the Dagwood club was very good. And the breakfast burrito is yummy for quick breakfast. read more

Please note that Mocks bottom has had new owners for about a year now. The new owners have turned this place completely around! I eat there at least three times per week and they have great specials every day. If you work on Swan Island, you should try them out. read more
