My son was visiting from San Francisco, and wanted to treat me to pizza, and I immediately suggested Marco's, even though I hadn't had it in a while, it has always been a go-to for us for delivery. We were both extremely satisfied with how delicious the pizza was. I consider myself a bit of a pizza snob, and this one easily ranks in my top two pizzas ever. The balance was perfect, plenty of cheese, generous toppings, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The garlic crust really sealed the deal for me; it took the whole pizza to another level. Hadn't had Marcos since 2023. I had prior noticed a sharp decline in the quality of their cheese sticks. That decline has only gotten worse. Their cheese sticks are just bread brushed with butter and sprinkled with parmesan. There is no cheese pull, and really no point of ordering this item. Marcos Pizza on Bagdad Rd is my go-to! Always fresh, fast and accurate! I get the vegetarian with one meat topping- either the meatballs or Old World sausage - added. My guy really loves the thin crust all meat pizza, the crust is very flaky with a hint of butteriness. He always snags a few slices of mine too, which he says is really good, even with all the produce! They reheat well in the air fryer for lunch the next day and I usually eat a slice cold waiting for the reheated slices to be ready! The salads are great too and are enough for two to split. Thanks Marcos, you saved me from eating that national brand that advertises on TV all the time and has to do goofy campaigns like a "spare pizza" deal because they're so average. read more

Ordered online at 4:00 pm for curb side pick up at 5:30 pm. Got there at 5:17 and park right in front of the store in my crewmax tundra so they could see I was there. I waited for 40 minutes because they were very busy. I finally got down at 6:10 to ask if my order was ready. Turns out it had been sitting there all this time. When you're looking for some easy, late night pizza, it can, at times, be difficult to branch out from your Dominoes and Papa Johns, but let me tell you - it's time to branch!! The thing I like the most about Marcos is that their sauce has a touch of sweetness, and they build a beautiful combination of cheese to sauce to topping proportions where nothing is over dominating the other. We tried Marco's at the suggestion of our son and his family, who are loyal customers. I ordered online for pickup and it was a well done website making that experience slick and easy. It gave me a 20 minute ready time and indicated they'd bring it out to my car. That's when things went a little sideways. When I got to their parking lot, it was packed but I was lucky when another customer backed out, so I pulled in and waited. 15 minutes later I hadn't seen any employees bringing out pizzas so I decided to go in. There was a line with 4 people ahead of me including a guy at the counter saying he'd waiting 20 minutes for his order . It was clear the kitchen was slammed so I put on my 'patience' hat and finally got to the counter. I think it may have been the manager working the counter who was VERY nice, apologized profusely, handed me my order and I was on my way. Both of our pizzas were still warm and tasted great. Moral of the story is to go at less busy times and be ready for a wait. It's worth it and Marco's is definitely a repeater for us! read more

Well, time to update my review! I first loved Marco's since it was the only place that would deliver to my address since at the time I wasn't even on Google Maps. Since then, Leander has grown quite a bit, and there are tons of new options and... Marco's has gone almost full dark side on marketing. If you order from these folks, you will be marketed to. You will be sent mailers, you will be put on email lists, you will get carrier pigeons sent and random singing telegrams will be sent to your door. I can't even use my real email address when I order from these folks as half the time they don't even let you unsubscribe. TL;DR: Decent pizza that delivers late, good selection, and they have a nice touch of sweetness in their marina / sauce but they make the Overly Attached Girlfriend meme come true. read more

If you look at all my review history, you can see that I almost never give less than five stars especially for restaurants. That's because I was in that business for twenty five years and can generally sympathize with minor exceptions. Here's the deal with Marco's in Leander; I have been a customer thare since the current owners took over. Besides being close by, they have been consistently good. So, what's my problem? It seems that they have gotten to a point where it's all about the money. On Saturday, I placed an order for a medium pizza with two toppings. I had just received a coupon from them that offered that pizza at $10.99. When placing the order, I told the employee that I had such coupon, She asked for the coupon number which I gave her along with the experation date of March 2024. The employee said that sometime, the coupon might not show in their system but to just show the coupon to the delivery person . This is the first time that I ever asked for delivery from Marco's and I was not told that there would be a delivery charge. The driver came pretty quickly and handed me the pizza and I could see the charge slip that read $20.34. I asked how we had gotten to that price from $10.99 but I realized that the driver could not do anything so I tipped him $3.00 and sent him on his way. I called the store and asked for the owner. John came on and I told him what happenned, he apologized and said that he would talk to the clerk. I just assumed that he would make an adjustment to the charge. This morning, the charge is still on my account. I stopped into the store and spoke with a lady who is the manager. She said that the charge was pending but it looked like they were going to give me a "Discount " of $2. That would bring me down to $18. for something that was advertised as $11. When I was an owner / operator, I would usually give a complete refund to a long term customer who had no prior complaints. I never want something for nothing but I don;t give my business where it is not appreciated. My husband order a pizza for deliver at 11:30 am online. System said it would be 45 minutes before the pizza would arrive. After it was over an hour wait and no pizza, he called. He was told it would be another 15 minutes. No explanation nor an apology. He told them he want credit back on the order since it was taking so long. They refused to give him credit and still did not get an apology. Wait another 20 minutes and the pizza arrived. The delivery person did not apologize either. Just the excuse they were busy. It was not even warm too. I know it can get very busy at times, but this is not right. We will not be doing business with this place again, because of continuing to be later than they told of expected on deliveries, nor have we always gotten what we ordered. After a recent move, I got a 'Welcome' package of coupons that included a free 2-topping medium pizza from the local Marco's. And to my pleasant surprise, this is pretty darned good! Ordered a mushroom-and-sausage medium for pickup and wasn't disappointed with the service at pickup. This sounds like a minor point, but it's not - I've been to Dominos/Little Caesar locations which are either rude, slow, or pressure me for a tip. The pizza itself is quite good. Of particular surprise are the quality of the toppings. The mushroom wasn't sweating moisture, which can lead to a damp crust. And the sausage was actually tasty enough to pick off and eat on its own! If I have any quibble, it's that I prefer a NYC style crust with char. Here, there's a fine medium-thick crust with a nice if unexceptional chew. Definitely worth your time to place an order if you're in their delivery area! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Contactless Delivery delivered to the wrong house, called the store and they blamed me for not responding to a text message that simply said "Your Order Has Been Delivered". They treated me like it was my fault, seriously? In this day and age of Google Maps, and Smart Phones there is not an excuse in the world to deliver a pizza to the wrong house. After canceling the delivery, they showed up 40 minutes later, ringing my door bell until I had to answer the door, I guess they really don't understand how contactless delivery works. I've been a long-standing customer with this Marcos, no excuses, they had the correct address, they've been delivering here for years, and after today's experience I will never order again. read more

During this time of COVID19 and being out of work, I tried to order a pizza from the Leander Store. After using one of their coupons my order came to $10.65 before tax etc. One has to have a minimum of $12.00 I am $1.35 short of that amount. There is nothing else I want. So I called and talked to a manager - Dakota-I think. He was reluctant to give me his name. Anyway, I asked several times if he would honor my order for the $10.65. He repeatedly told me no. He told me the owner, John, told him not to make any adjustments to the orders. That the order HAD TO BE $12 or more. What??? I would not call this customer service. So we decided to order pizza tonight and my wife suggested Marco's, since we had a pretty decent coupon (see picture). The coupon code didn't work online, as they hardly ever do, so I decided to call in. I told the person that answered the phone that I couldn't get the coupon to work online and after determining that it wasn't expired (3/11/2018), he said, "maybe that's a call in code". The coupon is for 'ANY LARGE Specialty Pizza & Large 1-Topping Pizza'... So I asked for The Works specialty pizza and he said that the coupon wasn't valid for that pizza because it has more toppings than the other specialty pizzas. So I reiterated that the coupon says, 'ANY LARGE Specialty Pizza' and he said, 'yeah I know, but we can't do it.' As mentioned before, it's common that their coupon codes don't work online. Also, it's probably important to say that I've had their pizza before and it's okay... Not good enough to haggle over, though. So we ended up with Dominos tonight and my wife is eating their Pacific Veggie Pizza right now and said that she likes it better than Marco's The Works Pizza, anyway.
