Blaze is a very nostalgic location for me. It's reminiscent of high school days, when building your own personal pizza was all the rage. This location is solid and has everything you would want on a pizza within reason. I got ham, pineapple, and mushrooms on mine with some mozzarella and red sauce! Very traditional, lots of people doing both takeout and dining in. The crust is yummy and has a good chewy crunch to it. Definitely a fast food chain that's higher in quality. read more

I hadn't eaten at Blaze Pizza for a while and stopped by Stonestown when I needed something to eat. I noticed the Prosciutto Pizzetta ($5.95), which seemed like the perfect size since I didn't want any leftovers to take home. The Prosciutto Pizzetta is made on a light, fluffy pizzetta crust and topped with thinly sliced prosciutto, mozzarella, gorgonzola, and house-made balsamic caramelized onions. It is finished with a drizzle of olive oil and served with sides of balsamic dressing and olive oil for dipping. For $5.95, it was just the right portion size for a quick meal without having leftovers. If I'm in the neighborhood, I would come back again for something reasonable, quick, and convenient to eat. read more

It seems like lots of things changed since 2016 in SF. The Superbowl was being played at Levi's Stadium in 2016 and the concerts were free at the Embarcadero in San Francisco with free concerts at Super Bowl City with Alicia Keys and One Republic . In 2026 the last tenants at the food court ( Panda Express)at the Westfield Mall in downtown San Francisco are leaving the building. The only remaining food court at a mall in SF is Stonestown. Ten years ago the Stonestown Galleria Mall in 2016 had no movie theater inside , no escape room, no bowling alley ,and no Target . I believe what restarted what is Stonestown Mall today is when Blaze Pizza opened over 10 years ago. Customization is why people like coming here. I am able customize my pizza individually to the way I can customize my burrito at a Mission District Taqueria or at a Poke place with different types of seafood and sauces. Yes, Blaze is a fast casual pizza chain but it's way better tasting than Pizza Butt( I mean Pizza Hut). They had lots of toppings to put on a pizza and different sauces at your request. I had order one of my favorite pizzas combinations which is mushroom and extra cheese. It was kind of cheesy like some in SF and the crust had a chard . It was a bit saucy and the mushroom gave it some flavor. Overall a good pizza for a chainstore. The pizza was cheesy in 2016 and a bit more cheesier in 2026. I first came here in 2016 back in the "days "at place where you can have a pizza made a hundred different"ways" it's located by the main entrance of Stonestown Galleria and it's called "Blaze" Stonestown changed in 10 years is a different mall in 2026 it now has an escape room experience on another level inside on the "mezzanine" and a movie theater where movies can be "seen" it's changed since the year "2016" read more

So I hadn't eaten all day and this place had the shortest line at Stonestown - so I picked pizza - the young lady at tbe order stand was friendly and nice. I ordered a carnivore pizza . Typical mall ambiance - fast casual - pop music in the background -it was fine for s mall. So the pizza - the red tomato sauce was better than I was expecting. It had a full flavor of tomatoes with standard Italian seasonings - possibly my favorite part of the pizza. The crust was very thin but good flavor and soft which was good - do not like the hard cracker style of crusts. The mozzarella was good to . My only complaint would be some of the meats were a bit too salty for my liking and the amount of toppings was a bit on the light side compared to other pizzas I've had - just about everywhere. So taste was a B+ but quantity was a C- - I know several places in North Beach where I can get two big slices of pizza with much more toppings about $4 bucks cheaper. It was a decent pizza had some good flavors but hurt by too much salt in some of the meats and too little toppings. Would I go here again - if I was in need of convince and very hungry like today - sure - pizza was much better than lots of chain places like pizza hut, etc ( which are so greasy they give me heartburn) but if I have the time - rather go to North Beach for better pizza - it just a pain looking for parking there. read more

After my last visit, 11 years ago (see review), on a whim I decided to stop by since I was in the mall. As mentioned in my previous visit, they have same issues of making an oily 11"pizza with the crust so thin that it was not even able to hold up my toppings of sausage, mushroom and bell peppers. I witnessed individuals who were requesting at least 6-9 different toppings only to chuckle when they discovered that the toppings would all fall off. I had to use a fork to fold over each slice before shoveling each piece into my mouth and whoever cut the pizza slices it was so bad that when I would try to pick that slice up it would tear apart into a smaller portion. $21.49 was the total for this terrible never come back here again pie. read more

Last Sunday we had a very large group of 9 year old girls coming from a birthday party gathering inside the mall and we ended up at Blaze Pizza for lunch. Christine and her crew did a fantastic job getting out 14 large pizzas! They did a great job communicating and the most important aspect was the pizza was delicious! TGIF!!! Super busy on Friday around 6.30pm. Online orders were being processed too, so the wait was about 30 mins, from lining up to getting the food. I'm not the biggest pizza fan, I don't crave it too often which is fine because pizza these days is so expensive! We arrived around 12:30 pm, and there was already a line with only a few tables left. Since it was our first time here, we had some questions about the menu, which didn't provide much detail. We asked the cashier how many slices came in a large and regular pizza, but she didn't know and had to check with her manager. Then we asked about the "take two" option on the menu, and again, she didn't know and had to ask her manager. When we told her we wanted a half-and-half pizza with signature toppings, she misunderstood and thought we wanted two separate pizzas. There was a lot of back-and-forth because she couldn't grasp what we were trying to say. Eventually, we were passed to the person prepping our pizza. She didn't ask what we wanted and just started making a basic pizza with tomato sauce and mozzarella. We had to correct her, explaining that we ordered half spicy pepperoni and half blazed BBQ. She had to start over, but she got it right in the end. After ordering, we waited about 8 minutes for our food. We got a regular pizza (half spicy pepperoni, half blazed BBQ) and the pesto garlic bread. The food was good overall, but the pesto garlic bread could've used more garlic. I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the lack of knowledge from the first worker and the confusing menu, which doesn't include prices (see photo). You only find out how much the pizzas cost at checkout. While the food was decent, the overall experience left room for improvement. read more

Been here a few times since it is so convenient in the stonestown mall. I like the idea that you can put whatever toppings you like on your personal pizza. One of the highlights of their pizza is the thin crust. I love the thin crust as it is cooked to perfection. They are also super quick and efficient with the orders making it also an easy to go meal. Fast and efficient staff. The guys there took my order and then threw me straight to the front of the line to pay. They were able to take my request and make the pizza well done, and surprisingly it cooked very fast. They got us in, fed and out in no time. These guys aren't messing around. Haven't been here in a minute! Husband and I came here on a Sunday night and it was nice to order a custom pizza for a change! Normally we just go to pizza places that already has a set menu. I love that they allow you to put anything on your pizza. If you're a picky eater or care a lot about toppings then Blaze is a go to but I personally love everything so I just add whatever toppings to my pizza. Right after you pay, it only took less than 10 minutes for them to bake it and we were on the way home. About $20 for a build your own with high rise dough with unlimited toppings. Honestly in my opinion Mod Pizza in the Serramonte Center in South SF/Daly City is better & had a few more toppings to choose from. Stonestown is one of the busiest malls in the SF area so Blaze was super busy. I used to like the pizza here. But it's been awhile since I've been back and on this visit to the mall, we decided to try the carnivore. They were pretty good about letting us add what toppings we wanted. I like that I don't have to wait 20 mins or more for the pizza. Hubby got one of their lemonade mix drinks, it was too sweet. He tried the plain lemonade and I tasted it and it tasted like there was a scent of gasoline. I wasn't happy with the crust. It used to be more airy and crispy. But now it was bland and texture like cardboard. Overall, staff working that day were pleasant and not rude as others have posted. I always liked this place, maybe more now than I did when I was an SFSU student. I feel like their pizzas taste better now than back then when my student org did fundraisers with Blaze. However many years ago that was. I don't remember, I have the dementia. Service can be slow sometimes depending on how big the group you're unfortunate enough to have in front of you is and how long they take to figure out what toppings they want on their pizza. But that's more of an indictment on the noobs that I guess have never seen pizza toppings before than the staff. If you have no dietary restrictions, just do what I do and order a build your own with everything on it.
