Delicious pizza joint and my new favorite! Thin and crispy crust baked to perfection. Toppings are generous. Love their balsamic fig glaze on top as a super nice finish. They also offer sweet tea, unsweet tea, and a couple of homemade lemonade options. Staff: Not the friendliest, but they're efficient and get the job done right and quickly, which is fine to me.

Don't judge the pizza but my photo... I promise it tastes 1000 times better than how it looks. If you have been to Blaze and not MOD, let me tell you this: you are missing out. Cheaper price and bigger portion yet still high quality and variety of toppings. They have quite a few interesting options like sardines or balsamic fig glaze (it stole my heart). Their crust is thin but still very satisfying bready, so you get the crispy AND chewy in the same bite. The line moves quickly and the employees are very friendly. Modern decor and upbeat music with plenty of seatings. One thing I would change is to put labels for the ingredients so you can easily read out for the staff without having to guess or ask them what it is.

Make it the way you want it. Good staff. Really good pizza. MOD continues on 'My Keepers List'.

The brown lettuce given to me. This is just a small portion of the decay.

We came here because my husband and child wanted pizza and I wanted a chicken Caesar salad. Thought this would be a fair compromise. We just started eating here again these past 2 months after trying it when it first opened and getting horrible service. Let's just say I should have kept avoiding this place. Where do I even begin? I was going to buy a salad at Central Market, but decided to wait an get one at MOD instead because the last two times I went in, the salad was on point, so I had no reason to question this place. We walked in to order and noticed the romaine lettuce was super brown and wilted. I asked the brunette haired girl if she had non-brown lettuce to give instead? She responded," No, this is all we have". Her lie was so bad, that another worker looked at her confused, because my husband caught the look. I wish the other employee held an intervention and helped me not get the death lettuce. You mean tell me a restaurant known for pizza and salads was completely out of romaine lettuce? Mind boggling and my timing must have been horrible. So after hearing her lie to my face as if I was a complete idiot, I continued with the sale hoping the Caesar dressing and the other add ins would cover up the rot. Spoiler alert, it didn't. Next we moved on to the meat add ins, and I asked for chicken. She hardly gave me any chicken. Apparently chicken is also in short supply here. How this place runs with hardly any lettuce and chicken is astounding. Anyway, I know we are all shocked to learn that the salad sucked, and my stomach also agrees with this statement. I gave it two stars because my child and husband loved their pizza (insert jealous growling here), and previously this place hasn't done me wrong. Other than that, I will not be returning here to eat anymore sad salads.

Since I like the way Blaze does pizza's, decide on trying out Mod's. Easy drive over and plenty of parking. Only a couple of people in front of me. My turn and I panicked, didn't know what to order. So I just went down the row and said that and that and that. Done and thank goodness. Paid for my pizza and waited off to the side until baked. A short time later (Why don't my pizza in my oven take such a short time) and my pie is ready. I ask if he can throw arugula on top and he did. With my pie I leave the building to head home. It is still hot when I arrived. I took a couple of slices and dug in. Pretty good. The next day I reheated the pizza minus the arugula and still good. If I go back again, I will plan my pizza topping in advance so I won't panic.

Dressing leaking out of my to go container.

I just left this location. I've never had a bad experience here before, but that changed today. the employee that made my food did not prepare my order well. There was salad dressing dripping out the side of the container and got all over my car. Upon opening my salad I realized that only half of my salad had dressing on it, and I paid $17 for a salad with basically no dressing. I don't know if the dude was having a bad day or what. He made half of my salad then started to make another person's order that came in after me. Usually they will make one person's order at a time. Once he was done with my salad he placed it by the cash register where I waited alone and he continued to finish the person behind me's order. After a few minutes a different employee came to the cash register to check me out. I feel like this is not the worst experience but also just really disappointing as I come here every week. Normally the people that work there are friendly even if it was busy. It was just me and one other customer in line. Unfortunately this experience will probably result in me not ever coming back. Tons of other places I can get a basic salad from.

Mini Pizza with almist everything on it. Accompanied by Marion Blackberry Lemonade. Included a little Gorgonzola. Very good.

Added bonus of South Asian music items on play on the big screen, instead of the ubiquitous sportsball du jour. The ones playing when we were in there were from Telugu cinema, which we appreciated as our taste in Indian cinema has expanded greatly over the years from Hindi language movies. Lots of choices on the menu, will have to work through the list in months to come!

I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people.
