I have been here a couple of times and the food is good and quick, The prices are OK like Pieology it is one price and you can put all you want on it. (I think Pieology is a bit better though), The staff is friendly and quick, and the space is nice (it can be loud when it gets full). I would come here more often but it is very popular and there always seems to be a line (at 6 on a Friday it was to the door), The line moves fairly fast though. The pizzas are good, I would probably be more a fan if I hadn't been to Pieology first. I wish they had more cheeses to choose ( Pieology has more toppings to choose from with similar prices). Still I give it three and a half stars (rounded to four for its convenient for me location). read more

Love the concept and most of the time, love the pizza. This particular location seems to have some executional challenges though that I haven't noticed at the Hillsboro location, and with competitors (Blaze just down the street, Pieology) coming in all over the place they may want to up their game a bit. The crust is always overdone here to the point of charred/burnt. I know it's a fine line with wood fired pizza and do expect some level of char here and there, but on both visits to this store our crust was burnt to the point where we didn't want to eat it. The other issue is the toppings are really skimpy. Since you can have anything you want on it for a flat price, I'd maybe ask for double to get good coverage. The BF had black olives on this pizza, and we counted 9 slices of olive spread over the 4 slices. I'd also advise ramping up the customer service a bit. It's loud in there -- the music is loud, the ceilings are high and open so it's really echoey -- so it would help to speak up a bit when asking about what pizza, what toppings, rattling off options. A smile would be good too. It tends to be pretty business-like in there, which is understandable to a point to move things along in a busy restaurant but can come off as a bit curt. Great pizza, and the lemonades (both regular and marionberry) are ridiculously good. The price can't be beat. A few small tweaks would up the star count for sure. read more

Ordered online for curbside pickup and was given a 20 minute timeframe for the order to be ready. Arrived and called to let them know we we're outside for our curbside pickup. Waited for 30 minutes and nobody brought the pizzas out but several others who had gone on while we were waiting, ordered, and return to their cars received their orders. We had to go in (it was very crowded and difficult to maintain the social distancing which is problematic since we are in the high risk category) to pick up the order which was now cold. The girl behind the counter was extremely rude and basically said it wasn't her problem that the pizzas were cold and not brought out to the car. We gave a huge tip when we paid online because we're trying to help the employees and businesses during this pandemic. I haven't ever experienced an issue at this location and come here often but will not return because of the employees attitudes and behavior. read more

For what you get it's fine. Can't complain for the price! For 8$ you get a pizza large enough to split into 2 meals. The dough, however, is pretty bad.. It tasted like flour water. Good texture, but wish they would put some honey/garlic/something in it. Got a pizza with pepperoni, salami, basil, garlic, onion and bell pepper. It was decent and very filling. **Have to update** This pizza made me really ill.. At first I thought it was caused by something else, but after eating my leftover pizza for lunch the next day I felt the same stomach pains and other digestive interruptions I did the previous day. I've worked in this 'hood for the better part of 4 years, and I was skeptical about this new addition to our little Cedar Hills family. This is the first Oregon location of this (currently) West Coast chain that holds many locations in Washington and Cali. I decided to meet some coworkers here for lunch, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. You're probably familiar with their concept from other reviewers - they have one size pizza, one price, and a laundry list of toppings. Anything you want, throw it on there, no additional charge. Heck yes! Finally, a pizza place that speaks my language! My favorite is the Calexico - spicy goodness and buffalo sauce. Yum! The Lucy Sunshine is also good. I prefer the unique pizzas, the ones on different sauces, etc. I like the thin crust, like the wood fired style. Their staff are knowledgeable and energetic. The dining room does tend to be a bit loud, but if you're not ok with that, take your noms to a quieter place and enjoy. read more

The Mod pizza is fully customizable. Pick your size and ALL the toppings you want. Cool toppings like blue cheese and artichoke hearts. All the classics too. What a cool restaurant. Thin, crispy crust. Pesto is good. White sauce, not to my taste. Usually you have your pizza cooked within 5 minutes or so. I also enjoy the garlic bread sticks. Dip them with pesto sauce. The only thing keeping this chain from 5 stars is the crust. It's good, don't get me wrong, just not 5-star. read more

My husband & I decided to check out this place after seeing it open up close to our home. We stopped in hoping for some OK pizza for dinner. Well we got more than OK. they offer 3 sizes & the mini (which is 4 slices & only about 4 bucks) was enough for me. You tell them the size you want & pick your toppings - it's like Subway but with pizza - GENIUS!!! I also had a small Caesar which was great. The pizza crust was thin & crispy. Unfortunately I started going here because they are rude at the Tanasbourne location and this place is also going down the drains. I went in last Wednesday 9/2 and they screwed up my order and were rude to me. I ordered a mini pizza and salad and the guy with a burgundy beanie just asked me what I wanted. He just marked it off on the sheet with a sharpie. And then he told me to just go ahead and pay. After I paid he started putting all the topping on. The the girl yelled our name and we got our pizza and I asked her for my salad. She said that I had to get back in line to get it. I told her that I paid for it already and that I just wanted a ceaser salad. She started to get rude with me and proceeded to call a guy with a cap with a P on it. And then she started mumbling stuff under her breath in front of me!!! He was the only one nice to me and he said he would make my salad and even offered to give me a refund. I just wanted my salad not a refund, so I refused it. I was not going to get back inl line. It was almost to the door and I was not going to get in front of all those people either. Now I realized that the guy wearing the burgundy beanie is the one that messed up my order. It's weird that they sell salads but when someone orders one, they don't know what to do. It's like they are programmed to just make pizza's. I think I am done with Mod Pizza for now. I knocked off 2 stars for the rude service but gave it 3 stars because the food is good. Concept is phenomenal.... Fresh quick oven roasted pizza, however you like, how can you go wrong? I really recommend their pesto sauce, its A+. Also just a suggestion but don't overload the pizza with toppings as they will either be undercooked or your dough will be way harder. Have a good balance!!! Think of this as the subway of the pizza world. $7.47 for as many toppings as you want. I say that's priced very very fair. I would also avoid coming after work hours, specifically 5-6:30 pm. The pizza is good here no question about it, however the service here was not good during my experience. I placed an order(on a Saturday in the afternoon time) for pick up and they told to swing by in 30 minutes to pick it up. When I arrived their was a sign on the door saying "closed" however staff was still inside. I knocked on the door and a team member opened the door and asked "did you read the sign?". I told him I placed an order for pick and he told me that the water to the restaurant was shutoff/broken and they have not been able to make pizza food for an hour. Which if that was the case, why did they take more order? The team member told me he couldn't do anything about it and shut the door. He literally drags his feet across the floor with his shoulders hunched and a pissed off look on his face that he has to actually work at work. All while having a cellphone headset in his ear. He moves slow as can be washing his hands, and walks up to help me with a depressed frown on his face that and still with his cellphone headset on. With that, I walk out and go get lunch next door at Baja Fresh. I hate being that much of an inconvenience to people. I wanted to try a new pizza place, and MOD fits that bill. I ate here the other night and I was pleasantly surprised. There are pizzas that you can order by number, which has common combinations, but they will also add or subtract ingredients to your liking. Sort of like Qdoba or Subway for pizza. I had #10 which was roasted chicken with barbecue sauce, cheese, and red onions. I skipped the red onions. The crust was delicious, and unlike other pizzas I usually have. The crust was very thin and very crispy - more like a flatbread. I shared the pizza with my husband and that was plenty for both of us. I had soda and my husband had a glass of wine, which was from the tap. Very nice for a pizza place and relatively expensive. I will be back. read more

If you are on a diet, not a huge budget and want to east in less than 30 minutes, this is a great pizza place The pizza is basically a flatbread. The crust is the best part of the pizza. The crusts were uniformly crispy but not burnt. The crispy flatbread crust is not as calorie intensive or as filling as a NY style pizza. Because it is a flatbread, the oven is is hotter and it is much faster to cook than usual pizza crusts,so expect quick service. Easily get in and out in 30 minutes or less. There was nothing particularly flavorful about the pizzas. I think this stems from the ingredients: (1) they weren't particularly fresh or artisan and (2) the toppings aren't exactly plentiful on the pizzas - in fact they are rather sparse; on any given slice about 1/3-1/2 have no toppings (though lightly sauced so it isn't dry). My other complaint was that the cheese wasn't cooked enough. Cheese should be a little golden brown (to my thinking) so stringy but a slight crispness to the outside (you know, like a nicely browned fire roasted marshmallow). The cheese on these is just barely cooked. The pizzas come in two sizes - personal and four piece (serves 2 or 1 hungry teenage boy). Review based on a Japser and a Tyler pizza. The environment is the same "mod" look as so many other mini chains around PDX. Their are more high/bar chairs here, which encourage the eat and get out behavior. There are about 1/2 dozen large booths (hold 6) and a couple of tables that also hold larger groups. read more

This place is pretty good! I love that they have the ability to place your order online to avoid a line in store. You can get as many toppings as you would like on your pizza without a price hike, so that is another bonus. This specific location also has really good customer service. Went to this location because the one in Tanasbourne was closed. First thing i asked for was a salad and their romaine lettuce looked disgustingggg. I kindly pointed it out hoping the employee would at least put some fresh ones or acknowledge it at least but instead just throws on whatever what was in the container. I asked for my dressing to be tossed in the salad and usually they would put the greens in a metal bowl, give it a good toss and put it back in the container but no this guy just decided to give it a half ass toss in its container and proceeds to move on with the cheese. at this point i already lost my appetite because of the greens and lack of customer service. luckily another guy took over my order and assisted me better. 0/10 would not recommend going to this location. So I finally decided to give this place another try, and this time to do what people suggested and not eat it for the crust but for the toppings. I went nuts. 4 cheese, garlic, veggies, pesto. It looked and smelled glorious. I am not usually one for many toppings but just like Subway, this place is better the more you put on. It's pretty cheap and easy for what it is, and while I won't be a regular, this will definitely go into rotation for when I need a hit of veggies and cheese. Really people?? 4 out of 5 stars for cardboard pizza??? I call shennaigans on some faux reviews here! Think of the personal pizza that the Century Theatre sells for $5 and you'll taste EVERY version of pizza we tried at Mod Pizza. Pizza Schmizza, New Seasons and even Winco pizza is way better. Everything was tiny and pint sized and there was little if any toppings for their $7 mini pizzas. Garlic bread consists of 4 baby knots each under 2" long. The only thing worth the entire visit to Mod Pizza was their homemade lemonades. Seriously folks, I hate to be the bearer of bad (yet accurate) news, but this place needs some help...problem is that to save this business, they will have to fire the franchise and start over with their own menu and pizza creations. I was curious about the idea behind MOD, because the concept seems very good, and on their website you'll see that this chain has many former starbucks people in it. Everything here feels very market tested and corporate influenced. The deal is that you can get anything you want on a pizza for $7.17. Sounds good right (this must have been a real hit with focus groups). But the real deal is that every ingredient is very carefully meted out to maximize profit. The wafer thin crust, 1.6 oz. of sauce, 1/2 tsp of each topping resulted in a pizza that was neither tasty nor filling. The $4.27 dixie cup of beer--again, great profit maximizer. Overall, I agree with other folks who suggested you can get a better pizza next door at New Seasons (mostly organic ingredient and much larger pie for $11). read more
