Excellent authentic Mexican food. I ordered Chili Verdi (pork shoulder with green sauce) and it was heaven. We started with guacamole and chips. The guacamole was super fresh. Loaded with flavor. The chips were excellent. They weren't greasy. My partner in crime ordered a variety of traditional mexican fare, empadilla, Tamale, beef taco, and tinga tosada. He enjoyed all of it. What ever you do avoid this place please. It is not a replacement for Estilitas taqueria. This is not even traditional Mexican food. Taco bell is a better choice than here. Go to Salsas on Dickinson or even Beuno on Sumner for quick mexican/tex mex. All these 5 star reviews just seem like individuals being nice and hopefully not sincerity because the food was that bad. I will not waste my time on a huge review of my take out experience. But small portions, absolutely under seasoned tasteless chorizo/chicken/ground beef/ and steak. I tried a little of all. Nachos 9$ with almost no toppings. Chips are deep fried, burnt, and greasy. Tacos were wet and fell apart. Tostadas tasteless and boring. 10$ steak Quesadilla was pretty much cooked in a pan for 1 minute and microwaved off with some kraft cheese and precooked Carne Asada from a bag... The Salsa Verde and Roja both had zero heat or distinctive deep chili flavors. Spent about 40 bucks for bad bad food. Won't be back. Don't go either. read more

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant by far. The tacos and entrees are all authentic and delicious. The service is fast and consistently good. We love the carnitas and lengua tacos, the mole enchiladas and the horchata. Everything else we have tried has been great too. It is BYOB though we have never done that it sounds like a fun idea. read more

For me, three stars means the food was good. Everything tasted pretty good with some alteration but nothing was spectacular. I tried the empadilla, which has virtually no filling but the pastry was flaky and yummy as most fried pastry dough is. My husband and I both got the traditional carne asada tacos. We found that they were lacking salt (probably in the tortilla), but overall the flavors were a nice combination and very satisfying. The guacamole was also very good and chips fresh (but again needed a bit of salt). Maybe we'll give them another shot, it could have just been an off seasoning day, but it is a great local place. read more

I'm from the Worcester area, we stopped while in Springfield after reading other Yelp reviews. Service was a little slow but the food was outstanding! I got the Carne a la tampiquena which I really enjoyed, my wife had the Bistec a la Mexicana and she also thought it was great. Had the Churros for dessert, also really great! read more

At the present time, I don't have too much feedback to give, only because I haven't tried much from this restaurant...YET. I do believe I will be back though. I've been passing by this restaurant for the longest time. I pretty much pass by it every day going home and leaving home. A week or so ago, I decided to stop in when I was about to pass it on my way home. From what I observed of the menu, this restaurant seems to offer a nice variety of traditional mexican dishes (you won't find a chalupa here lol) and they're reasonably priced. I think on average, dinner plates are around $10 give or so a few dollars or so. Since it was my first time there, I started off simple with a couple hard shell beef tacos. They were reasonably priced at 99 cents and they were delicious and crispy. Maybe I was just extra ravenous because after I when home and devoured my tacos, I went back and got 2 more (hanging my head in shame lol), Since then, I've been on two other occasions for the tacos. Eventually I'll branch out into other things on the menu. The description of the chimichanga sounded interested. One other thing I should mention is the man that took my taco order was really pleasant. He really made the effort to really make me feel welcomed there and we chatted for about 10 minutes or so about the menu, how long the place has been there (since February 2014) etc. As far as the feel of the place, it was clean which made me feel good about ordering there. Authentic mexican. Seriously one of the best meals I have eaten overall. Spicy and super tasty salsa. My wife said it is the best Guacamole she ever had. She had dollar tacos and they were delicious. The soft tacos were corn not flour which I love. The hard taco shell was delicious. I had the mole enchiladas which were delicious with a dark chocolate flavor. My son had the enchiladas with red sauce and he loved them. He states this is the best mexican food he has ever had. We ended the meal with homemade churros. The bavarian cream churro was delicious and the regular were very good. With all this food we also ate for only $40 with drink. The owner at the end of the meal came over and chatted with my daughter for a couple of minutes and was extremely pleasant. His kids were in the restaurant and helped with service. This always makes me feel better eating somewhere. The place is small but super clean and very homey. The service was extremely fast and friendly. read more

I've been here a few times and the food and prices are excellent. It isn't much for ambiance and the waitstaff is not ultra attentive but the authentic cuisine is worth a visit. Parking can be a bit of a problem at busier times as the lot is small and fills quickly. If you like authentic mexican food, this is the place to be! read more

This is a great little restaurant. Not a lot of table space, but it's clean, and the food is good. Prices are excellent. I recommend the traditional tacos. Home made tortillas, yum. The only downside was that I ordered horchata, and it was forgotten, because I ordered take out at lunch time, and they were busy, busy, busy. It wasn't in the bag with my take away.
