They had always been great and greeting people when they came in and out. The first person that we encountered could have been a bit friendlier. He wasn't rude...just not outgoing. He did wonderful job with putting the sauce on the pizza and extras. I think he was just focusing on his job. The next two people brought faith back to me. A cute girl "flower power" named Danya and another employee who had fantastic customer service...junio. He works here and at super Duper and they are both lucky to have him. Great attitude on both these employees and it makes you want to come back. The pizzas were fantastic as usual. I came here with my mom one night after work and we ordered one Mod pizza to share. I like how they have a mini (personal sized pizza) and also double crust. The mod size is pretty big. I'm not a big eater, but we almost weren't able to finish a mod size for two people, it was a lot! Especially since it's unlimited toppings - it really filled us up. I built my own pizza with a mix of BBQ sauce and red sauce which was pretty cool that they let you do that. They have a good amount of selections of toppings and sauces to choose from, which was nice. The crust was not too thin and it was overall, very flavorful and satisfying! The customer service was great! All the workers here look like they are having a blastt at work and they were all super friendly! Nadia helped me with my build your own pizza and she was awesome and helpful! One of the workers from the cashier recognized me when I was ordering and even brought the pizza to my table! While we were eating, someone was walking around asking how we were doing and if we everything was ok - awesome service! I love this place as much as I love the Pieology further up on Gellert! For a little under $9, I can spread the pizza over two meals! They are very generous when you tell them "extra [topping] please". I love customizing my pizza. Though I don't usually prefer thin crusts, theirs tasted pretty good. They definitely need to add staff to the building of the pizzas, as the line can pile up fairly quickly. They have beers on tap and a good assortment of non-alcoholic beverages as well. Loved that the staff were all super friendly even though they looked tired! Located in Serramonte, there is decent amount of parking available (on weekdays). The interior is quite spacious. We got there late Saturday night around 9:30. First time ghere and I was impressed with the options. My husband loves thick dough so we order the mega dough instead of regular dough. Nice option because Blaze did not have that option last time I was there. We added more ingredients with our pizza with no extra charge. Pizza was hot s super delicious. Usually don't leave bad reviews, but working in the food industry for many years, I've been there and done that. You're in customer service, that means you need to smile, be attentive, be personable, and you are the face of your company as your helping each guest. Firstly, know your menu. If you don't know it, well, you better get to studying! Second, try not to be rude. It's simple, guests aren't always right, BUT, try to make it better for your guests experiences. And thirdly, don't ring me up and then step away from the register. What if I wanted something else? Hardly any conversation and I'm disappointed in the service I was given here. Pizza was.. ok. I worked in a pizza restaurant before as a manager, and food and service was not up to par in my opinion. I've been here twice and all the same result unfortunately! To management- please retrain staff to know their menu items and retrain on customer service. Perhaps role play and have them learn and understand to speak properly to guests and to make them feel more warm and welcome in your facility! I had MOD Pizza for the first time while road tripping in Utah, so I was stoked to find one 10 miles from my house. 2 pizzas, huge salad for $45!!! This place is perfect for families, so many options. WiFie got her GF pie, I got anchovies!! Perfect Friday. Great for a fast cheap meal. One regular mod can feed two regular people. Ingredients are of above average quality. Staff was friendly. Definitely better than pieology, and just as good as blaze. Great location at Serramonte. Good music and ambiance; very casual and fun. A lot of good 'chemistry' between the staff, nice to see people enjoying their work. The biggest thing is that you can completely customize your pizza with as many or little toppings as you want, all for the same flat price. Stuck with some of the suggested pizza combinations, with a little bit of customization (more garlic!). The manager and staff were fantastic-friendly, accommodating, and professional. They were accommodating to our vegan diet, having dairy-free cheese and a sweet tasting fig sauce. Fresh and Delicious! We stayed past closing to finish our food and the entire staff made us feel welcome. The manager, I think his name is Josh, shared his passion for MOD pizza and how he and the staff grew up in the area, graduating from the local school. It's a plus to be around people who genuinely love doing what they're doing and it added to the whole experience. I've been missing Pieology ever since they closed down so decided to give MOD a try. There are so many of these build your own pizza places now. What I like about MOD is their mini pizza size which is perfect for kids and you can see lots of families here as evidence. Mini was perfect size for my 8 year old. The regular size was about right for adult if you're not totally hungry. In comparison to Pieology though I didn't like the crust here. It taste dry like cardboard. All pizza's are 11" and you can have as many different toppings as you want. Kat got most of the veggies they had to offer, I went with sausage, red/green peppers, and mushrooms. While the alcohol situation is minimal what they offer is great. Kat liked the house red a lot, and a glass of their IPA complemented my pie perfectly. We both like to ask for out pie's 'crispy'.
