Staff is nice enough, but no one's pizza is worth an hour in the store for a to go order. What is the point of ordering online from this place?! Seriously. My man and I use this place as a last resort and I am not sure why because it almost always leads to frustration. Might as well get Domino's. Here's the scoop... We typically order online and without fail something always goes wrong. So tonight, we ordered our usual, pepperoni with cheese and margherita. When ordering online it states it'll take 30 minutes to make. We go to pick it up, have to wait at least another solid 15 minutes just for them to finish making our pizza's. They forgot one of them, so we wait some more. At this point I'm at my wit's end. With an empty belly, hunger and irritability take over - watch out! We finally get our pizza's and guess what guys, they made them BOTH wrong. What the heck?! So to ease our troubles they gave us a free pizza coupon. No thanks, you can keep the coupon. Not even worth it. MOD your pizza is tasty (which is why the 2 stars) but I can't stand incompetence. A buddy from New Jersey invited me and a few friends out for dinner and a movie. It happened to be one of his friends birthdays but he didn't join us for food. The suggestion was MOD Pizza. He's from Jersey and for him to recommend a pizza joint, well that was a surprise. I'll easily admit that I'm more of the foodie person and the bigger pizza snob. I know I am and I hate a lot of pizza. But he swore this was good stuff. First impression was a pretty interesting space. Cool tables with metal piping, very open, bright MOD related art and photos on the wall and a brick oven. That meant good char on the crust. The philosophy of the place is one price and as many toppings as you like. Three sizes of pizzas and the middle one is good enough for one person. You can create your own pizza or go with one of the many options that they've created. I chose one of theirs because it looked so good. The Calexico has mozzarella, gorgonzola, chicken, jalapenos, buffalo sauce and their own MOD red tomato sauce. My friend got a pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni, meatball and red sauce. The third guy got the Ulysses which has mozzarella, parmesan, asiago, gorgonzola, fresh basil, garlic and mushrooms. All of the pizzas looked great. Mine tasted really good. The crust was great and the gorgonzola was what made the pizza pop. I did enjoy the two sauces and you could taste both, neither overpowered. I also had a slice of the pepperoni and meatball one. After all the spiciness of my pizza, it was a little timid for me, but it was good. Just look at the photos, you'll see some good looking food. I also made a quick tip about that Marionberry Lemonade. So worth it. They also had a pear iced tea that was ok, not my thing buy my buddy really enjoyed it. I liked the place, maybe in their expansion they will put one a little closer to Portland. With all the "gourmet" pizza shops in town that seem to believe their pizzas are worth over $20 a pop, they might do well because MOD keeps it's prices low and offer up a pretty good za. Well, although trying to diet after the Thanksgiving feast I gorged myself with I decided to give MOD Pizza a try anyways. It sounded good. It sounded cheap. So hooray for that. I am pleased that they are expanding the Cedar Hills shopping area and making it a touch more modern. Upon entering you are greeted by some friendly staff and some blaring music. They asked if I had been there before and then explained the process to me... "An 11" inch pizza for $7.17 (yes odd price right?) and any toppings you want...FREE!" FREE!?!? Well hot damn! They had a few "fave" selections on their menu so I started with the Ulysses - gorgonzola, garlic, mushrooms, mozz, parm, asiago, and basil. I went ahead and added spicy sausage, red peppers, and canadian bacon. They made it rather promptly and stuck it in the giant wood fired oven. Within about 5-7 min I had my pizza! As I got it to-go they stuck it in a box with some extra parm and red pepper flakes. Once I arrived home my pizza looked pretty good. Nice thin crust...and plenty big for one! Reason for no 5 stars is that I felt some of the ingredients were lacking. I couldn't taste the gorgonzola...there were only a couple chunks here and there. Garlic was almost non-existent. Sausage, peppers, mushies, and mozz were plentiful. All in all it was a pretty good pizza for the price. I would just probably ask for "extra toppings" next go-around. They also offer salads, milkshakes, the works. It all sounded pretty good. Plus they have beers on tap! I will definitely be back to MOD. Every time I have been to this location, it has been pretty empty and quick service. The pizzas are a thin crust and cooked in a large pizza oven which makes it the crust crispy. YUM! I've been to 'thin crust', 'low cost', 'put whatever toppings you want on' pizza places before that I haven't been impressed with. This one was different and delicious. Short line and when it was my turn to order the MOD Squad member asked if I had ever been there before. After answering that I hadn't he explained the whole ordering process and was very friendly and helpful. $7.17 for whatever I wanted but I wasn't feeling very creative and ended up ordering one off the list. Paid, went to get some lemonade, and sat down to wait for my pizza. Shortly after another squad member very loudly called out "Emily. Emily!" in my ear thinking I was someone else. Let him know I wasn't Emily and he apologized sheepishly. Poor guy. Overall the staff was really friendly and looked to be working hard. My pizza didn't take very long and while the squad member boxed it up he asked if I would like any cheese or peppers which was nice. Ate half the pizza in my car driving into town. It was really, really good. I'm a fan of thin crust and I understand that some people feel jipped on the thinness, but I thought it was perfect. I also prefer pizzas without red sauce and it was nice that they had an option for this. It actually reminded me of pizza I had in Rome. Good sign I suppose. Half a pizza was enough for me but I imagine if I was really hungry I would eat the whole thing by myself. Marionberry lemonade was delicious as well although very sweet. This is the third time I've ordered from this location and is the third time that it has been burnt. I'm ok with my pizza being a little crispy and I know it won't always be perfect, but this is ridiculous. I also ordered for extra extra cheese all three times and the cheese barley covers the whole pizza. I couldn't even eat the whole pizza because the burnt taste was so strong. We stopped in on a busy Friday night to give this fast food pizza thing a try. I was worried when people compared it to Subway because I despise Subway, but it bears little comparison. There was a line out the door but it actually moved pretty quickly. There is a huge menu on the wall with some popular pizzas, but you can make anything you please. They definitely have a system and there are tons of options for toppings. We went with the #2 - red sauce, pepperoni, meatballs, and sausage. We also went with the seasonal selection - white sauce, garlic, Canadian bacon, and asparagus. When we got to the register we ordered a milkshake and the guy told us that if we liked them on Facebook it would be free. He was super friendly and told us he a trainer for the company. We appreciated his enthusiasm and the milkshake tip. We took our food to-go because it was crazy busy inside. The pizzas were actually pretty good. They weren't the most filling because they are pretty thin, but they were flavorful. I think I would go for the #2 again, but maybe add some garlic and mushrooms. I might grab a salad too, just to make it a bigger meal. The milkshake was good, we had strawberry and it was vanilla ice cream with strawberry syrup, but still good. This is a really great place to grab a cheap lunch or a quick dinner. I think next time we are going to grab a couple pizzas and go for a picnic in the park. I love mod pizza and have been going to this location for years. The food is great and anyone who complains that they don't like what they order should stop complaining because you are literally the one that chooses your toppings. (Unless it is under/overcooked in which case go ahead and complain). They also have tasty scratch made lemonades and iced teas to drink along with bottled drinks and a soda fountain. This is a good spot to eat during COVID because it is a large open and well ventilated space. Their policy for drinks is that you can pour your own but to get a refill you have to get a new cup. Most of the time the service is good and they are happy to adjust anything to your liking. This location is right next to the new shake shack so the parking lot recently has gotten more crowded and it's a bit harder to find a spot. Overall this is a great location and I recommend it over other mod pizzas. read more

We love MOD but Covid-19 MOD isn't good. While we were parking up front and ordering on their app we evidenced 2 staff inside. One who was making pizza, picked up her call on headset with no mask and speaking over all the ingredients. Think about how much splash in the pizza. The other staff worked on getting pizza out of the oven and box them also no masks while handing out pizza and talking to those delivery people over (might be your) pizza. Ate here today for the first time. Subway style assembly line for toppings, and very friendly staff. Kinda reminds me of the personnel you'd find at a Chick Fil A if they had any around here. Interior is stark, sort of like Chipotle, but clean and well lit. I built a pizza with red sauce, pepperoni, spicy sausage, anchovies, mushrooms, black olives and jalapeños. Got a soda at the self serve and a few minutes later it was ready. Looked good & tasted great. They has Sriracha Sauce available, so a little of that and it was just spicy enough. This location used to be good, but it is now chaotic and poorly run. The floor and bar are strewn with toppings, the staff is rude, and pizzas just sit getting cold and they don't call out people's names. Most annoyingly, and this has happened on several visits, the staff has online backorders which delay the line. On multiple occasions I've been made to wait while they fulfill online orders when there is no one behind me in line, which is ridiculous. If you don't give your staff the capacity to help the customers who are present then you should not be taking online orders. (I don't blame the staff for this last one, their managers are giving them an impossible task.) This location has problems, and it has been going downhill for many months now. I love pizza, so this place was disappointing the first few times I went since their pre- baked crust is more like a pita bread than a typical pizza crust. This par- baked crust makes them able to fulfill their gimmick of larger-than-normal personal sized pizza with as many toppings as you would like for one set price. They finish baking your pizza as you wait in a quick few minutes and then you walk away with a quick, custom, hot pizza. They make your personalized pizza in front of you, as you select from a salad bar of toppings. And, they offer salads made to order as you shout your topping selections to them. Once I stopped trying to order like a "regular" pizza, I found a great combo and got used to their un-pizza like crust. Chicken, bacon, while cloves of roasted garlic, sun dried tomatoes, and black olives on a pesto sauced crust is now my new favorite from this place. Placed an order online on 12-18 and the estimated order ready time is 6:03pm. We arrived at 6pm and waited till 6:10pm. We asked whether our order is ready or not. The lady said not yet and they are still making it. We waited and saw a lot of walk in customers and they placed their orders and picked up between 6:10pm-6:35pm. Some other customers placed online orders and their the estimated order ready time was 6:20, 6:25pm and they all picked up their orders. My partner and I have enjoyed MOD Pizza the few times we've gone. Recently he discovered he has celiac disease, and we were happy to see that MOD had a gluten free crust available! It was a bit loud in the shop so maybe the pizza artist didn't hear us request the gluten free crust, and his pie was accidentally made with regular crust. But the man at the register caught the mistake, and immediately re-made the pizza properly. And he even gave us the incorrect pizza for free in a to-go box! THIS IS THE BEST MOD LOCATION! I am obsessed with MOD Pizza. Not because of their pizzas (I've actually never tried) but because of their salad. You pay for salads by the size, meaning you can add as many toppings as you want and the price doesn't change! Are you kidding me?!? That is a salad freak's dream. This location is the best because they are clean, always have interesting toppings, and the last time I went I ordered a mini salad and the server was so generous that it ended up looking like a full salad. Unfortunately, I did not have that time to wait and asked that my order be cancelled, refunded and rewards returned to my account. The young lady working the pick up station said she would take care of it and apologize profusely. As you can imagine I assumed I'd have to call and remind them of my refund and credits because they were under staffed and many customers waiting. I was absolutely wrong! The next morning my free pizza credit was in my account and my credit card refunded.
